Avalon Hollywood is known as an epicenter of dance music in the vibrant, dynamic Los Angeles scene. A veteran on the scene with staying power, Avalon celebrated its 10-year anniversary in October 2013. In March, DJ Mag released the 2014 edition of its Top 100 Clubs list and Avalon came in at #40, jumping 9 slots from last year’s list. To ensure that the landmark venue stays fresh and inviting to fans as it continues to bring in top talent from all over the world, the club recently underwent major renovations. A transformed lobby with a center bar will welcome in fans before they enter the main room. The main room has new VIP booths and 150 LED panels lining the walls of the historic venue. The renovations also mean a new, one-of-a-kind sound system, the “Avalon by EAW” CLUB.one sound system, designed by owner John Lyons with EAW.
To celebrate the club’s new look, Avalon Hollywood is currently hosting a four-day series of events under the banner “The Grand Reveal” after a private unveiling for friends & family this past Tuesday night. For electronic music fans, CONTROL and AVALAND, the club’s hallmark dance music nights, are holding events this weekend. CONTROL Friday will have headliner Congorock joined by Jordy Dazz, Joel Fletcher, Sam Hiller and David Dann. AVALAND Saturday will host Erick Morillo for a 5-hour set along with Wayne & Woods.
