Jack Eye Jones’ original mix, “Far East,” along with the Blasterjaxx remix, has finally dropped on Beatport. The two versions are great juxtapositions of the same genre, with Jack’s original leaning heavily on a progressive, far-East flavored vibe that he’s masterfully formed into a lead-in peak time banger. Blasterjaxx’ version takes it up a notch, cloaking the original in their more aggressively tuned style. Synth stabs interplay with the original melody and additional horns, that all come together throughout the build-up and into a gorgeous drop. Package tracks such as this are a real treat, as it’s always interesting to compare how official remixes interplay and utilize what they are given from the original. Of course, the great sounds of the original track in this case make for a wonderful remix, and with Jack Eye Jones’ heavy Ibiza presence, coupled with Blasterjaxx’ heavy festival rotation, we expect to hear a version of this track all around the world this Summer.
