One of Miami Beach‘s top nightclubs, Treehouse, unexpectedly closes and, to what we know, had their — unsuspected — last parties over this past weekend. Last Thursday via their Instagram post, Treehouse announced they were going to have their closing party on August 4th. In the picture of their post, they had the words “Everything Must Go!” and one of the last deals for their fans was that if the fans can buy one bottle of tequila before midnight, they can get another bottle for free (and also buckets of beer for $45).

Treehouse had established its presence in Miami Beach over the past decade, especially after announcing its own Music Week. As to be expected, the news of the sudden closing shocked their fans. However, this is not the first time we’ve seen said situation: we can recall back in 2021 when owner and operator Michael Freundlich had put Treehouse on sale and anyone who wanted to express interest in purchasing the club, had to do it either in cash or Bitcoin.

Treehouse of Miami Beach hosted another closing party

According to an article from Miami New Times, soon after the spectacular closing party on August 4th, Treehouse then hosted another closing party on the next night. In another post via Instagram, Treehouse stated, “Make sure to witness this epic battle of New School vs. Old School on our closing night“. August 5th officially marked the last time Treehouse, which opened its doors in 2011, hosted an event.

On that night, avid clubgoers of Miami bid farewell to one of Miami Beach’s most-poppin’ nightclubs, which had gone through a short hiatus in 2017 and also survived the financial effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. The future still looks bright for the Miami nightlife industry, though, especially regarding which establishment will now take over the space that Treehouse has now vacated. Check out this article from Thrillist back in May that listed Treehouse as one of the must-visit nightclubs in Miami.
