Van Buuren and KI/KI join the line of incredible performers that took (II=I) to new heights. Past duos include Armin & Hardwell, Timmy Trumpet & W&W, and Nicky Romero & Afrojack.

Armin van Buuren B2B KI/KI (II=I)

Today, the special II=I (Two Is One) set went live, a unique AMF moment. In this event, two artists from different worlds join forces on stage. This year, it was Armin van Buuren b2b KI/KI, who also created this year’s AMF anthem ‘Put Your Bassline.’

The A State of Trance creator merged energies with the SLASH label lead for an unstoppable set. Furthermore, more sets will become available in the upcoming days.

About AMF

Coinciding every year with ADE, Amsterdam Music Festival is one of the biggest nights of the music week. Located in the Johan Cruijff Arena, the festival is widely known for bringing some of the biggest electronic artists at the time for a massive event. Moreover, the event selects a special duo of candidates. They perform together with the special Two is one set (II=I).

Armin van Buuren

The Trance legend van Buuren has achieved incredible mainstream success. This includes being voted the No. 1 DJ in the prestigious DJ Mag Top 100 poll five times, a record at the time (including four consecutive wins). This sustained success led to him being named an Officer in the Order of Oranje-Nassau by the Queen of the Netherlands in 2011. This recognized his impact on Dutch culture.

His most enduring legacy is arguably his weekly radio show, “A State of Trance.” Launched in 2001, ASOT has run for over a thousand episodes. It commands a global audience of over 40 million listeners across 84 countries, making it one of the most widely listened-to electronic music programs in the world. The show is the epicenter of the trance community, promoting both established and rising artists within the genre. The ASOT brand has also grown into massive global events and compilations.

KI/KI

Originally from Amsterdam, KI/KI built her career from the ground up. She started as a resident DJ at the queer stronghold Spielraum in 2018. She has since rapidly ascended to global prominence. Moreover, her impeccable selection, raw mixing style, and ability to craft long, immersive “5 Hours” sets bring a sense of fun and joy back to serious club music. In 2022, she established her own label, slash:. It focuses on unifying both overlooked classics and the work of emerging, like-minded producers. She was named a Spotify Global Equal Ambassador and made history. Furthermore, she became the first woman to win the Dutch Edisons Pop Award in her category.

Hosted by Tao Group Hospitality, Marquee Skydeck transforms the legendary outdoor observation deck into NYC’s highest summer nightclub. Surrounded by the city’s sprawling skyline, Heldens anchored the night with his signature fusion of future house, deep grooves, and techno-infused rhythms. Visuals hint at pyrotechnics and high-altitude effects creating an unforgettable immersive experience.

Heldens, often regarded as a pioneer of future house, seamlessly merged thunderous drops with smooth transitions—satisfying both nostalgic fans and newcomers. At The Edge, anticipation rose to a fever pitch as the sun dipped below Hudson Yards and the music surged.

This was not Heldens’s first NY highlight. His celebrated “Heldeep Radio 250” special and high-energy Electric Zoo performances cemented his reputation as a crowd commandant. Yet, the Marquee Skydeck outing took things even higher—literally and figuratively—blending euphoria and architectural spectacle. The Marquee Skydeck residency runs through September, featuring top-tier DJ acts—with Alan Salomon, Chris Lake, Benny Benassi, and more. Heldens’s fiery set set a sky-high standard for the summer season. With such momentum, the venue promises more unforgettable nights.

Are you a fan of Anjunadeep? Are you a fan of UV? Soundgarden? Univack? Well, this set may speak to you then. Paul Arcane is perhaps the most promising act from Chile to set foot on Deep and Organic grounds right now. With a long career that already includes releases on the highest labels out there, he was the man Anjuna needed to kick off their Open Air celebrations in Santiago.

I’m not kidding when I say Anjuna’s socials were flooded with requests from us all for him to be part of the lineup. And they listened, and delivered. And so did Paul. The author of tracks such as ‘Elven Dance’, ‘Vaporis’, and ‘City of the Clouds’, was the man tasked to take over the booth first, as more and more people rushed to the venue for the day’s worth of partying. Understandibly, many of us arrived early to see him from the start.

