Charlotte’s mix opens with very “ambient-minded” sounds and progresses into deeper, darker, thumping sounds. With her love for acid techno, she highlights new tunes from Alignment, Tawa Girl, and Jerome Baker that can be heard 20-minutes into the mix. Mid-way into the mix, Charlotte drops her unreleased track, “Patterns,” which is an ultimate treat for the ears. She mentions that this track may or may not be released in the future, and it’s surely worth waiting to hear. The show accelerates from an ambient opening to a progressively faster 130-140 bpm finish line. Witte notes that the last 3 tracks of the mix are her absolute favorites in acid techno at the moment. Prepare for “absolute floor destruction” she says.

Charlotte de Witte’s Residency show airs on the first Sunday night/Monday morning of every month.

Charlotte de Witte began her BBC Residency with a thumping show early Monday morning. The Belgian native’s inaugural set aired following Marcel Dettmann‘s, a truly fitting predecessor. It seems Charlotte enjoyed the monumental moment, soaking in the sun in Bali.

Charlotte’s meteoric climb to the top of EDM seems unlikely to slow down any time soon. As you might recall, last month she released a banging remix of Eats Everything’s ‘Space Raiders.’ Also, she is already confirmed for some of this summer’s hottest festivals including Tomorrowland and Drumcode Festival.

Charlotte joins a host of other BBC residents including Honey Dijon, Jayda G, Paul Woolford (aka Special Request) and Australian star HAAi. Nevertheless, we have a keen eye on her upcoming podcasts.

Check out her set below and let us know your thoughts.

Armin played a delicious two hours, featuring a heavy dose of classics in the mix. The set features iconic tunes from Paul van Dyk, Ferry Corsten, The Thrillseekers, Binary Finary, Mike P.U.S.H., and loads more. Many of the tracks played were saucy remixes from the likes of David Gravell, Jorn Van Deynhoven, Standerwick, and other heavy hitters.

AvB continues to be as busy and productive as ever as his residency in Ibiza runs through September 19. His festival anthem ‘Blah Blah Blah‘ hit over 50 million views on YouTube, and he just released a remix compilation for the track.

You can catch the legend at Imagine Festival in Atlanta as well as Ultra Japan and Ultra Mexico. Catch his full BBC Radio 1 residency special set below, and get ready for all the feels.

He announced that he has a new album coming and that it’s almost done. Unfortunately that’s all we have, but he closed out the episode with a track that is sure to be on it called “Stay”. Wild Youth was named to our Top 5 Albums of 2015 list, so we have high expectations for the follow up. As Steve said in closing, the next time you’ll hear from him, there will be a lot to hear. Check out the full episode below with the announcement at the very end.
