This remix arrives at a pivotal time for both artists. Above & Beyond are fresh off a massive global tour and are currently gearing up for a highly anticipated sunrise set at EDC Las Vegas on May 16. Meanwhile, Koven continues their meteoric rise following their 2025 album Moments in Everglow and a stellar BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix.

Comprising producer Max Rowat and vocalist Katie Boyle, Koven have carved out a unique space in electronic music with their fusion of live vocals, immersive storytelling, and explosive production. Their 2025 album marked a major milestone, earning support from BBC Radio 1 and MTV, while recent singles ‘The High We Seek’ and ‘Orbit’ were both named Hottest Record on Radio 1 by Jack Saunders. The duo also delivered their first Essential Mix, further cementing their status as one of the most exciting acts in drum & bass.

“Being able to remix a track from the absolute legends Above & Beyond is such an honor for us,” say Koven. “They were the first huge-name DJs we heard play one of our tracks, when we saw them play our collab with Ilan Bluestone at the O2 back in 2018. So this feels like a real bucket list moment. Zoe’s performance on this track is stunning, and we’re so pleased with how our styles came together.”

‘Carry Me Home’ – the Koven Remix

It is an unexpected take that will surprise audiences when Above & Beyond plays it at festivals. As drum & bass is gaining popularity in North America, we’d point this out as a strategic move as much as it is creative. It is a high BPM remix, whereas the original is a melodic, slower-focused piece that Above & Beyond are known for. Overall, it will get audiences dancing, which is most important.

One of the world’s largest gatherings year-round is about to begin. Tomorrowland is getting its doors ready for an impressive congregation of ravers and music lovers, for the usual two weekends in Belgian grounds. All artists and stages are already written down and posted for everyone to have a look and decide where to be at, and at what time.

But it is super overwhelming. Given the amount of DJs playing at all times, we’ve decided to break it down and pick our top sets for each day of Weekend 2. So, if you’re heading over to Tomorrowland and your brain is melting a bit from too much info, sit down, relax, and read on.

Here are our top sets you cannot miss this weekend at Tomorrowland, in no particular order.

Friday

Swedish House Mafia

Mainstage — 22:50 – 23:50

Yes, the exact same act, the exact same stage and the exact same timeslot as last weekend. But honestly, who can we blame? It’s the Swedish House Mafia. We now have a reference of what they played last Friday, and, to be frank, I don’t think anyone would complain if they played roughly the same tonight. So. Many. Memories! (did you see the video of the girl going “DALEEEEE, PA PAAAA” during ‘Greyhound’? She’s our spiritual raver.)

Hardwell

Mainstage – 23:50 – 00:50

We saw him last Friday. Pure bliss. We wish it had lasted longer! But fear no more: for all the Mainstage goers who are going to be left buzzing tonight, right after SHM, Dutch icon Hardwell will be in charge of closing Tomorrowland’s most iconic spot. We’re still recovering from his Freedom set, so we’re craving more of him!

HI-LO

Atmosphere Stage – 21:00 – 23:00

The man, the legend. Back in the times when Martin Garrix was serenading the world with ‘Animals’, this man put out ‘Gecko’ and broke the internet just as much. Ten years ago, Oliver Heldens kicked off his side project HI-LO, focused on a harder Electro-then-gone-Techno alias that’s now arguably even greater than his main moniker. Don’t miss what he’s got to say at Atmosphere.

Saturday

Koven

Planaxis Stage – 22:00 – 23:00

If you’re looking to have a great time, go see Katie. Koven is a stellar duo, producing bangers on a handful of speeds and styles. Their Drum & Bass is perhaps their most recognisable sound, but they have a core essence that is so unique to them that it’s unmistakable. Also, Katie’s energy while playing? Absolute crush.

A-Trak B2B The Magician

The Library – 20:00 – 21:00

These two have made history, even if they don’t sound familiar straight away. While A-Trak is famous for his ‘Heads Will Roll’ remix, The Magician made a name for himself remixing Lykke Li’s ‘I Follow Rivers’. If you haven’t sung both of these… no, you must be lying. Catch them going back-to-back for one happy hour at The Library.

