This track started as something we wanted to make for LIQUID: LAB, we love incorporating classic dance records into everything we do. When we started playing it at festivals earlier this year, we knew we had to get it out in the summertime, and we’re so excited to share it everywhere finally.

KREAM

With catchy lyrics and an Electro approach, this rendition delivers an enjoyable and impactful experience. The drops fuse different musical elements, creating a powerful and satisfying impact. Oldschool plucks meet new-school percussion, rolling basslines, and a vocal line easily recognizable by the vast majority of EDM listeners out there.

The duo is no stranger to great beats, though. KREAM’s recent release ‘Sweat‘ received a great reception, solidifying their status in the electronic music scene and this new track continues their outstanding track records. Coco Star, on the other hand, had her voice circle around the whole world through different versions of her ‘I Need A Miracle’, the most famous of which was originally a mashup (then, an official release) with Fragma, commonly referred to as ‘Toca’s Miracle‘.

“I was a big fan of Cedric Gervais’ ‘MOLLY’ which was released in 2012– I loved playing it in my
DJ sets. The vocal was so cool and it had a banging drop! At the start of Summer 2022 I had
the idea to rework the record and put a fresh spin on it. I reached out to Cedric and asked his
permission to produce a new version of Molly and he was happy to send me the stems. After
working on the track and testing it all summer I am excited to collaborate with Cedric and
release ‘MOLLY’ to the world!

UK superstar Joel Corry has been on a similar tear this year, climbing the British charts with his Becky Hill collab “History,” and more recently unleashing the invigorating anthem “Lionheart (Fearless)” with vocalist Tom Grennan. Having just completed his North American tour, with stops in New York, Las Vegas, and Montreal, Joel now sets his sights back on the UK for the spring of 2023. While the aforementioned singles were primed for radios around the world, the new release with Cedric Gervais represents a return to the sweet sounds of the underground for Joel Corry.

MORTEN keeps his iconic trademark with this track. He combines melodic sounds with the heart-throbbing beats of underground dance music. From the beginning, you get a high energy riff for big room energy. Then it suddenly drops into that deep sound of the underground. The enchanting topline sets in and the vocal leads into a thumping synth. Combined with an accelerating drum, the track pulsates with a bass heavy drop.

The catchy hook “You’re no good for me, I don’t need nobody / Don’t need no one that’s no good for me” echos throughout. The Prodigy’s iconic 1994 track ‘No Good (Start The Dance) has actually been worked through numerous times in the past. So, it’s no wonder that MORTEN puts a new twist on one of his biggest inspirations. When that drop hits, dance floors are sure to shatter.

“The Prodigy have always been a big inspiration for me, the first concert I ever went to was to see them back when I was 14 and I have admired their work ever since. Using the sample of one of their songs for my first solo track in a long time seemed like the perfect choice as they have inspired me for so many years. This track is really important to me and being able to tie it to The Prodigy is an honor for me.”

Some of you may recognize ‘Permanence’, from one of Guetta’s or Morten’s shows. In fact, you definitely heard it if you watched David Guetta’s NYE Livestream From Louvre Abu Dhabi. The Frenchman once again rang in the new year with a stellar Livestream set. The location offered stunning views, as the stage overlooked the Persian Gulf.

‘Permanence’ is highly distinctive by the brass/synth lead, which sits very well on top of the mix. From the beginning, you can appreciate the dark ambiance of the track. Once the drop comes, you immediately recognize the genre. The song is a well-balanced mix between techno and progressive house, as it should be.

Obviously, there is more to come from Guetta and Morten. They seem to work really well together and enjoying it too. Along with ‘Permanence’, the two DJs have released more than a dozen of tracks together. Surely, more Future Rave bangers are on the way.

This year, you can find David touring in Ibiza, at Creamfields North and South, Palmesus Festival, Ultra Music Festival, and Sunrise Festival. As for Morten, you can catch him this weekend at TIME Nightclub in Orange County, California. You may have the chance to hear ‘Permanence’ live in one of these shows.

After a vocal loop and chord build-up, ‘My Frequency’ explodes into a powerful drop. The drop is guided by an amazing sound, joined by the same chords heard throughout the song.

Tiësto and 7 Skies deliver without a doubt a lit bass house banger. The track shows us once again that Tiësto can easily dominate any genre he wants to. After decades as one of the scene’s powerhouses, this shouldn’t surprise us at all. While this song might be a bit darker than his usual sound, it is a change we’ll gladly embrace! We can’t wait to dance to Tiësto’s frequency this festival season!

This powerful track called ‘Monster’ was released by Spinning Records/Musical Freedom. It is a great track for big events and it received huge support from the industry. ‘Monster’ was first played in Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano’s Tomorrowland set. Besides, many top DJs such as Tiësto, Afrojack, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike or Sander van Doorn played it on their sets.

This track contains a powerful percussion thanks to the beautiful drums that accompany the track. It has tribal electro sound elements and some house details. ‘Monster’ also contains a beautiful drop, ideal for the festival season.

Tiësto, the founder of Musical Freedom, will celebrate the anniversary at Amsterdam’s club AIR Amsterdam on Thursday, October 17th. The night will include performances from Tiësto and friends not yet announced at this time.

The announcement states that Musical Freedom artists won’t be the only ones playing the show. In addition to Tiësto and friends, attendees can plan to see DJs that “represent the label’s finely crafted reputation”.

Those planning on attending the celebration can pre-register now for access to the pre-sale. The ticket pre-sale will begin at 10 a.m. (CEST) on August 5th.

Despite being more well-known for his huge dance music hits and remixes, Tiesto founded Musical Freedom in 2009. He used the label as a way to “freely release exciting music” that him and his friends were producing and performing.

In growing over the past 10 years, Musical Freedom also pairs Tiësto’s passion to discover and mentor new talent. The label often features new artists and sounds.

In the third episode of Musical Freedom Focus, our attention is shifted towards Oliver Heldens. Musical Freedom Focus is an interview series stemming from Tiësto‘s very own record label. Using this platform, Tiësto has been able to host interviews of a handful of artists. Although few in number, the other in-depth interviews include Jauz and Brohug.

The interview takes place around the windy city’s streets with Oliver where he discusses his ‘groovy and energetic’ sound. Furthermore, he welcomes collaboration with artists from other genres. It may follow that the next “Gecko” might be heard on the radio.

Speaking of the song that reverberated through the entire EDM community, Mr. Heldens confesses that he created the song while traveling on a holiday. ‘Gecko’ has spawned countless remixes from a range of diverse artists. When the inspiration hits, you just have to run with it. Heldens also touches on Heldeep Radio and how it uplifts artists who he likes, and is proud to help make an imprint on the community.
