The lineup delivers serious firepower with Charlotte de Witte making her debut Egyptian performance, Michael Bibi bringing his sound to the pyramids for the first time, and Adriatique returning to the location after their previous show drew nearly 10,000 attendees. The roster also includes Vintage Culture, Pete Tong, WhoMadeWho, and Enrico Sangiuliano, supported by dozens of regional and international artists.

Set against the desert backdrop of ancient civilization, Starlight aims to unite the global electronic music community in a setting shaped by thousands of years of history. The festival represents one of the strongest electronic lineups the region has seen to date.

Four-Day Festival Experience

The main festival nights will take place on October 9 and 10 near the pyramids, while opening and closing events will unfold across selected locations throughout Cairo. Across more than five festival stages and zones, Starlight will feature one of the world’s most advanced VR experiences, originally unveiled at Expo Dubai.

Following protocols for events in the area, Starlight will not be staged directly at the pyramids themselves. Instead, the ancient monuments will serve as a backdrop from a specially designated location developed in accordance with the site’s historical importance and protected status.

Dušan Kovačević, founder and CEO of EXIT Festival, emphasized the cultural significance of the venture. “It is a great honour to be invited to bring the premium festival concept near one of the grandest monuments in human history. EXIT has always been known for combining world-class entertainment with a strong social mission, which in this case will be dedicated to celebrating Egypt’s extraordinary cultural heritage to a global audience.“

The partnership reflects EXIT’s broader global expansion strategy. The festival has built its reputation over more than two decades in Europe, with its flagship event at Serbia’s Petrovaradin Fortress consistently ranking among the continent’s top festivals.

Rabih Mokbel, founder and CEO of Venture Lifestyle, highlighted the economic impact potential. “Working hand-in-hand with EXIT’s team, we expect Starlight to attract a significant number of international visitors and contribute tens of millions of dollars to Egypt’s tourism economy, while establishing a long-term platform for cultural exchange between Europe and the Middle East.“

Venture Lifestyle has established itself as a major player in Middle Eastern entertainment through its P+US platform, having previously produced Anyma’s Quantum Genesys at the Great Pyramids of Giza. The company specializes in large-scale cultural and live entertainment experiences across the region.

The official FSOE Instagram page attributes the discontinuation of the event solely to the promoter. “Circumstances beyond our control” has been primarily attributed to the cause of cancellation by the label. This is contrary to their intentions is what it intends to clarify. “FSOE was fully committed to proceeding with the event” as a noteworthy point to note.

User’s Lecture Of The Situation

People appear to be on FSOE’s side on this one. As a matter of example, one of the top comments on said Instagram post reads as follows: “It’s common knowledge that NSW Police charge tens of thousands of dollars more than their counterparts in other states to patrol events such as these. I was told that the organisers needed 5,000 attendees just to break even after the police fees for security and sniffer dogs, as well as the cost of medics, land tax and private ferries.“

They then follow with “The promoters could have done a better job in marketing the event, but when you have examples of a festival where the NSW police charged $67,000 for patrolling a 22,000 crowd, VIC police charging only $7,500 for a crowd of 30,000 and Queensland police $37,000 for a crowd of 20,000, it’s not unreasonable to suggest that the music scene in NSW is being unfairly targeted as a cash cow for police coffers“.

He’s taking away from artists associated with Armada and Anjunabeats, making sure to grab some of their best talents. In January, Standerwick (formerly Ian Standerwick) released his remix of Gareth Emery‘s ‘Take Everything’ featuring Emma Hewitt. With that notation, he just released ‘This Letter’ with Tensteps and NOHC on Armada.

Standerwick is a DJ and producer from Bristol, United Kingdom, with many releases on labels such as Armada, Garuda, Black Hole Recordings, and Aly & Fila‘s Future Sound of Egypt. His hard hitting tracks have earned him quite the name in trance over the last few years.

The track kicks off with a bumpy and vibrant bassline, aligned with vocal chops. As the intro subsides, the soft and warm vocals are prevalent, yet maintaining the dancey atmosphere. The track then smoothly transitions into the chorus with a drum fill. The track then takes a very uplifting turn with the added bright pads and plucks in tandem with the vocals. The melodic aspects shine throughout the track making it into an emotional, uplifting, and soothing song.

Aly & Fila Announce ‘Beyond the Lights’ World Tour

Aly & Fila are clearly global citizens of the world. Fresh off the release of their newest studio album, Aly & Fila have announced a world tour. The Egyptian duo released Beyond the Lights, their new studio album, a little over a week ago. They recently did their massive FSOE 500 show at the Egyptian Pyramids alongside Armin van Buuren. And now it seems they are ready to take the show, and the album, on the road.

The tour will stop at twenty different cities in nine different countries. Starting off with three shows in Australia, the trance maestros will then bounce around the west coast of the United States and then down to South America. The duo will also be hitting up Europe and even South Africa before finishing their tour back in Europe in the Czech Republic.