Armin van Buuren

Mainstage – 21:25 – 22:25

We witnessed Armin close the Mainstage last Friday in style. He played bangers old and new, even pleasing Old-School Trance fans. The icing on the cake? He closed by inviting Rob Swire, legendary vocalist of Pendulum and 1/2 of Knife Party, to sing their upcoming ID, ‘Sound Of You’ live. We’re eagerly awaiting to see what Armin van Buuren has planned this weekend.

Sunday

Tale Of Us

Freedom – 22:00 – 23:30

Yup, Swedish House Mafia are not the only ones to repeat their slot, stage and act. We also welcome back to Freedom label founders Tale Of Us, the heads leading the Afterlife movement. Their Melodic Techno style has transcended every single boundary, and they’ll be closing the stage on Sunday with an hour-and-a-half set.

John Summit

Crystal Garden – 20:30 – 22:00

Don’t we all love this guy? John Summit himself, the man who introduced the Tech House sound that is much more melodic and apt for all ears than its historic counterpart, is playing at Crystal Garden on Sunday. We can’t wait to hear his biggest hits and upcoming chart toppers live, with the smile and energy he’s known for.

Amelie Lens

Atmosphere Stage – 20:30 – 22:30

She’s won over our hearts. She was once a devoted clubber. And now… she still is! Whenever Amelie Lens is not demolishing entire crowds with her furious, irresistible Techno beats, you can catch her in that very crowd, enjoying the feeling of listening to music just like her attendees. Catch her at Atmos this Sunday.

Final Words

And that’s it! Did we miss anything? We hope you have the best weekend at Tomorrowland, and we can’t wait to see what goes down during the final days of this edition of the festival. See you there!

It’s out! Highly anticipated, ‘The Outlines‘ has seen the light of day. This exciting brand new collaboration from Katie & Max, aka Koven, and The Prototypes‘ former member Chris Garvey as Circadian, is out on all platforms as of today. Following absolutely stellar careers for both parts, this absolute banger of a track comes to be one of the most anticipated releases of the year in the world of DnB.

On Koven’s side, prior to this release, this year they released the Higher Ground (Part 2) EP. It’s a collection of six tracks, all very powerful and with a distinctive Katie & Max sound. On Circadian’s side, he debuted this new solo alias this year with his single ‘Body Work‘, after announcing he’d be stepping away from the The Prototypes duo to pursue his solo sound.

The Outlines

Monstercat tends to leave little to no room for error on its releases, and this one is surely no exception. The epic distant guitars pair with Katie’s voice, a staple of the genre by now, building up to a neverending tension-filled beat just before the build and the drop, which, as you’d expect, is a bomb of a drop. The unmistakable kick and snare pattern is paired with powerful basslines, growls, and other textures. All elements work in a melodic-yet-potent fashion. Both parties worked together to craft a wonderful piece.

There’s an Asphalt game aura in this song. I wouldn’t be surprised if it popped in a racing game. Actually, they already have a song out on Rocket League, ‘All We Needed‘.

Go ahead and listen to Koven & Circadian’s ‘The Outlines’ right below for your Spotify play, or click here to be redirected to YouTube. Alternatively, click here to support the single elsewhere.

Attendees can look forward to three days instead of two. The event is also featuring six stages with more than 250 artists total from around the world. Enjoy swimming pools, skate ramps, big-screen cinema, before and after parties, plus a silent disco. Rampage returns to its pristine getaway home in Belgium to celebrate all things drum & bass and dubstep. They successfully debuted in 2019 but the pandemic forced them into a two-year hiatus. Now, they’re back and ready to top their last.

Crowd favorite artists include Macky Gee, Koven and Kanine, and Luude. Every facet is covered with the neuro from Audio, The Upbeats, Pythius, Teddy Killerz, Ed Rush, and Neonlight. The jump-up gang can indulge in Invaderz, Original Sin, Upgrade, Hedex, Turno, Problem Centro, and Annix. I don’t believe this festival is for the faint of heart, as the bass floods your ears and pound your chests.

Top-notch production, lights, LEDs, and lasers as far as your eyes can see await you. In addition to the activities mentioned above, the event will also host carnival rides, a festival market, and the most comfortable circumstances to enjoy the music. Three-day tickets start at 90€ while day tickets start at 45€. Want to camp? Snag your spot for 40€ for 3 days. Get them here. Check out the Rampage Open AIr lineup poster below.

