Insomniac currently leases the building, and the county has been working with the EDC promoter to turn it into a live music and special events venue, according to the agency’s staff report. The $10 million is set aside for a future property purchase and building rehabilitation, and it will be paid out once the board approves a formal agreement with Insomniac. Some nearby residents spoke against the plan at the meeting. At this point we don’t know exactly what’s planned but we expect to learn more soon.

A big year in Vegas

The vote follows a busy year for Insomniac in Clark County. In March, commissioners approved the first-ever World Party Parade, which rolled along the Las Vegas Strip on May 14, the night before EDC’s 30th anniversary edition. Days after the festival, Insomniac announced that EDC Las Vegas is expanding to two weekends in 2027, with EDC Dusk running May 14 to 16 and EDC Dawn running May 21 to 23.

Plans for the Liberace Avenue venue

An investment outline included in county records from May lays out the early plan. It describes a main warehouse floor for 18+ live music with a capacity of roughly 5,000, plus a separate 21+ upstairs lounge. It also lists larger outdoor events in the neighboring county-owned parking lot as a priority. The outline notes the layout is subject to change, and no opening date has been announced.

The next step is a formal agreement between Insomniac and the county, which the board has to approve before any of the $10 million is paid out. The venue doesn’t have a name or an opening date yet. In the meantime, EDC Las Vegas returns for its first two-weekend run with EDC Dusk on May 14, 2027.

The show will debut a new audiovisual setup built specifically for the occasion, with visuals that haven’t been shown at any previous Wax Motif performance. Born Daniel Chien in Australia and now based in Los Angeles, Wax Motif has built a career on blurring the lines between house music and mainstream R&B and hip-hop production. He co-produced Ty Dolla $ign’s TYCOON, an album that hit No. 1 in more than 80 countries within a day of release, and he’s worked behind the scenes with Kanye West, Timbaland, G-Eazy, and Tinashe. He also linked up with Matroda for the Waxtroda project, which sold out its debut show at Brooklyn Mirage.

This year has already been a heavy one for Wax Motif, capped by a set at EDC Las Vegas 2026 that mixed House of Wax II cuts with unreleased tracks and recent singles. The Grand Park show looks to build on that momentum with a bigger stage and a longer look at where his sound is headed next.

The settlement involves the three local partners who took over Club Space in 2016: Link Miami Rebels duo Davide Danese and Jose Gabriel Coloma Cano, and III Points co-founder David Sinopoli. Together, they formed Space Invaders, the company that operates Club Space.

Insomniac and the Link Miami Rebels parties released the following joint statement:

“The parties have amicably resolved their dispute. Insomniac will continue to operate Club Space alongside David Sinopoli and maintain its commitment to Factory Town. Davide Danese and Coloma Cano will continue to operate Jolene, along with David Sinopoli.  Davide Danese and Coloma Cano will also undertake new projects.”

Club Space and Factory Town are the two top electronic music venues in Miami, shaping the city’s dance music calendar throughout the year and playing critical roles during Miami Music Week and Art Basel.

Since opening in 2000, Club Space has built a global reputation for marathon parties on its Terrace. Its 24-hour liquor license allows weekend events to regularly stretch past sunrise and well into the following day. During Miami’s biggest event weeks, the club hosts a nearly nonstop run of parties featuring leading names across house and techno.

Factory Town has quickly built a similar presence on a much larger scale. The seven-acre outdoor venue in Hialeah operates more like a festival site than a traditional nightclub, hosting separate artists and events across multiple stages at the same time. Since opening in 2022, it has become one of Miami Music Week’s primary destinations. It also hosts major Art Basel programming and the annual Hocus Pocus Halloween festival.

The partnership with Insomniac began in 2019 when the company acquired a 51% stake in Space Invaders and an interest in the Club Space brand. According to Insomniac’s later lawsuit, its involvement helped increase Club Space’s revenue by approximately 700%.

That success eventually led the parties to work together on Factory Town. Insomniac claimed it committed more than $40 million toward the venue through lease obligations, improvements and event expenses.

