Astronomyy – Something About U (Artlife Remix)
Every morning, I wake up, grab some coffee, and scroll through SoundCloud looking for new music. Usually, my mornings are spent catching up on releases that I’ve missed from artists that I follow, but every once in a while, like today, I come across a virtually undiscovered artist with some serious talent and I am compelled to write about it. Artlife consists of two close friends, Casper Jansen and Benjamin Brommer, living together in Amsterdam with barely 80 SoundCloud followers to their name, but what they lack in following, they more than make up for in talent.
Jansen and Brommer only have a couple of tracks uploaded, but their most recent effort is a remix of Astronomyy‘s “Something About U” that is seriously good. On the remix, Artlife lays down a classic house backbone, accompanied by a bubbly bass line and groovy synth arrangements that gives “Something About U” an uplifting and energetic feel.
