Native Instruments Adds Beatport and BeatSoruce Link to Traktor

Music software supplier Native Instruments decided to add Beatport LINK and the Beatsource LINK streaming functionality to Traktor Pro 3, their Djing software. Amongst the main functionalities, LINK lets users stream Beatport’s entire catalog into DJ software. Obviously, it requires an internet connection, but it allows the DJ to have millions of songs at their fingertips.

Although this feature was already available in Rekordbox, VirtualDJ, Serato, Denon DJ hardware, and more, it’s finally also compatible with Traktor Pro 3. In addition, you can easily build your playlists inside Beatport’s store. Later you will be able to enjoy them right away in the software. Moreover, users will be able to enjoy curated playlists from the Beatport team and many artists.

More functionalities arrive to Traktor Pro as it also offers now Beatport LINK’s locker feature. This feature will help DJing offline as it allows you to store up to 100 tracks offline. Nevertheless, users can download tracks in real-time and they will be stored in cache before they play. This will avoid any outages or connection issues, which are some common problems that DJs face.

Native Instruments and Traktor Pro will allow users to add cue and loop points on every track loaded from Beatport or Beatsource. This functionality is very useful as these key points will remain a part of the track when loaded again. Although Traktor Pro 3 and these new compatibilities with Beatport and Beatsource LINK are now in public beta, it will be fully implemented soon. If you do not own a DJ controller, Beatport offers the possibility of using a browser-based DJ software.