The relationship began breaking down in 2024. Insomniac accused the local partners of demanding additional money and control over Factory Town. The operators disputed that account, arguing that Insomniac had pushed them out despite their role in developing the venue’s identity and programming.

The parties entered mediation in June 2025 and initially reached an agreement worth nearly $3 million, but the deal fell apart within weeks. Insomniac filed a lawsuit that August, alleging that the partners breached the agreement and continued presenting themselves as Factory Town’s operators.

The local partners filed a counterclaim the following month, accusing Insomniac of contractual and fiduciary violations. The parties eventually returned to negotiations, producing the settlement announced this month.

For Miami’s dance music community, the biggest takeaway is continuity. Club Space remains under familiar leadership; Insomniac remains committed to Factory Town and the venues central to Miami Music Week, Art Basel, and the city’s year-round electronic music scene can move forward without the dispute hanging over them.

The weekend of April 4-5, 2025 was one of the most memorable weekends in the history of the illustrious Cow Palace venue. The Cow Palace is one of the San Francisco Bay Area’s most historic sports and entertainment venues and that weekend hosted Dreamstate SF, the San Francisco edition of one of trance music’s world-famous festivals (even though the Cow Palace technically is in Daly City, albeit just a block away from San Francisco itself).

To emphasize the large magnitude of this event, Dreamstate is also the premier trance masterpiece of Insomniac Events. Some of the world’s best stars in the dance/electronic music industry came into full force for Dreamstate SF at the Cow Palace and the fans definitely enjoyed every second of the two-day extravaganza. There were plenty of great amenities that everyone got to experience over those two days and overall, the atmosphere inside the venue filled tons of unforgettable, mesmerizing emotions.

Entering Cow Palace to experience the wonders of Dreamstate SF

Upon entering the Cow Palace for Dreamstate SF, fans can feel the nostalgia of the venue as it displays historic sporting and entertainment events that have taken place there over the many decades. Furthermore, the event has two stages for fans to check out. One is “The Vision”, a smaller stage that’s located in a warehouse-like area of the Cow Palace where the music gives off underground rave vibes that are also blissful at the same time as the melodies flow effortlessly from the sets of the artists who perform there. The amazing artists who illuminated “The Vision” such as Ciaran McAuley, Giuseppe Ottaviani, Nifra, and Sean Tyas really packed some powrerful soundscapes in such a humble yet fantastic area of the venue.

Then, there is “The Dream”, the much bigger stage that is inside the main spherical area of the Cow Palace where the magic of Dreamstate SF enhances tenfold. The top talents who magnified “The Dream” include the likes of Cristoph, Pryda, Hannah Laing, Maddix, Markus Schulz, and Armin van Buuren. Each synth, kick, bassline, breakbeat, etc. that came out from the artists really set the wonderful atmosphere of Dreamstate SF going forward from the first beat to the last.

A state of dreams that became a spectacular reality during the weekend

Not just the music that excited the fans but also the great amenities that they got to enjoy also amplified the event experiences for all. After entering through security checkpoint and standing on the main entrance leading into “The Dream”, fans could turn left and walk towards a nice lounge area. In this area, the fans can put their personal belongings safely in lockers throughout the duration of their time in the venue, water stations to quench their thirsts after energetic moments on the dance floors, bars to turn up the excitement greatly with plenty of diverse drinks, and a chance for a photo op in front of the Dreamstate logo.

Additionally, fans who are VIP can also enjoy their own cool perks. At “The Vision” area, there is a VIP lounge where fans can obtain wonderful keepsakes (one of them being much-needed ear plugs), bathrooms where fans can enter without having to deal with long lines outside, and a bar that allows fans to enjoy refreshments while vibing to the rhythms of each artist’s tracks. Also, there are special VIP areas at “The Dream” as well where fans can have full, extensive views of the stage as they danced both nights away. Finally, both of the nights inside the Cow Palace were very memorable and for sure, it will allow fans who attended the event to want Dreamstate SF to come back for another year.
