Melanie Martinez – Pity Party (Myles Travitz Remix)
Myles Travitz deserves a big congrats and shoutout for this one. Any first major label release is commendable, but when it’s this good, awards are in order. Out as part of the remix package for Melanie Martinez’s  “Pity Party,” this Atlantic Records remix is one for everyone’s party playlist. Myles manages to cram numerous styles and a multitude vibes in this lil’ 3-minute rager. Trap inspired snares and claps, grungy electro-esque baselines, and a soaring future bass synth melody all come together to make “Pity Party” something you’ll be craving to hear played out live. The feisty sass in the lyrics is exaggerated within the builds, and there’s a huge emotional release in the drop; it’s a beautiful thing with the instrumental mirrors the vocals this well. This is something we’ve come to expect from Mr. Travitz though, as he’s done this before in his Gallant remix and NGHTMRE & Slander remix.
