The ‘Alone‘ creator also mentioned that after billions of streams with Pop music and jumping out of his comfort zone, he’s ready for a sense of comfort within EDM.

Nonetheless, Marshmello has collected many accolades within the Dance community, including collaborations with Timmy Trumpet, Sudden Death, Subtronics, and Flux Pavillion. The Philadelphia native is wasting no time with his return, as he joins Sudden Death on the US MelloDeath Tour this coming april. We are excited for the producer to get back into his creative flow within his realm of sounds, and astonish the community even further.

DJ Snake Teams Up With Selena Gomez For New Hit ‘Selfish Love’

This man is a banger-making machine. He uses all the sounds available to him and turns them into magic. House, dubstep, Latin rhythms, middle eastern ones. He’s got all the formulas down.

In all seriousness, whether you like DJ Snake or not, you can’t deny the man’s a game-changer. His sound is unique, and his fusions are really something else. I might be a little biased. However, the man continues piling one successful track after another. He’s managed to create something few can do.

After the success his last collab with Selena Gomez had, we knew a part 2 would most likely happen. And now it’s here. That saxophone breakdown is amazing. He’s managed to leave a huge footprint on the mainstream EDM world, and with his own original sound.

Finally, stream DJ Snake’s new track featuring Selena Gomez, ‘Selfish Love’, out now below! Let us know what you think of the French DJ’s latest hit!

After teasing his new single “Selfish Love“ with renowned singer, Selena Gomez, the dance music icon posted a now-deleted tweet about his positive result. However, since the announcement, there haven’t been any updates on his recovery.

France is currently seeing a plateau of COVID cases since the pandemic’s initial start in the beginning of 2020. The country currently sees about 20,000 cases every 7 days since January 13. VOA News reports that the French government said the COVID-19 situation is “deteriorating” in several parts of France.

The country continues to seek ways of preventing another lockdown. The government is considering additional restrictions to prevent an increase in cases.

We wish DJ Snake a swift recovery in the coming weeks! Stay tuned for the release of his new single “Selfish Love.”

There is no denying ‘Taki Taki’ was one of the biggest songs after coming out. Snake took some of the biggest players in today’s most famous genres and brought them together for a dancefloor belter. Now, he has what will for sure be the next big hit coming. This time, he’s joined by none other than Selena Gomez, one of the collaborators who appear in ‘Taki Taki’. Snake announced the collab through a video in which he appears to text Selena after receiving the award for ‘Taki Taki’ going 4X Platinum. They both agree, it’s time for us to get a second part to such a huge hit.

Selena X DJ Snake Pt. 2

Unfortunately, this video contained no preview regarding the new track. However, Snake knows how to keep fans in the loop. Today, he posted a short video using the same pixel art used in ‘Taki Taki’ to give let us know the song’s title. DJ Snake and Selena Gomez’s new collab will be called ‘Selfish Love’

We don’t know how do Selena and DJ Snake’s song will sound. However, we can make some conjectures. Selena’s saxophone emoji might give us some info regarding some sounds the song will have. Certainly, the song looks as if it aimed to be the sequel of their last hit. I might not be such a big fan of reggaeton, but I can deny DJ Snake makes it way better. Selfish Love will be out on March 4. However, there’s a chance we might get a peek before the final release. A new banger is certainly coming. Are you excited about DJ Snake’s new track?

On September 9, the DJ who took tropical house into the spotlight reached this significant milestone. After 3 years, it’s his first song to surpass 1 billion streams. Kygo’s career continues to grow as one of the most successful ones by a musician inside dance music. Moreover, he might be one of the most talented musicians currently in the industry.

Kygo continues proving he’s unique. Remixes, redos, original tracks, and collaborations have done nothing but show how amazing and diverse the Norwegian DJ’s talent is. While this might not be the first time the DJ enters the 1 billion stream club, it is the first time he does it directly through his own song. Previously, the achievement came as an indirect collaborator. In addition, Selena Gomez is no stranger to it considering ‘Taki Taki’ with DJ Snake.

We want to congratulate Kygo on his achievement. Certainly, the first of many more to come!

The slinky bilingual track has all the elements for success, with a huge collab list of Cardi B, Selena Gomez, and Ozuna. ‘Taki Taki’ has been rocking charts worldwide since 2018. In addition, the official video reached 1 billion views on Youtube back in February 2019, only 4 months after its release.

This is the third time the French DJ has reached over a billion plays on his tracks. ‘Lean On’, one of his biggest collaborations with Major Lazer was his first track to reach that milestone. But before it did, it became Spotify’s most played track of all time, only eight months after release in March 2015. Today, ‘Lean On’ is the platform’s 18th most streamed track of all time, sitting at 1.359 billion Spotify plays.

DJ Snake hit the 1 billion mark once again in October 2018 with his collaboration with Justin Bieber, ‘Let Me Love You’, making the French DJ the fifth artist to ever hit the billion stream mark twice.

With ‘Taki Taki’, DJ Snake joins the very exclusive list of artists with 3 tracks having more than 1 Billion plays. The list includes:

• The Chainsmokers (‘Closer’, ‘Something Just Like This’, ‘Don’t Let Me Down’)
• Drake (‘One Dance’, ‘God’s Plan’, ‘In My Feelings’)
• Imagine Dragons (‘Believer’, ‘Thunder’, ‘Radioactive’)

In addition, Ed Sheeran, Justin Bieber, Post Malone, and The Weeknd all have more than three tracks with a billion plays each.

