Alvin Risk Enlists Nyan Cat Creator for ‘Zoom’ Music Video

In 2011, Chris Torres created Nyan Cat, a video featuring an animated feline with a Pop-Tart body flying through space to the sound of a Japanese pop song. It was trippy and bizarre and quickly became an internet sensation, versioned into memes and GIFs, and amassing over 100 million views.

Now, to kick of 2014, Alvin Risk has enlisted Torres to create the visual for his track “ZOOM!” off of the Junk Food EP. To no surprise, the video, a colorful, psychedelic adventure with appearances from Nyan Cat and animated Alvin Risk, is equally as trippy. And while it’s is a bit puzzling, it actually seems to be a great fit when paired with the track.
