On January 31, 2025, Igloofest Montreal transformed the Old Port into a pulsating winter wonderland, headlined by the legendary Steve Angello. Despite the biting cold, with temperatures dipping to -10°C, the energy was electric as fans gathered to witness a night of unforgettable performances.

Before Angello, the evening kicked off at 7:30 PM on the Sapporo Stage with a dynamic set by Laura Scavo, setting an energetic tone for the night. Following her, KILIMANJARO took over at 9:00 PM, delivering a performance that seamlessly blended deep basslines with melodic interludes, captivating the audience.

At 10:30 PM, the crowd’s anticipation peaked as Steve Angello, a founding member of the Swedish House Mafia, took the stage. Right from the first drop, he immediately had the audience in his grasp. His set was a masterful journey through progressive house, featuring both his classic hits and new tracks that showcased his evolving sound. The synergy between Angello and the crowd was palpable, each track building upon the last, creating waves of euphoria that rippled through the masses. The last 30 minutes of the set were giving chills to all attendees who has listened to the trio since the beginning. For Montrealers, this was a very unique chance to witness live some the greatest songs the EDM scene has ever see.

The viral marketing campaign has only grown in popularity since 2016, and Spotify Wrapped has become a staple in the cultural zeitgeist of the 20-teens and beyond. Other brands have even attempted to jump on the bandwagon, but have failed to come to close to the offerings Spotify Wrapped can provide.

When Will We See Spotify Wrapped for 2024?

While Spotify doesn’t ever announce the exact release date, we can look at previous years to get an idea of when to expect it in 2024. The date has varied slightly over the years, but has typically remained in the two week window of end of November/beginning of December. The last three years saw it land on a Wednesday, on either November 30 or December 1.

How Can Users Access Spotify Wrapped Early?

If you’re eager to get those results a little early this year, there are several third-party sites that track Spotify data and will do the work for you. Stats for Spotify provides ongoing lists of your top songs, artists, and genres over different time periods, like the last four weeks, six months, or your entire listening history. While it’s similar to Spotify Wrapped, it doesn’t have the same flashy presentation. However, it offers daily updates and is easy to access with your Spotify account. If you prioritize data over aesthetics, Stats for Spotify is a good choice.

If you’re willing to pay for a service to dig a little deeper into this data, Volt.fm or Stats.fm (formerly Spotistats) are two more options for you. Both of these sites will provide detailed breakdowns of your listening tastes.

The excitement continues into the second weekend, starting Thursday, January 23, with cloud rap icon Bladee immersing Igloofest in his ethereal vibes, joined by DOSS with her entrancing sounds and London’s COUCOU CHLOÉ opening the night with her unique flair. The following day, Friday, January 24, legendary duo Zeds Dead promise to break the ice with their powerful bass and addictive melodies, while Tape B and his clever blend of genres will add a touch of infectious energy to the evening. On Saturday, February 1, you won’t want to miss mythical duo Adriatique and new French idol Marten Lou who will be mixing deep and hypnotic rhythms, for an immersive melodic house music experience, accompanied by none other than Yulia Niko.

As the final weekend approaches, Turkish star Mahmut Orhan and Belgian producer Maxi Meraki will take the stage on Thursday, February 6, for a warm, festive night. Friday, February 7, the spotlight shines on Cloonee, who skillfully wanders through the most frenzied house repertoire, as does Brazilian Classmatic, also taking part. A New Skyline

Attendees took over Gloria Molina Grand Park in Downtown LA. The four-block venue received the iconic East and West Side stages that have become vital elements of the event. Moreover, the Art districts served as a place of discovery for beautiful sights, beautiful people, and gorgeous music. This year, there were more art installations, food options, and more bathroom stalls.

The production took a more rudimental approach this year, as the visuals were reduced and the vibes were increased. Each stage was packed with lights and pyros, seasoning each drop with thunderous heat. Best stage design award goes to East Stage, with huge panels that had amazing lighting patterns and kept the crowd going.

House

Day 1 had the best House-filled lineup. Some of the highlight sets of the weekend were Pawsa b2b Marco Carola, CamelPhat, Chris Lake, and LP Giobbi. Closing the festival we had Carl Cox with a playful and energetic hybrid set on the West Side.

Filthy, Delicious, Techno

Rowdy, dark, intense. That’s the only way I can explain how good the Techno lineup was in this year’s Skyline. From dark and twisted, to hard Techno. From melodic and hypnotic, to Acid and Schranz. The weekend showcased incredible acts. On Sunday, we got to experience Adiel‘s masterful vinyl mixing, which led to one of the hardest sets, by yours truly Nico Moreno. Honestly, that was a pretty crazy sunset. Indira Paganotto and Deborah De Luca followed up with great Psytechno. Lastly, we had Klangkuenstler with his crazy emblematic high BPM Schranz. I have to say the energy during the Techno takeover on Sunday was all we wanted for PLUR. The love for the music was there.

Final Thoughts

Although it is one of Insomniac’s smallest productions, Skyline packs a punch. The lineup did not disappoint, from more mainstream names to up-and-coming stars. There was definitely some thought into the layout of the venue as well as choosing cohesiveness for the day-to-day lineup. We hope Skyline continues to grow and hear from the feedback goers bring out each year to make it even better!

Obviously, the aftermovie is a phenomenal recap of the 3rd winter edition of the iconic dance festival. It takes people back to the magnificent tale written at the stunning ski resort of Alpe d’Huez at a dazzling altitude ranging from 2.000m all the way up to 3.330m. Tomorrowland introduced two brand-new stages, Youphoria and Frozen Lotus this year. Youphoria resided right in the heart of the ski resort. As for Frozen Lotus, attendees had to go into the mountains to see their favorite artists perform.

Festivalgoers were treated to legendary performances by more than 100 world-class artists from all genres in electronic music.