And what a ride it was. It’s a 2-hour voyage filled with everything we love about this corner of the Dance world: melodies, atmospheres, flying, percussion, and groove. The only way I can describe his set is a dynamic ride. My best friend Rama and I talked about this very topic a while ago: the thrill of a DJ playing like a rollercoaster, with ups and downs in energy, yet still always aiming up. It’s not monotonous nor all over the place. It’s just ideal. And Mr Arcane mastered the art of those rides.

Kick off your week in the best way possible with tracks such as Marsh’s ‘Sleep’, the gift that keeps on giving that is ‘Deep In My Soul’, Argentinian Sebastian Sellares’ ‘Garden Of Eden’, and many more tracks I won’t spoil for you. You have to watch it. Click the icon above, or this very link right here, and fly away, to my personal best set of the entire Anjunadeep Open Air Santiago gig.

Also see below a playlist of Paul Arcane’s best. You’ll hear more about this guy in a couple years, trust my words. Been following his journey for eight years, can’t imagine where he’ll be after the next eight.

To Above & Beyond fans and followers, it’s no news that their milestone show celebrating the 600th episode of their Group Therapy radioshow, ABGT600, happened last week. And, as they always do, the first set to be performed is their very own hourlong film of a deep set. That video is out now for the world to see.

This year, ABGT arrived in Mexico City for a two-show weekender which included sets from Kasablanca, Alex Sonata & TheRio, Qrion, DURANTE, and many more. And Above & Beyond’s classic Deep Set took place in one of the most beautiful landscapes the Mexican capital has to offer: Xochimilco.

Xochimilco, the last vestige of an extensive water transport network constructed by the Aztecs, offers a unique experience. Colourful, gondola-like boats ferry visitors through the canals, while food vendors, artisans, and mariachi bands float by, creating a lively atmosphere. This Deep Set had the trio sailing through these canals, accompanied by a number of boats apart from theirs, with many friends and Anjunfamily HQ members. It’s beautiful.

The Set

Their hourlong trip offers an insight into the future of Anjunadeep, and the softest bits of Anjunabeats too. The boys played everything from a new Tim Green respray of their 2019 Flow State record ‘Homecoming’, Marsh and Volen Sentir’s new collaboration ‘Ascension’ — which just came out today —, PROFF’s incredible ‘Love On A Real Train’ retouch, and even a reimagination of the Orbital classic ‘Halcyon On and On’.

Watch the set below, or head over here. Be sure to WATCH it, not only listen to it. Soak in the full experience. Do it for me.

It took a while, a bit of hype, an amount of FOMO I’m ashamed to admit, but at last, here we are. You might be familiar with the news that Above & Beyond debuted their first-ever Peak-Time Deep set at a festival a few weeks ago in London. Well, now their historic set at Finsbury Park, where Anjunadeep Open Air London took place, is out on YouTube, in full length.

Of course, this is far from being Above & Beyond’s first-ever Deep Set, as it’s become a tradition by now that they themselves open their milestone ABGT gigs with an hourlong deep set. But that’s in the place of warmer-ups. Here, in contrast, the earlier acts warmed up the room for them, and the A&B boys, in this case Jono and Tony, truly delivered.

The Deep Set

Of course, the set couldn’t be quite so deep, in first place because the boys closed the night, but also because, well, it’s A&B, so they really experimented walking down the seam between Deep and Progressive, and Progressive Trance even. The set itself is a combination of Anjunadeep’s greatest, and their own productions in slower BPMs.

With that I mean to say, you can find tracks such as ANUQRAM’s remix of ‘Crazy Love’, both of their collabs with PROFF aka the recent Palermo / Fractals EP, iconic tracks such as Nox Vahn‘s ‘Brainwasher‘ and Joseph Ray‘s ‘Room 1.5‘, Yotto‘s legendary-by-now ‘Counting Down The Days‘ remix, and some special unreleased gems, such as Marsh‘s take on ‘Sun In Your Eyes‘, and a very, VERY special take on A&B’s Tranquility Base anthem, ‘Razorfish‘, courtesy of rising star Yeadon.

Watch the video in full below. And if you dare spoil yourself, have a peek at the tracklist below. Happy listening!

