We all know this year was a spectacular one for Hardwell, with hit after hit and show after show all serving to launch the superstar to the very top of DJ stardom. Without a doubt, “Apollo” may be the crowning achievement of it all. Throughout his path to being voted the number one DJ in the world (by DJMag poll participants), Hardwell has used “Apollo” as a guaranteed crowd pleaser in more or less every set he has played. Serving as the anthem for Hardwell’s success, everybody knows the electrifying melody and Amba Shepherd’s sing-along worthy vocals.
A year and one day after the original’s release, Revealed Recordings has unveiled a teaser of an acoustic version of the track. Mellowed out and sentimental, the acoustic version showcases Amba’s voice and the emotional undercurrent of this massive hit. The acoustic version is featured in the “I Am Hardwell” documentary and on the accompanying soundtrack, due out on December 6th.
