Eric Prydz has been on an absolute tear the past couple of months, and his newest release, “Layers”, only continues to add to the already legendary resume of this distinguished producer. With nods from the likes of Pete Tong on his Essential Selection radio show, and from Above & Beyond on their Group Therapy Radio, “Layers” (originally titled Reeperbahn Chordapella Mix, for those curious) is an absolutely infectious tune that will get you out of your seat in a hurry. The ludicrously catchy melody (seriously, I’m going to be humming this for days now) employed by Prydz is more or less present for the entire song, with drums and additional synths phasing in and out of the track as it moves along. It is a great festival tune, and if you are attending EDC Las Vegas this week, you are almost guaranteed to hear it. Check it out, and be sure to purchase it on Beatport if you like it.
