The label has made a strong start with its initial release, the debut track ‘Como Se Llama‘. This single captures the sound Romera is known for: it channels his more intense, underground edge while remaining faithful to his signature style of infectious rhythm. The track has already been noted for its hypnotising percussion, powerful bassline, and a central hook powerful enough to crowd a dancefloor in seconds.

After standout releases on Solid Grooves Raw, COCO, Issues, Edible, Toolroom, and Black Book, among many other A-class labels in the genre, the only logical step missing for Tony in his relentless search for the best beats, was to become a label head himself and be at the forefront of discovering and harvesting new talent. A Celebration of Rave Culture

Speaking about the project, LP Giobbi explained: “Our debut label compilation ‘We Say Yes’ celebrates the original spirit of raving. ‘We’ highlights unity and inclusivity on the dance floor while ‘Yes’ emphasises the power of positivity and optimism, connecting to the Yes Yes Yes ethos.”

The Music

The compilation opens with ‘Natura Umana‘, a collaboration between LP Giobbi and Alex Kennon, blending organic instrumentation with hypnotic house textures. Rising star EMJIE follows with ‘Hurt Me No More’, a groove-driven cut bursting with uplifting energy.

Frequent collaborators Inda Jani & Ghezz step in with ‘Richman’, layering rolling basslines and expansive synths, before Fundido transforms LP Giobbi’s ‘Take My Hand’ into a euphoric remix.

Baby Weight contributes the chunky and infectious ‘Feral‘, while Disfreq & mOat bring a bold reinterpretation of Kate Bush’s iconic ‘Running Up That Hill’. Finally, Berlin-based producer and vocalist JOPLYN closes the record with ‘Fired Up’, a high-energy heater that embodies the compilation’s bold spirit.

‘Wait So Long’

‘Wait So Long’ marks the first Swedish House Mafia release on SUPERHUMAN, their newly launched label. SUPERHUMAN is a multidisciplinary creative hub and platform for boundary-pushing artists of the future. This summer, the group will make their return to Tomorrowland and Creamfields, bringing an all-new energy to their live sets.

Last year, the group released their single, ‘Finally’ with Alicia Keys, a reworked version of Kings of Tomorrow’s timeless song. They also released ‘Lioness,’ which they originally began teasing during their historic six-week Ushuaïa Ibiza Residency. Swedish House Mafia celebrated the release of ‘Lioness’ during their exclusive, one-night-only show at the Brooklyn Mirage last April. Last fall, they performed at Will Ferrell’s “Ultimate DJ House Party” at the Wintrust Arena in Chicago, IL, for a concert in support of “Cancer For College.”

Swedish House Mafia

Formed in 2008, Swedish House Mafia—Axwell, Steve Angello, and Sebastian Ingrosso—quickly established themselves as one of the most influential acts in electronic music. They brought house music to arenas, bridging club culture and global stages through bold production, uncompromising live shows, and a clear artistic vision. The trio were the first electronic act to headline and sell out Madison Square Garden (2011) and the first to close Coachella’s main stage (2012).

It began with Flood, Sebastian Ingrosso’s first solo release in eight years, followed by No Enemies, a collaboration between Ingrosso, Steve Angello, and Namasenda. Superhuman will serve as the primary platform for future Swedish House Mafia releases, as well as a launchpad for a new generation of emerging talent.

The Explorations imprint is an evolution of the much-loved Various Artist EP series of the same name, which spanned 25 editions between 2016-2023 on Anjunadeep. Kicking off in Vancouver, Toolroom will take over the Harbour Event & Convention Centre on June 14th for a night to remember between lights, great music, and good company. Following the Vancouver event, Toolroom will head to Los Angeles the night after to host its journey at Avalon Hollywood.

The crew piloting the plane this time will be the same for both nights, so no matter which gig you attend, you certainly won’t miss out on the fun: in charge will be Toolroom founder and House legend Mark Knight, veteran House and Techno act Martin Ikin, and special back-to-back performances by Crusy and Tony Romera.

We’re absolutely delighted to kick off this week on such a high note as this. Progressive master Grum has just unveiled a brand-new arrangement on his newly founded imprint Being, ‘HIGHER STATE‘. As is the case with the rest of his latest releases, we’ve been blessed with a minimalistic composition that focuses on what analogue machines can provide.

Now focused on artistic freedom, he’s all-in on the sounds that once shaped the very sound of our industry, borrowing atmospheres and techniques from the early 2000s and before. What’s more, this approach to music production, we shared a while ago, would eventually lead to a 2024 full of live touring, one in which Grum would ditch the laptop to control and remix his tunes live, on the spot. Well, that’s a reality now. More info on that below.

‘HIGHER STATE’

Grum’s new track ‘HIGHER STATE‘ comes packed with nostalgia. Crafted from the ground up, this song starts from the very conception of a single sound, and builds up from there. Evolving into a beautiful four-on-the-floor piece, the artist made sure to give sense and reason to every element present, which there are not that many of, and which, at the same time, fill up the space in elegant motion.

Trancy plucks, hypnotising delays, abstract vocals, saws, and machine-programmed percussion, everything comes in a handy little package this time. The entire song and its elements come together in a way that only an artist with the calibre of Grum could craft.
