Holy…just…wow. Excuse me while I try and maintain some level of professionalism before this turns in a gush-session. Ladies and gents, the day has finally come, Above & Beyond’s latest release in their long line of legendary mix compilations is here: Anjunabeats Volume 11 is out now. The 31 track double-disc comp hasn’t even been out for 24 hours and it’s already #1 on the iTunes Dance Chart in the United States. To celebrate the release and its rapid success, the boys have put together a 10 minute mini mix to showcase their brightest new talent and future shining stars. It samples tracks from: Thomas Schwartz & Fausto Fanizza, 16 Bit Lolitas, ilan Bluestone & Jerome Isma-Ae, Super 8 & Tab with Jaytech, Audien, Boom Jinx, Andrew Bayer, and of course Above & Beyond themselves.  The earlier half of this mix sticks to the deeper side of things, drawing you into the intimate side of Anjunabeats and Anjunadeep, while the latter half is fiery, to previewing the high energy side and peak time beats of the current Anjunabeats collection.

The Anjunabeats label is in its 14th year of existence, and continues to be a driving force in the progression of dance music. Yes, their roots are deeply seated in the world of trance, but this group has never been one to settle with complacency; they continue to bring forth new artists and unique sounds, supporting the evolution of dance music and the people within it. If you were to run through all these Anjuna compilations you would see (or hear rather) just how magnificent their journey has been and it’s one we’re certainly glad to have been brought along for. If you’re new to the label, these artists, or dance music in general, then you’ve picked a good place to start. With Volume 11, the focus here is not on any genre, but the connection of a variety styles and the art of the build (…not the ‘art’ of the drop). As with every new volume, this installment serves as a representation of where Above & Beyond and Ajunabeats stand now, and where they’re going in the near future.

Anjunabeats Volume 11 is out now on Anjunabeats and Ultra Records, and can be purchased in the Anjunastore and iTunes.  If you care to test its waters first, stream the mini mix below (if you’re driving, just…be careful). Welcome to Anjunabeats 2014. Enjoy.