After months of French clubs being closed due to Covid restrictions, you could be sure that the first D’n’B event of 2022 was something to look out for. The show was sold out, the artists ready to deliver, and we were there to cover the whole thing.

Ear-shaped Parisian venue Trabendo was where it all happened. 700+ people headed to the dancefloor and witnessed all 6 DJs play their biggest tracks and the crowd favorites. Koven took over the stage for a once-again great performance, combining the DJ set and live singing. Fans danced and sang to the artist’s best hits such as ‘Say What You Want‘ and ‘All for Nothing‘ for an act that definetly stood-up to the high expectations.

From a scenographical point of view, the club did not disappoint with the beautiful LED screen and a great light and visual show, delivering an even better experience for the fans, up until the last track.

Talking about fans and party-goers, they were definitely a key ingredient in the success of the show. You could feel the passion and community spirit everywhere. From the front to the back and during the whole night, the energy was through the roof and the good vibes were in the air.

Get In Step delivers once again a state-of-the-art show, and Koven made a clear statement that the amazing Paris debut in September at Elektric Park was the norm, and only the start.

This year, Elektric Park was celebrating its 11th anniversary. This celebration comes with a 2 years delay after two canceled editions due to the ongoing covid situation. For this comeback, organizers went all-in and offered a two-day festival instead of the usual one-day event.

When you talk about doubling the duration, it goes with doubling the lineup, and the team delivered. With 4 stages, a broad genre spectrum of electronic music, everything was there to celebrate this 11th anniversary.

Yellow Stage

The yellow stage of Elektric Park was basically the main-stage during the whole weekend. It was the perfect spot to enjoy headliner acts such as Vintage Culture, Busy P B2B Molecule, Bob Sinclar, Kungs, Purple Disco Machine, The Bloody Beetroots, and the events boss and french icon Joachim Garaud.

From Pyro, flamethrowers, and confetti, organizers didn’t miss a chance to deliver an amazing show and make the main stage as beautiful as fans would wish it to be.

Red Stage

After seeing some great names on the yellow stage, you might want to go a bit harder. No worries because the Red stage had everything you would need for that. World-class acts were turning the little Parisian island into a major hardstyle hot spot for the weekend. From, Sefa, to Damien RK, Miss K8, to The Sickest Squad, these artists -along with the energy-filled crowd- made this Hardstyle stage a success.

The first day ended with a great B2B show by Dr. Peacock and Billx putting everyone to bed and ready for day 2.

Blue Stage

The blue stage had its say on the festival’s genre offer. Bass music and Drum’n’Bass were the main themes on this one. Fans were able to go full energy and headbang their way through the day with acts by Basstrick, Koos, and Aazar B2B Sikdope. After sunset, it was up to Drum’n’Bass to take it from here. The crowd got to dance to Black Sun Empire, for one of their rare appearances on the French scene.

The D’n’B legend Andy C was replaced last minute by Koven. With such a name to fill up for, the stakes were high for Koven, but the UK artist definitely got the job done, for one of the best shows of the weekend. For the closing, the secret guest was revealed to be Dirtyphonics B2B Funtcase with a set filled with D’n’B and Dubstep bangers.

On Day 2 The Red and Blue stages were replaced, letting a new Orange Stage take over with a Spy Trance lineup.

Black Stage

Even being one of the smallest, this stage was the techno go-to during the whole weekend. In addition, it was the label stage for Joachim Garraud’s underground label UndGrdMusic. He also performed a special “Back In Time” set with an amazing throwback vibe.

Back Stage

Attendants were also able to purchase a ‘Back-stage’ access with their tickets. This allowed them to access a back-stage area, with a dedicated stage. After the festival was over, the spot offered an after-party show where attendees could keep raving, chill, and maybe even bump into their favorite DJ.

Elektric Park 2021

To sum it up, and on top of what the stages had to offer, Elektric Park delivered an amazing production, a tight organization, and a great staff to make it all happen. Everything was there to make this 11th year and Elektric Park 2021 a success. Thus welcoming its festival-goers again after a two-year hiatus.

