A few days ago, Spinnin’ Records teased us with an ID remix preview of Robin Thicke‘s Feel Good which undoubtedly had “Gecko’s” footprints all over it. As expected, Oliver Heldens, the 18 year old, Dutch producer/DJ is behind the production. The remix begins with some quick, rolling drum hits and jumps right to a bouncy, deep bass groove. Heldens continues to produce a sound that will serve as a great introduction to more traditional house music for American dance music fans. The drop, commented by many others, sounds distinctively similar to the techy beats of “Gecko,” but that was expected. Heldens reassures his fans by replying, “Yes, it’s a remix for a big artist, not an original track. So many different original tracks coming with weird Techno influences, so don’t worry ;-).”
