‘Deadly Valentine’

The duo have a history of playing B2B at massive events like Drumcode, Loveland and Awakenings. This is their first collaborative standalone single (their ‘Midnight Magic’ was on Layton’s 2020 Drumcode LP).

“I was listening to Spotify and going through an indie dance rabbit hole. (…) I stumbled upon this track, was instantly hooked, and knew Bart was the right guy to collaborate with on this record.”

Layton Giordani

Bart stated that Layton sent him the vocal idea. Then, Skils turned it into an arrangement with a rolling groove. Finally, the track was updated several times and mixed with a new vocalist for release. ‘Deadly Valentine’: complex, steady percussion with insistent Techno beat gives a dark questioning edge to the high, sweet vocal, fast, echoing, often layered or harmonising with itself, singing the apparently romantic wedding ceremony lyrics in French & English. The track is both ethereal and edgy, with tons of groove and Trance-esque elements. Play it as a proposal, or an ironic reason not to make one – or just dance to it.

Bart Skils

Bart Skils, a Drumcode mainstay, has enjoyed a monumental year of his own. His ‘Bart Skils Remixed’ package dropped earlier in the year to widespread praise, featuring remixes of ‘Something More’ by Joris Voorn and ‘Shadowprint’ by Dok & Martin. Sibold’s interpretation of ‘Roll The Dice’ now joins this lineage, injecting the track with fresh energy while honoring the melodic essence that made it a fan favorite.

Layton Giordani

The New York native continues to ride the success wave from 2024. With releases like ‘Let’s Go Dancing’ and ‘PATT’, his sounds have exponentially increased his following and influence in the scene. Moreover, with his newfound style, he has released multiple successful hits on labels such as Drumcode and John Summit’s Experts Only. ‘Deadly Valentine’ follows Layton’s stunning hit ‘Act of God’ ft. Linney and Sarah de Warren. Up next, Giordani will be touring the Americas with stops in Vegas, Houston, Detroit, Cordoba, Ciudad de la Costa, and Toronto.

‘Sanctum’ EP

The title track ‘Sanctum’ kicks off with hard and heavy drums that will rattle warehouse walls as the searching synths add a futuristic feel next to twisted acid lines and the spell-bound vocals of the angelic Marion. Charlotte de Witte

Up next, Charlotte returns to Miami for the spooky festival Hocus Pocus, before circling back to LA for an all-day event for KnTxT. Charlotte will bring her signature Techno during NYE Weekend for the historical event at the Sphere in Las Vegas for Anyma and “End of Genesys”. Furthermore, she will join Belgian tastemaker Amelie Lens for a clash of titans for a three-day event in Gent.

More of House of Molly

Good friends Mel and Holly began this duo as a spontaneous idea in Ibiza. The idea evolved into the creative force that would become House of Molly.  A celebration of blackness, queerness, hedonism and glamour this dynamic duo is redefining the music scene on their own terms. Their fun and irreverent approach to music caught Nicole’s attention. Moreover, it lead to a deeper connection through the trio’s shared Nigerian heritage. ‘Slap Back’ marks the pair’s debut release, and the first of many collaborations in the works for House of Molly and Nicole Moudaber.

Soakin’ ‘Wet’

When you think Summer 2024 can’t get any better, TESTPILOT makes a victoruious return with this delicious release. The song has all the gritty textures that the alias is known for. Moreover, it has similar element’s to Kx5’s ‘Unobsidian’, which will make you act extremely feral. The spooky sounds embellishes you in tribal rhythms that will keep you dancing until your friends try to take you out of the afters, but you won’t let go of the groove.

The track that is over 8 minutes long comes as a surprise, giving that the TESTPILOT project started in 2013 and he hadn’t released a track as such since 2014. Could this be the start of a new era for Joel Zimmerman? His techno sets are rowdy, dark and fun, so we are really hoping that is the case. The song will appear on deadmau5 newest EP some ep coming up next Friday july 19.

TESTPILOT

While Celebrating 25 years of the amazing project that is deadmau5, with a tour and even an exhibit in Las Vegas’ AREA15, The Canadian Grammy-nominated DJ and producer Joel Zimmerman aka deadmau5 is one of EDM’s biggest names. With a snarky personality and music that resonates with a massive audience, it’s expected for the artists to adapt to the times and evolve within his sound.

