[Video] Axwell /\ Ingrosso Unleash Numerous Unreleased Tunes During Debut at Governors Island

There has been a lot of hype surrounding the new group: Axwell/\Ingrosso, made up of 2/3 of the disbanded Swedish House Mafia. The Swedish duo made their debut last night, on day 3 of the annual Governor’s Ball on Randall’s Island in New York City. During the day leading up to their debut, Axwell and Ingrosso separately tweeted from their accounts that they would be debuting six new songs during their set and with this news along with the creation of their iPhone app and social media strategy, we were ready for some greatness.

Two confirmed premiered IDs (so far) were “Can’t Hold Us Down” and “On My Way”. Two progressive house goodies that at first listen, don’t veer very far from the music produced by SHM. “On My Way” has the lyrics that beg to be quoted over and over and sung at the top of your lungs and “Can’t Hold Us Down” was more reminiscent of “We Come, We Rave, We Love” duo to the repetitive vocals over a building beat.
