Production Group Behind Coachella Builds COVID-19 Triage Tents

Choura Events has officially transitioned from working on music festivals to building triage tents for the COVID-19 pandemic. Before the coronavirus outbreak took place, the production firm had plans to build the stages for Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and many other music events alike. However, due to the festival’s postponement and other rescheduled or canceled events, plans have changed. Therefore, they have now put their focus on finding ways to help those who are currently fighting the pandemic.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Ryan Choura, the chief executive of Choura Events, saw the need for certain services that his company is known to provide. Hospitals and local governments are in shortage of temporary facilities to test and treat coronavirus patients. Choura Events is currently working overtime to build tents and create facilities outside the Fountain Valley Regional Medical Center. This is one of the four facilities the company is helping to build.

The concert and event industry has been severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Music events such as Coachella and Bonnaroo have been postponed to the fall due to this unfortunate situation. Production firms such as Choura events have been impacted as well. However, it seems that this company has found its way to aid in the pandemic and use its service for good. Ultimately, they may be setting an example for other music festival production companies to get involved.
