Arc After Dark Lineup

The city breathes House and Techno for five days from August 28 to September 1. Venues include Radius and Cermak Hall, Metro and Smartbar, Serum, Outset, Smoke and Mirrors, Spybar, Concord Music Hall, and Masada. This year, we get boat parties as well at the Anita Dee II. Moreover, this year we will have an official Arc Brunch on Saturday with Jerro as the headliner. And as always, the closing parties on Monday are meant for the true fans that still have plenty left in their tank.

Thursday

The Arc pre-party has been a staple of the weekend for the last few years. This time, the Arc turnt it up a notch while having not one, but five different pre-parties. Artists include Pryda, Cristoph, Eats Everything b2b Mike Dunn, Ghost Theory, Kettama, and Pablo Fierro.

Friday

The weekend begins with soaring beats and pulsating melodies, with a mix of newcomers and Arc veterans. Amelie Lens will join Nicole Moudaber at Radius, while DJ Tennis and Kryptogram unleash their sounds at Smartbar. Moreover, Book Club’s Tinzo + Jojo, Hot Since 82, Interplanetary Criminal, and Malugi all have their respective afters.

Saturday

Saturday will come full throttle with afterparties hosted by Fisher, Richie Hawtin, Riordan, Adam Beyer, Layton Giordani, Boys Noize, Claude Vonstroke, VTSS, and Chloe Caillet. Special mention to vinyl Techno DJ Hector Oaks, one of this year’s wildcards and After Dark exclusive.

Sunday

Day three keeps up the pace with some of the biggest names on the Lineup. On this evening, John Summit, Max Styler, and Ayybo will all be at the mega warehouse Radius. Then, Luciano brings out Ricardo Villalobos at Cermak Hall. Nic Fanciulli takes over Concord Music Hall while Ki/Ki delights us with her acid bounces at Serum. For the first time, Arc After Dark will host its very own Drum and Bass exclusive afterparty with Subfocus.

Finally, Alignment will set Outset on fire, alongside another wildcard of the year, Jenna Shaw, who has been steadily playing at major festivals in the United States, including EDSEA, Electric Forest, and EDCLV.

Ibiza’s beloved DJ collective, Melon Bomb, is reaching a new summit this year, with the launch of their very own imprint, Melon Bomb Records. The new label is set to officially drop on May 30th, coinciding with the group’s 10th anniversary to the day, marking a decade spent cultivating some of the island’s most iconic dancefloors.

The inaugural release on Melon Bomb Records will be a two-track EP, whose A-side is appropriately titled ‘Sunshine‘, and it also happens to be the collective’s debut single. The track serves as a heartfelt tribute to the White Isle’s inviting weather, warmth and vibe. Meanwhile, the B-side, ‘Underground‘, is meant to resemble the collective’s late-night vibe.

This release is particularly timely, since it’s one of the first events the Isle is having this year, just after the International Music Summit, and ahead of the summer season. On a more personal note, ‘Sunshine’ is pure bliss, even though both releases are great, the A-side is just so radiant and full of joy, I’m loving it.

In addition to the label launch, Melon Bomb is embarking on a fresh series of residencies for 2025. They’re making a welcome return to their spiritual home at Pikes and are set to kick things off with a highly anticipated set at the Hï Ibiza opening party.

Radiate EP

Deep and Raw, the title track ‘Radiate’ starts the EP with intensity and sweetness. The mystical vocals echo on the bassline through the dark and cosmic growls. However, the more ethereal and lighter harmonies give the heavy accents of the track the perfect balance. It truly feels like a journey where one can find light and darkness, peace and chaos, all within a five-minute track.

‘New Day’ completes the EP with a bouncy bassline and a groovy beat. Although the vocals have a more serious and eerie tone, the track remains consistent with a melodic undertone and mantra-like lyrics. The string arrangements add a beautiful buildup to the track, which progresses into pounding kicks. The acid elements add the finishing main touches to the track.

All in all, the EP is a gorgeous yet intense ride. Both tracks work in synergy to take the listeners on a journey where you can face the darkness and the light within. The EP has a specific slow-burn effect to it, having build-ups that last the entire track. However, one will dance the entire length of it, as neither tracks have any pauses or drops, just powerful grooves.

We chatted with “Psymama” herself after a long and hot day, where she debuted her high-speed and powerful melodies at the Yuma Tent. Shortly after, the ARTCORE label head joined HEKATE’s founder, Sara Landry, and EXHALE’s label lead, Amelie Lens, to make history during a surprise closing b2b2b at the DoLab stage during Weekend 1.

EDMTunes: What was the preparation like for this set?

Indira: I didn’t really change anything; no matter where I play, I always keep the preparation and vibe the same. I think it’s important to keep my style true to what I love.

EDMTunes: Is it intimidating to bring your sound to a show you’re playing at for the first time?

Indira: I didn’t feel intimidated, as I play a lot of shows in the US, and we have just had another two big ARTCORE showcases in New York and Miami, so I know we have people here that love the sound. But it’s nice to play somewhere new, as you never know who will end up discovering you for the first time.

EDMTunes: Do you prepare differently for a festival set vs an ARTCORE showcase? 

Indira: As we take ARTCORE to festivals, it applies to whether we are playing a club or a festival. I always play a lot of ARTCORE tracks in all of my sets, so they work for any event. People know the sound of the label and therefore, I want them to be excited to hear the sound they support.

EDMTunes: Can we expect an official release for that Sara Landry ft. LEGZDINA ‘Pressure’ remix?

Indira: Yes, you can! The remix will be out in May, but we have yet to announce the date, so everyone needs to keep an eye on socials for that.

Indira: WOW! What a moment for each of us, and also Coachella. It was amazing being part of an all-female b2b2b. I think that we really brought something new, exciting and full of energy for everyone to close out their Saturday during weekend 1. The crowd was with us the whole way, I loved it.

EDMTunes Are you ready for your summer residency at Hi-Ibiza?

Indira: Yes! We have come so much around this residency this summer, it’s been a very big but exciting project. What we are bringing to the club and the island is new, as my goal is to make the experience of going to a club opulent and sexy, rather than dark and sweaty. I think we will achieve this, having seen the booth and room designs. I can’t wait for everyone to see it on the 4th of July when we open.