1. PROFF – Love On A Real Train (Tangerine Dream Cover)
2. Durante feat. HANA – Hot Night (Khen Remix)

A Reunion Five Years in the Making

After half a decade apart from Burning Man, RÜFÜS DU SOL reunited for a special moment at this year’s event. Their excitement to be back at the Burn was palpable, stating, “We won’t wait so long to return”. The connection between the band, the festival, and the crowd was immediate and intense. Whether you were there or not, it’s clear this set captured something magical, something that made their reunion with the desert feel destined.

The Power of the Mayan Warrior

The Mayan Warrior is no ordinary stage. It’s an awe-inspiring art car that brings together sound, light, and creativity in a way few other platforms can. Performing from this vehicle added another layer of mysticism to RÜFÜS DU SOL’s set. They described the energy as something beyond anything they’d ever experienced before. The desert, the people, and the music came together in a perfect symphony of emotions. It was clear that the energy of the Mayan Warrior wasn’t just felt, it was amplified.

Capturing the Energy in a DJ Set

Thankfully for those who couldn’t make it to Burning Man, the recording of this set is available. RÜFÜS DU SOL hopes that it captures some of that vibrant, electric energy they felt performing. Furthermore, every beat, every transition was crafted to bring listeners back to that moment on the Playa, surrounded by the lights of the Mayan Warrior and the spirit of the Burn.

In conclusion, this DJ set wasn’t just another show for RÜFÜS DU SOL; it was a deeply personal, spiritual experience. Their gratitude to the Mayan Warrior team and the dancers who made this moment unforgettable is evident, and they can’t wait to return.

One of the standout moments of Garrix’s set at Sziget 2024 was the debut of his new single, ‘Smile‘. The track, with its uplifting melodies and feel-good lyrics, had the crowd beaming with excitement. The track quickly became a fan favorite, once again showcasing Garrix’s talent for blending catchy hooks with dancefloor-ready rhythms. As the music pulsated through the festival grounds, the energy was palpable, creating a sense of unity among the audience as they danced and sang along to the infectious beats.

But the magic didn’t stop there. Garrix surprised the Sziget Festival audience by dropping twelve unreleased tracks during his set, keeping them on their toes and eager for more. The crowd’s energy was electric, their enthusiasm infectious as they reveled in the unique experience of hearing new music for the first time. However, there was a moment of tension when a power cut interrupted the performance. Despite the temporary setback, Garrix’s professionalism and the audience’s unwavering support ensured that the show went on seamlessly.

After the main show, Sziget Festival 2024 wasn’t over yet for Garrix. Garrix’s record label imprint STMPD RCRDS hosted one of the biggest stages at Sziget throughout the night.

Garrix played another energetic set as the surprise guest and unstoppable as ever stayed on for a B2B with DubVision, after which other longtime collaborators such as Mesto, Blinders and Justin Mylo, as well as upcoming talent from the label such as Eleganto, Andrew Mathers, Merow, Moksi and NUZB took the stage. All in all a good preparation for STMPD RCRDS 2024 Label night at AFAS during ADE.

As the minutes ticked by, the energy in the crowd reached a fever pitch. Fans from all corners of the festival grounds flocked to the main stage, eager to witness Eric Prydz in action. The stage was set, the lights dimmed, and then, in a burst of energy, Prydz took the stage. The crowd erupted into cheers as the first beats of his set filled the night sky. It was a moment of pure euphoria, a collective experience that brought everyone together in a shared love for music.

And the best part is? It was all live-streamed for the whole world to see.

The Visual Spectacle

One of the most captivating aspects of Eric Prydz’s performance at Creamfields was the visual spectacle that accompanied his music. As the LED screens came to life, displaying a kaleidoscope of colors and patterns that danced in time with the music, it was as if we had stepped into a futuristic dreamscape. The hypnotic visuals added another layer of depth to the music, enhancing the overall experience and drawing us further into Eric Prydz’s sonic world.

From mesmerizing geometric patterns to ethereal landscapes, the visuals were a feast for the eyes, perfectly complementing the auditory journey that Eric Prydz was guiding us through. At times, it felt as though we had been transported to another dimension, where music and light intertwined to create a mesmerizing symphony of sight and sound. Each visual element was carefully curated to evoke a specific emotion or response, further immersing us in the magical universe that Eric Prydz had created.

