“Listening to music together for hours on end is such a healthy relationship building tool and it manifested a sonic foundation and friendship from which Tritonal was to blossom. We would sit side by side in chairs for 8-10 hours a day and write track after track after track – each one offering a bit more perspective on how to write and produce a good song. That was 16 years ago now and unequivocally we can say that we’ve been able to write 1 or 2 decent records along the way. ha!“

American music duo, Tritonal, consisting of DJs and producers, Chad Cisneros and David Reed, has finally shaded light on the 8th release from their forthcoming album, Coalesce, entitled ‘Something Beautiful‘. The track was put together with assistance from the talented American vocalist Eric Lumiere. Released on Enhanced Recordings, Tritonal’s own label, just a while ago it included not only the original track but also a few remixes.

The Finnish trance duo Super8 and Tab did a great job by remixing the track ‘Something Beautiful’. They genuinely took advantage of the techniques they have learned from their experiences to elevate the track and enable it to feed the soul. Astrix

Berth 46 debuted Insomniac’s Day Trip Festival last year, and this year it’s adding new events to its roster. So who is playing this summer? All ranges of trance will be here. From the psytrance depths of Astrix, Infected Mushroom to the darker sides with Sander Van Doorn’s Purple Haze. Craig Connelly, David Forbes, Bryan Kearney, Guiseppe Ottaviani, Ilan Bluestone, John O’Callaghan return to Insomniac. Maor Levi represents some Anjunabeat soundscapes while Paul Van Dyk secures the melodic. Old and new artists to Dreamstate will be here, so come down to the docks for the trance pre-party before the fall.

Not only is she embarking on her first headlining tour, she has also just recently partnered with Next Step Management. The multi-genre management company houses others such as ARMNHMR, MitiS, Rico & Miella, and SOUNDR. This is a huge move for Haliene – not only are we going to continue to see her name accompanying other artists but now we are going to see her showcasing her talents even more. Kelly deserves it. It gave multitudes of fans that couldn’t attend the event the chance to hear their favorite trance artist live from wherever they were. The British DJ was ecstatic about the entire production he and his team put together.

“One of the best nights of my life, I’m so damn happy I get to share it with all of you,” Emery posted on Twitter.

At about 19:30 minutes into the set, Emery mixes in his melodic ‘Mezzanine‘ track. That moment is when time seems to freeze for the whole crowd while they take off on a trance journey.

As the performance rolls on, the mood intensifies with every beat. The production becomes more and more mesmerizing, bringing everyone to a state of euphoria.

Emery’s stream featured multiple different camera views, including drone footage at the intro. Pyrotechnics and fog machines were also used throughout the set, which intensified the experience.

Coming to the 1:22:45 minute, you’ll hear a roar as his ‘Concrete Angel‘ (Darren Styles & Chris Unknown Remix) track starts. The fans never let their energy fade up until the final second of the performance.

The festival will take place at the popular Brooklyn Mirage on July 30. Emery will be joined by fellow trance household names Andrew Rayel, Cosmic Gate and Tritonal. It also features one of the defining voices of trance, HALIENE, and A State of Trance co-host Ruben de Ronde.

“Not only do we have an insane lineup,” Emery wrote on Facebook on Friday, “But all of us will be playing two sets: outdoors on the open air main stage where we’ll have crazy production under the New York sky, AND an exclusive underground set in the second room.”

‘The Deeper Side’

Trance is beloved by fans for feel-good, hands-in-the-air tunes. But Emery is setting the stage for artists to show off their versatility.

“All of our guests very much enjoy the deeper side of dance music, and we’re all buzzing to get to showcase the other side of our sound for you,” Emery wrote.

Emery’s last show at the Brooklyn Mirage was sold out and this will be his reopening show in the New York City. He played close to the city earlier this month, at BarCode in Elizabeth, New Jersey, as part of his lockdown closing parties tour. Emery has put on a host of creative events in the past including his Laserface show and METROPOLIS should be no exception.

Pre-registration for METROPOLIS is already open and available here and tickets go on sale on Wednesday.

METROPOLIS is the newest trance festival. It remains to be seen if it will become a mainstay like A State of Trance and Dreamstate.

There is certainly a wide variety of music here. But it looks like it’s going to be fun. This will be a momentous event as it canceled its 2020 event that was supposed to take place at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Now, they’re taking over the home of the Broncos. With no capacity limits, distancing requirements, or other restrictions according to city officials, we’re excited to see how this event pans out.

Nicknamed Mile High, the venus is 5,280 feet high. The stadium can hold up to 76,000 people.

Back in January 2021, Tritonal announced that they completed a “one big cohesive ethereal & meditative piece of music”. They even mentioned that it was one single Logic Pro project file with 417 channels. According to a press release, they created the piece by including superlative production techniques. The goal was to cultivate a “meditative musical experience far from the norm”. For example, they managed to seamlessly move around the circle of fifths while simultaneously automating tempo and meter changes. We are no experts in meditation music, but the combination of smooth keys and melodic strings along with nature-inspired ambiance sounds is pretty relaxing.

Moreover, Tritonal’s long-time friend Nick Sibicky, Professor of Music Production at Edmonds College, worked closely with the group on the album. The focus was to bring the dimensions of orchestral composition to another level. Even though Reverence consists of 14 individual tracks, it can be listened to like a single piece of hour-long music.

The duo said about Reverence that it was:

“The first album we’ve ever conceived of as a book or a unified story with one theme perpetually reiterating itself in a variety of ways.”