Two years of silence for the Parisian Island, which has decided to make up for it with two days instead of one. We and the party-goers absolutely loved the new format, and it seems like we already have a date for next year, the beginning of September 2022, for another 2-days edition. We’re already looking forward to it.

‘Scars’ Remixed

One of the most impactful and impressive trance albums of 2018 just got a fully refreshing twist. Anjunabeats mainstay Ilan Bluestone released his debut album Scars back in April featuring tracks ‘I Believe’, ‘Another Lover’, and ‘Will We Remain?’. Today, the full-length album received a monstrous facelift from some of the best in trance and progressive.

Creating a full-length album is no easy task. For someone like Ilan, he took on the challenge whole-heartedly. Allowing his creative production to shine through, iB released one of the most eclectic and diverse albums of 2018, receiving high praise from the likes of Above & Beyond, Armin van Buuren, and many more. Only a truly outstanding album would garner a full remix album, a true testament to something truly special.

The Remixes

From start to finish, each track received a unique remix that further grew the power of each song. What’s even more impressive is the wide array of remixers that took on the task of imprinting their own sound on each of Bluetone’s album tracks. You’ll hear remixes from Maor Levi, Cosmic Gate, PROFF, Spencer Brown, Rafael Frost, Shadowlark, Sunny Lax, Koven, Vintage & Morelli, and even Ilan himself. Here are some of my favorite remixes from the album.

‘Scars’ (Featuring Giuseppe De Luca) (Maor Levi Remix)

Holy cow is this remix massive. Significantly different from the original, Maor Levi turned this drum & bass track into a powerful club mix. The opening drop at one minute will make your jaw drop. Maor created a heart-pounding bassline with a classic uplifting melody. The difference between the original and Maor Levi’s remix is simply astounding.

‘Will We Remain?’ (Featuring El Waves) (Maor’s Deep Room Mix)

Welcome back to the list Maor Levi. One of Ilan’s best buds brought his A-Game for another remix as he turned one of Ilan’s biggest bangers into a soothing and calming tune. Maor completely diverts his sound to create a downtempo and gorgeous rendition of a high-energy original. You wouldn’t know whether this remix was composed on production software or a jazz orchestra; it’s seriously something to behold. Excellent work from Maor Levi.

‘I Believe’ (Featuring Giuseppe De Luca) (Vintage & Morelli Remix)

Quite possibly my favorite remix on the album, Vintage & Morelli (who’s only one person- fun fact) molded one of Bluestone’s biggest tracks into a deep and disco-infused ballad. The groovy bassline wraps you in from the start, with De Luca’s vocals bringing the entire song together. Your feet won’t stop moving from start to finish on this remix.

‘Cosmic Feeling’ (Featuring Giuseppe De Luca) (Ilan Bluestone Club Mix)

It wouldn’t be a remix album without the original maestro putting his own club spin on easily his most diverse-sounding track. Before you listen to Ilan’s club mix of ‘Cosmic Feeling’, do yourself a favor and listen to the original. The original sounds like something straight out of the 80’s, which is why this remix is so impressive. Bluestone uses pieces from the core sound of the original and keeps De Luca’s lovely vocals intact, but producers some of the biggest sounds on the remix album. Who would have ever thought ‘Cosmic Feeling’ would become a banger? Clearly Ilan did.

The Scars Remix Album is out now in full force. Whether you want club-ready remixes from Cosmic Gate or Rafeal Frost, or chiller remixes from PROFF and Koven, this remix album has something for everyone. Do yourself a favor and lose yourself in the sounds below.

Electronic duo Koven are back with their latest track ‘Never Have I Felt This‘ to close out the year. This release comes after their impressive Reality Reach EP that dished out five diverse tunes. The duo consists of producer Max Rowat and vocalist Katie ‘Koven’ Boyle. Their massive collection of quality releases are a testament to their impeccable ability to work together. If you have been following the duo for awhile, you already know this is going to be good.

The song starts off with some percussion and epic synths before Katie’s ethereal voice takes over. The build up is crisp and propels into a unique buzzing bass drop. Be sure to listen to the sound design during the breakdown because the production is silky smooth. Koven’s use of cinematic synths, plucking beats, and rising drums is ear candy. Give the song a listen below and enjoy!
