The journey that ‘Odd One Out’ takes us on is like a rollercoaster of feelings. It starts with a mix of an enchanting piano melody and emotionally haunting vocals. Salvo’s enthralling vocals are especially captivating and tung onto your heartstrings. This part sets the mood for the whole story that the song tells. The story in the song is about feeling lonely and lost but finding a way to find yourself through rediscovery and strength. The words in the song tell us about the struggle of being different and feeling like you don’t belong. But as the music goes on, it’s like the song is saying, “It’s okay to be different,” and it gives us hope that we can find our place in the world. Rival’s production prowess takes center stage as the track evolves, showcasing his masterful ability to blend an array of sonic elements seamlessly. The propulsive bassline serves as a driving force, propelling the listener forward while resonating with the story the vocals paint.

Coinciding with the release, Rival is pleased to announce “INTRODUCING RIVAL”, an unparalleled live set to be showcased on YouTube on September 8. This is the first time he’s performing live, and it’s a way for people all around the world to be introduced to his depth as a producer and DJ.

Rival – Be Gone (ft. Caravn)

German producer Rival has been on his A-game lately having been putting out song after amazing song. And now just two weeks after the release of his last piece, he’s returning to release another killer song, ‘Be Gone‘, for your listening pleasure.

While Rival produces songs spanning an amazing range of styles, lately he’s been releasing tracks on the lighter end of the spectrum with his last two releases being the future bass piece ‘Make You Stay‘ and the pop-y ‘Axis Of Your Love‘. So ‘Be Gone’ is definitely a welcome change of pace. Featuring Caravn’s vocals, the song has the right amount of emotional weight to create a moving piece without being too heavy. The end result is a good reminder of the breadth of his abilities as well as an excellent addition to your playlists.

He’s also just released an incredible lyric video to accompany the track. Give the track a listen and definitely also check out the video below.

Rival – Lately (ft. Conor Byrne)

From melodic trap to bass to pop, German producer Rival really excels at it all. In just the past year we’ve seen him grow so far; in both his abilities as well as in his fan-base. Regardless of whether his songs we’re self-released or released on a respected label, his past productions have all been met with public acclaim. And now he’s back to self-release his newest track with vocalist Conor Byrne; ‘Lately‘.

Rival’s natural talent for production and songwriting shouldn’t even need to be mentioned by now. But what does need to be pointed out is his apparent talent for picking the perfect vocalist for the perfect piece. And that’s exactly what Conor Byrne is to ‘Lately’. His vocals combined with Rival’s productions result in a laid-back pop piece that’s nothing short of perfection. All in all, ‘Lately’ is another amazing release from the wunderkind.