As the night wore on and the music reached its crescendo, the visuals became more intense, pulsating with the same energy that coursed through the crowd. It was a sensory overload in the best possible way, overwhelming our senses and igniting a fire within our souls. Eric Prydz was not just performing; he was crafting an otherworldly experience that transcended the boundaries of traditional music festivals.

The Legacy of Creamfields

Creamfields has long been hailed as a mecca for Electronic music fans around the world. Since its inception, the festival has played host to some of the biggest names in the industry, pushing the boundaries of what live music can be. From groundbreaking production to immersive experiences, Creamfields has always been at the forefront of innovation in the Dance scene.

Eric Prydz’s performance at Creamfields in 2024 only added to the festival’s storied legacy. His set will be remembered as a defining moment in the history of Dance music, a testament to the power of live performance and the ability of music to bring people together. As the last notes faded into the night and the crowd slowly dispersed, the echoes of Prydz’s set lingered in the air, a reminder of the magic that can happen when music and community come together.

So, if you ever have the chance to watch Eric Prydz at Creamfields, don’t hesitate. It’s an experience that transcends words, a moment that will stay with you long after the music stops. Because in the end, it’s not just about the music – it’s about the connection, the unity, and the sheer joy of being alive in that moment. And that, my friends, is something truly special.

This was, without a doubt, one of the highlights of the entire Tomorrowland 2024 festival. Weeks ahead of time, Dance music icon Hardwell ran a poll on his social media channels, letting fans and followers know he would be playing not only at the Mainstage but also had a slot on the Freedom Stage, in which he would play a different set, given the name of the booth.

Among the options, the clear winner was the Throwback EDM Set, which promised to relive all those golden classics we loved, danced to, sang our lungs out to, and even cried to, around ten full years ago. And so he got to work with it, unearthing the best mashups and tracks from yesteryear. And boy, was it a beautiful set.

Hardwell’s Throwback EDM Set @ Tomorrowland

We promise you, it was gemstone after gemstone, and singalong after singalong. Our only complaint is that it was only an hour long.

But those 60 minutes were an ABSOLUTE HIGH for everyone, both physical attendees, Hardwell himself, and even those who were tuning in to the livestream from around the world. Robbert’s set was a walk down memory lane, from the get-go, with his Tomorrowland 2015 intro. Some of the tracks that were played include Showtek and Justin Prime’s ‘Cannonball‘, Krewella’s ‘Alive‘, Armin van Buuren’s ‘Ping Pong‘, the mythical unofficial golden EDM anthem ‘Mammoth‘, and many, many more.

Check the full tracklist via 1001Tracklists, or simply play the video and enjoy jumping into this beautiful hole, completely blindfolded. Do us a favour and note down the amount of goosebumps you might get. It was pure fan service, although seeing Hardwell smile like he hadn’t in years makes it 100 times better.

Have a look at this! All the way from Turin, Italy, this may become the perfect soundtrack to kick off the week. Dance icon Tiësto played an hour-and-a-half set over there, for the annual festival that has turned into one of the boot-shaped country’s most awaited gatherings, Kappa FuturFestival.

On the hours that succeeded the upload of the set — which can be replayed in its entirety and in up to 4K resolution — people all over the internet expressed their awe and openly shared how much they liked the journey Tiësto drew this time. In particular, because he’s seen having a longer slot to express himself, and going down a memory lane kind of route.

Some Of The Gems Played

Among the long tracklist, we spotted some true gems, such as Tijs’ very own ‘Lethal Industry‘, Departmento’s Progressive Trance revamp of ‘Rhythm Is A Dancer‘, Rui Da Silva’s timeless ‘Touch Me‘, Wippenberg’s ‘Pong‘, and even Hardwell’s hit ‘Spaceman‘ and a defining track of the pre-2010s era of Dance music, ‘Strobe‘ by deadmau5.

Without a doubt, this is one set you cannot miss, and even if you used to be a diehard fan of Tiësto and fell out of love when he changed genres, this one has some gifts for you. Give it a try. It makes us wonder what this man can achieve when in the right mindset, which, in this case, was borderline marvellous.
