Amsterdam-based trance label Armada Music is offering an anniversary remix series of brand classics as commemoration for past successes and a hopeful outlook on future talent. Norwegian DJ Orjan Nilsen takes a swing at Audien’s uplifting hit, “Leaving You,” slowing down the pulse of the original while boosting the bass line to be a prominent layer in the tune. By simplifying the chord progression and removing the backup vocals that provided the original with a splash of disco, Nilsen successfully highlights the catchy hook that made “Leaving You” a fan favorite to begin with.