With his alias, the artist is able to dabble into different sounds. First Hekate Showcase Ever

The announcement marks a milestone for The DJ’s Label, as this becomes their very first Hekate Showcase anywhere in world. After a fantastic 2023, this is amazing news as Sara’s popularity increases. Moreover, her high octane sets are ingrained into our brains. From Boiler Room, to Movement Detroit, Verknipt to Arc Music Festival in Chicago, she is leaving her mark in the Hard Techno Scene and the underground.

Premonitions

Now let’s try to guess which artists she is bringing over to The Caverns. We will expect nothing but twisted, violent beats. Veseli, Alt8, blk, Skoden, Rudosa, Don Woezik, Charlie Sparks, and Godtripper have graced the label in the last two years. We’re manifesting some local talent, including Austin’s Jenna Shaw and LA’s Selective Response. They have both been supportive acts for Landry during her US stops.

Soma

The track is weird in the best way possible. A slower bpm adds to the hypnotizing melodies, and it allows for a great build up into the drop. The analog groove provides a vision of an alternate reality, a retrofuturistic sound that takes you away into a different universe. The echoing stuttering vocals add great eerie value to the song, and We always love when a song has a slight dark tone to it.

From having and India Tour, to playing at Tomorrowland, Goom Gum is earning more and more acollades that are essential to their career. And their innovative sound is a claim to their future.

The hottest new track from Anjunabeats is out now! Enter legendary German duo Kyau & Albert, whose music has been a close part of Trance history for over a quarter of a century. ‘Velvet Morning‘, ‘Memory Lane‘, and ‘Mantis‘ with Genix, have all been defining tracks in their respective eras. Throughout their extensive career, though, they’ve rocked the use of signature elements, such as their percussion and their gated vocals. Once you get to know their sound, you know exactly when a track has been produced by them.

After quite the season with tracks like ‘Chimera‘, ‘Always‘, ‘Rising Hope‘, and a series of originals and remixes from their 25 Years series, they’ve recently brought all the dark yet melodic trance sound they just ace, and signed ‘Otherworld‘ to Anjuna.

Otherworld

Get ready for the darkness! The second this song drops it feels as though you’re warping at high speed through a tunnel. Rolling, quite white-tinted percussion fills the atmosphere through the second half of the drop, as melody elements come into play. The break falls and you’ll get to listen to their trademark gated vocal beds.

The pluck that serves as the main melody starts to carve its way into the front of the mix, but it can’t entirely do so before the second drop hits, as hard as the first one. This second drop, though, blends the darkness of the first bit with the melodies of the second, and the result is an absolute gem.

What ‘Otherworld’ became sounds truly out of this world. It’s a dark tune, really dark, but without resorting to the typical rumbling Techno kick: this track decided to go its own way about the matter. And for that, I have to give this song’s clever production a round of applause.

Alesso – Dark

Alesso may have accomplished one of his many dreams recently. He seems to be part of the movie ‘The Batman‘ soundtrack. As a matter of fact, the song called ‘Dark‘, written and produced by him, features in the movie’s credits. The Swedish superstar has since released the record on all streaming platforms.

Alesso has all but officially confirmed his implication in the blockbuster. In fact, he shared some Instagram stories on March 1 at a screening of the film, showing his production in the credits. Alesso’s involvement in ‘The Batman’ was rumored a few weeks back when the soundtrack list was posted on Twitter.

Right from the start, you notice that ‘Dark’ is way shorter than the usual record in dance music. On Spotify, the song lasts only a minute and seventeen seconds. However, it does not lack energy. The song has techno vibes with a necessarily dark tone to it. You can easily picture images from an action-type movie like ‘The Batman’ paired with Alesso’s latest record.

Alesso’s love for Bruce Wayne is no stranger than anyone. He publicly declared his preference for the Dark Knight among superheroes no more than two years ago, on his Twitter account. ‘The Batman’ released on March 4, so we will have to head to the theaters to appreciate the song in a movie set.