The First Half

We knew it would be hard to follow up his debut album ‘Encore,’ but these 17-tracks may just be better. It begins with ‘Butterfly Effect,’ a moving track that sends your ears fluttering. A Drum and synth pattern drop makes us wanting more. Right after that is a dubstep collab ‘Quiet Storm’ featuring Zomboy. An ironic song, as it is not that silent, that quickly builds up to the thunderous drop.

The next three tracks are more in the chill category. Future Bass ‘When The Lights Go Down’ takes us on a vocal journey. Many lights may be dimmed when this one rocks the speakers. ‘Recognize’ provides us with a serene drop that is perfect for any summer night. A collaboration with Zhu, ‘No More’, sends us into the world of dark house and funky beats. We look forward to hearing this one live.

Song #6, ‘Made in France,’ picks up the pace of the album once again. A collab with Pardon My French producers Tchami, Malaa, and Mercer. ‘Enzo’ is the first hip-hop track of the album. With vocals from Sheck Wes, Offset, 21 Savage, and Gucci Mane, this one has already shot up the charts. ‘Smile’ with Bryson Tiller is another hip-hop track and halfway through the album, we can’t believe this has all been produced by the same guy.

The Splendid Second Half

The second half of the album is filled with tracks we have heard before. It begins with ‘Try Me,’ featuring Plastic Toy. This awesome tropical bass track produces all the right feelings from within us. The three tracks following this are all Latin based. ‘Loco Contingo’ and ‘Taki Taki’ have already risen up the charts and got our hips moving. Both feature a stellar amount of artists. ‘Fuego’ reminds me of a Latin version of ‘A Different Way.’ It is a pop-hit waiting to happen.

Indian inspired ‘Magenta Riddim’ is a festival favorite for many. ‘Frequency 75’ will send tingles down your spine once the bass kicks in. ‘SouthSide’ featuring Eptic gets our neck banging to the beat. It is one of the most popular songs played at festivals this Summer. ‘No Option’ has cool electro-reggae sound. It is one of the more different tracks in the album. We finally end on where it all started for DJ Snake ‘Paris.’ The final track featuring GASHI has inspiring hip-hop throughout with a dreamlike drop mixed in.

Concluding Thoughts

One thing is clear from this album, DJ Snake has a lot of connections. From one song to the next we are always impressed with who is providing vocals or assisting him with the track. The list of names feels like it could go on forever. His sound has developed to include elements from all over the world. Latin inspired tracks is a favorite for him recently. However, this album also ranges from American Rap to Jamaican Raggae to Indian inspired. It almost feels like the sounds of the World.

We are in an age where DJs go all around the globe to play their music. DJ Snake is amongst the best who can connect with a nation. ‘Carte Blanche’ takes him in a new direction. It is hard to not find a song you like in this mammoth 17-track album. The future is bright for DJ Snake and it seems this album of worldly sounds is only the beginning.

Over the past year, William Sami Étienne Grigahcine, known professionally as DJ Snake, has been slowly and efficiently promoting his highly anticipated sophomore album.

A year is a significant amount of time to keep fans waiting (we’re positive you agree) – that said, the French producer’s rumored title, tracklist, and release date have all surfaced online.

That’s right, rave fam, the wait could finally be over! If the speculations are, indeed, correct, we’ll be able to hear Carte Blanche as early as July 26, 2019 – just in time for Tomorrowland weekend 2!

The featured artists on this potential LP will completely blow you away! If the rumors are true, you’ll be able to hear collabs by ZHU, Burna Boy, Bryson Tiller, Majid Jordan; not to mention by his close friends Tchami, Malaa, and Mercer!

If Carte Blanche is anything like Snake’s debut LP, Encore, you know that we’re in for a serious treat! We have already gotten a taste with the chart-topping singles ‘Taki Taki‘, ‘Loco Contigo‘, and ‘Try Me‘ – the countdown is on!

The exceptionally talented Kelly Clarkson hosted the event, pulling off multiple wardrobe changes and performances. She was rushed to the hospital to have her appendix removed due to acute appendicitis shortly after the ceremony – our thoughts are with her!

Although the American singer-songwriter was the true superstar of the night, some of the biggest EDM heavyweights also shined bright by taking home some seriously impressive wins. The Chainsmokers won the Top Dance/Electronic Artist over Calvin Harris, Kygo, Marshmello, and Odesza. They also took home the win for the Top Dance/Electronic Album over Clean Bandit, David Guetta, Kygo, and Major Lazer.

The Chainsmokers weren’t the only EDM musicians to come out on top, either. Zedd won the Top Dance/Electronic Song, alongside Maren Morris & Grey, for his chart-topping hit ‘Middle‘. Runner-ups included DJ Snake ft. Selena Gomez, Ozuna & Cardi B, Calvin Harris & Dua Lipa, Marshmello & Bastille, and Tiesto & Dzeko ft. Preme & Post Malone.

Congratulations are in order for another well-deserved win, guys! It’s so great to see you continue to shine.
