The next two collections will release late March and mid-April. Details on costs and utilities are not available yet. The layer-1 blockchain Avalanche will power the NFT collection, which is the eighth-largest blockchain by NFT sales volume in the past 30 days, according to CryptoSlam data. Coachella partnered with Avalanche because they’re “aligned on the product” the festival wants to build. However, it isn’t revealing any details until later this month. There have been a lot of new NFT collections since the term even gained adoption. OpenSea alone has over 2 million collections and 80 million NFTs on its marketplace, according to its website.

This isn’t the first music-related endeavor that offers real-life use. Web3 sector is changing the way its perceived, thanks to utility-driven NFTs . The word NFT used to mean sometimes overpriced, digital profile pictures (PFPs). Now it’s referring to digital pictures that also have utility on and offline. This is one of the most relevant signs that NFT marketplaces will find new users and grow sales.

CEO and co-founder of OpenSea Devin Finzer mentioned that NFT-based music and ticketed collections are one of the “best ways” for NFT to gain mainstream approval. While OpenSea has done “smaller music-related NFT projects” in the past. This one targets ticketing and VIP access, something Finzer — and others — have been planning for a long time.

“Coachella has the audience and distribution to take it to a whole other level,” Finzer added.

“The willingness to make this an NFT that is useful and valuable and something people will be excited about versus some of the things in the past NFT projects have been, maybe more half baked, this is something that is sophisticated and exciting with real world value.”

Devin Finzer

This partnership can serve as another push by OpenSea to gain back power in a saturated market. On January 1, 2022, NFT global sales volume plateaued at $23.7 billion. In the past month, NFT marketplaces saw $2.21 billion in volume, according to analytics from Tiexo.

With that said, since 2017, OpenSea has transacted over $20 billion in volume. But even with that much total volume, OpenSea isn’t the biggest NFT marketplace today. Recently, OpenSea ranked as the fourth largest. It owns 10% of the market share, which is $222.65 million. It is just behind of Blur, Magic Eden and OKX, Tiexo data showed. The project is making buying NFTs easier. Instead of needing crypto wallets, people can simply sign up through email. Email sign-ups and credit card on-ramps are growing trends for the typically inaccessible sector.

“For a long time, web3 had a usability problem,” Finzer said. But over the last three to four years, there’s been a lot of development to make them easier to understand

“We’re making it part of the experience on Coachella, so they can sign up easily and get the NFT easily.”

Yuga Labs, the parent company of Bored Ape Yacht Club, spoke with 22 people who had eye problems after Apefest, said Louise Conroy, a company representative :

“We are very distressed by these reports. Regardless of the outcome of the investigation, we intend to do the right thing by our community members.”

Attendees took to X (formerly Twitter) to ask other fest-goers if they had similar symptoms. Some reported burning eyes, temporary blindness, and overall skin burns. Apparently, UV light from the stage could be the cause of it all. UV radiation can cause photokeratitis, which is essentially a condition that is caused by prolonged exposure to extreme levels of UV radiation, typically from artificial sources, but can also come from natural sunlight reflecting off bright surfaces such as snow, more commonly known as snow blindness.

Bored Ape Yacht Club released a statement on Monday. The exclusive club stated that “less than 1% of those attending and working the event had these symptoms”. More than 2,250 people attended Apefest. While the investigation is still pending, we hope that everyone affected is doing better now.

One of the world’s top Progressive House and Electro House legends, deadmau5, unveils his latest song, ‘Apnea‘, exclusively on LimeWire. Furthermore, all subscribers received a digital collectible which allow them to earn 10% of ad revenues. Those revenues are earned from the track paid in $LMWR.

Many fans of deadmau5 first heard about the exclusivity on LimeWire through this Reddit thread from the r/deadmau5 subreddit. There were plenty of surprised reactions since the once-popular file sharing site recently rebranded itself as an NFT platform. Check out the Instagram post where both deadmau5 and LimeWire jointly announce the exclusive release of ‘Apnea’ (and the cool rewards for LimeWire subscribers). Additionally, view the same announcement from LimeWire’s Twitter below as well.

‘Apnea’ from deadmau5 has a creative spirit that shows why it is exclusive on LimeWire

‘Apnea’ from deadmau5 gives off that chill and also excited vibe that the Canadian producer has produced for the past couple of decades. The music video, which has music video director Nick DenBoer providing the vibrant visuals, has a giant-like figure that has the iconic deadmau5 head on it, walking through a grass field full of lollipops and ice cream cones. To stream the exclusive (and colorfully unique) video on LimeWire, click on this link. One can imagine that the creative spirit of ‘Apnea’, particularly through the video’s visuals, is why the track is LimeWire-exclusive.

