It is rather rare to see breakthrough producers/DJs in the dance music industry from continents such as Asia and Africa but Rikkaz, a native of Kenya, has definitely given us a shimmer of excitement that there may well be many hidden talents in those parts of the world. Rikkaz is relatively new to the scene and his music influences mainly came from the likes of Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten and Lange. Originally just putting together mashups and bootlegs in 2010, which already gained support from the world renowned radio shows such as A State of Trance, Corsten’s Countdown and VONYC Sessions, just to name a few, Rikkaz has begun dropping his own releases late 2012 and unsurprisingly, each new release of his has been gaining wider and wider support from the Trance community. This new one from Rikkaz, A New Beginning, was already voted as number 1 in the latest Corsten’s Countdown.
