The Most “Liked” DJ’s on Facebook (2013)

There are few better ways to gauge internet popularity these days than social media, with Facebook leading the pack.  With the DJ Mag 2013 results right around the corner, many have their own thoughts on who will be Top 10, in what is often debated as being a glorified popularity contest.  This said, while it may be nearly impossible for anyone without a PR campaign to stop Armin from winning his sixth #1 finish in seven years, no amount of marketing would ever get me on that list, and for that…the list deserves at least some credit.

It will be interesting to see how some of this year’s buzzworthy DJs’ “Facebook likes” correspond with their rank on the forthcoming list.  Note: While this list is not the real “Top 17,” these artists all have a pretty reasonable chance of doing well.

David Guetta by a landslide.  In fact, he is 500k shy of beating Tiesto, Skrillex, Daft Punk, & Deadmau5 combined.  Hmmm.  Could I have stumbled on a secret formula for predicting success?  Probably not, but the stats paint an interesting picture of some of our most popular DJs out there.

Any other surprises on this list?