This is not the first time these two great artists have come together. In detail, they share a large collection of NFTs that share the same meta world and characters. Between ANYMA’s musical perfection and Alessio’s flawless digital art, they create a story from piece to piece. ANYMA even plays the NFTs as visuals for his live DJ sets.

What Is An NFT?

Non-Fungible Tokens are unique digital tokens that represent ownership over a particular asset. They are recorded on a blockchain and can be used to authenticate the request and transfer money securely between two parties. The token also ensures that the original asset remains unaltered and can be tracked if moved from one owner to another.

They differ from cryptocurrencies because they cannot be traded for one another. NFTs are usually a piece of digital art and/or music. ANYMA’s ‘Eternity’ is a great example.

Sotheby’s

Established in 1744, Sotheby’s is the world’s largest marketplace for art and luxury. Their mission is to provide their clients access to the best pieces available in the market, both digital and physical. Having your art for sale here is a milestone in any artist’s career.

Conclusion

ANYMA’s ‘Eternity’ will join his extensive collection of luxury NFT’s. All have sold for over $30,000, and others, $100,000+. Together, they add up to over 1.5 million dollars in digital assets. If you want a piece of this collection, ‘Eternity’ is still available through Sotheby’s.

The video kicks with Mo introducing Steve’s impressive background and love for fashion. Mo gets a quick tour of Steve’s house and then walks in into a studio session. The two quickly dive into the closet, where they chat about Steve’s introduction to music, fashion, as well as his inspiration. Steve tells Mo about throwing parties when he was only making $50 a gig to starting his label DIM MAK–which put artists like Bloc Party and The Kills in the spotlight. Today, Steve spends his time doing everything from hand-painting designer clothes to making NFTs with Snoop Dogg. Many of his featured clothing pieces are printed NFT designs.

LimeWire Originals NFT holders will enjoy free VIP access to both clubs for free throughout the 2022 season. The company is betting on the reopening of Ibiza this summer for this partnership to work. Obviously, the pandemic hit hard on the popular destination – Ibiza nightlife was dormant since the beginning of the pandemic – so the summer of 2022 should be one of the biggest ones yet. Paul and Julian Zehetmayr, LimeWire’s Co-CEOs released a joint statement on the matter.

“Providing our LimeWire Original holders with exclusive access during this first full season since the pandemic sets the benchmark for the types of real-life experiences we intend to unlock for our customers. This is the first of many LimeWire partnerships, which will bring NFT music experiences to life— beyond just visual art.”

Ibiza regulars can add their email to the waitlist for an opportunity to get one of the Limewire NFTs. Only 500 of those digital collectibles will be available for pre-sale. Make sure to add your email if you want a chance at this cool opportunity.

When you hear the word “Limewire“, chances are your mind goes back to the early 2000’s, when you would spend countless hours downloading music. Today, Limewire is prepping for a relaunch as a NFT marketplace specializing in art, music, and entertainment.

NFT Marketplace

Once ordered to shut down back in 2010, Limewire decided to make a comeback to capitalize on the current NFT craze. Now the platform is promising to provide artists and fans with the means to buy and trade digital collectables like NFTs, such as limited-edition releases, unreleased tracks, exclusive live works, merchandise, and backstage content.

“The biggest challenge with digital collectibles and the broader crypto market, in general, is that it’s really limited to a small group of savvy users. We want to remove all those obstacles and make it easy for people to participate, while at the same time offering an exciting platform for crypto natives.”

Paul Zehetmayr, Limewire’s Co-Founder

UMG Partnership

Limewire is currently partnering with Universal Music Group (UMG) for global content licensing. This partnership would give all UMG artists the ability to offer NFTs on the Limewire platform. This covers all UMG’s labels, including Interscope Records, Republic Records, Def Jam Recordings, Capitol Records, Motown Records, Geffen, EMI, Virgin Music, and many more.

Algorand Blockchain

Algorand, a carbon-negative blockchain for minting energy-efficient NFT transactions, will be the official Limewire blockchain to power its NFT marketplace. Limewire will launch a token later this year to provide exclusive community access, voting mechanisms, and a reward system for those who hold the token.
