On Monday, Terrorhythm Recordings released a 2 track pack entitled ‘Crystals’ that consisted of a track by up and comer Awe, and a remix by Djemba Djemba. While the track is a beautiful electronic symphony all of it’s own, it’s the remix that caught our ears; it features Deja Hatsune, Miku Hatsune’s “little sister”, a “humanoid persona voiced by a singing synthesizer application”. The remix takes the beautiful electro track and puts an anime spin on it, speeding up the tempo into a style aptly named ‘nightcore’ while overlaying the original sound with the previously mentioned vocals. This remix is part of a potentially growing trend as the electronic music scene expands into all aspects of culture and more people are exposed to the tools at their disposal.
