Spotify, the Swedish music-streaming application, announced new information today solidifying the fact that the company is certainly the leader of the streaming game. While recent news of Apple purchasing Beats by Dr. Dre astounded many listeners [especially considering the selling price of $3.2 billion], Spotify’s updated net value might be even more impressive.
According to Spotify, the company now has 10 million subscribed users, each paying $10.00 a month for the service. Of the 10 million, 3 million of which are subscribed from the United States. And, as speculation of revenue and value continue to circulate, it is suggested that Spotify has reached a value of nearly $10 billion.
