The centerpiece is the Tomorrowland Expo, which spreads across a series of rooms inside De Rode Hoed, each one built around a different corner of the Tomorrowland universe. Visitors can walk through installations dedicated to Tomorrowland Belgium, Tomorrowland Winter, Tomorrowland Brasil, and Tomorrowland Thailand, with each room designed to reflect the look and atmosphere of that specific edition. Taken together, it’s meant to track how the festival has grown into a global operation without losing the identity that made it stand out in the first place.

Music programming runs through the week via One World Radio, Tomorrowland’s in-house station, which broadcasts live from De Rode Hoed on Wednesday, October 21, Thursday, October 22, and Friday, October 23, starting at noon each day. The lineup of guests dropping in for interviews and short DJ sets includes Armin van Buuren, The Bausa, Kevin de Vries, Miss Monique, Amber Broos, and Kölsch, among others. The broadcasts aren’t confined to the venue either — One World Radio’s reach extends the sets and conversations well past the Amsterdam canals to listeners tuning in elsewhere.

Beyond the exhibition rooms and radio setup, there’s a Tomorrowland Store stocked with merchandise exclusive to the ADE activation, plus a bar serving Solo Vida for anyone who needs a breather between rooms. The Lab of Tomorrow adds a different angle to the week, showcasing innovations and ideas tied to where the festival sees itself heading next.

The Expo runs Wednesday, October 21 through Saturday, October 24, with doors opening at 10:00 each day. Wednesday’s hours wrap at 17:00, while Thursday through Saturday the Expo stays open until 20:00. Entry is free. De Rode Hoed has hosted Tomorrowland’s ADE presence before, and its location at Keizersgracht 102 puts the activation right in the middle of the city during the week when Amsterdam effectively becomes the center of the electronic music industry.

Opening night on Friday, October 9 belongs to MRAK, the solo project of Carmine Conte — one half of Tale Of Us and a co-founder of Afterlife. It’s a heavyweight booking for a debut, and it signals the kind of programming ORIGIN is aiming for out of the gate. Saturday, October 10 splits into two distinct experiences: a daytime outdoor session with Brazil’s Malive and Greece’s Liva K, followed by a nighttime club set from Germany’s Kölsch. The venue itself sits at 613 Imperial Street, a continuation of the industrial space that’s hosted events in the Arts District before, now rebuilt into what the team is calling a fully realized concept. The idea is movement — guests flow between an indoor music room and a grand outdoor patio rather than staying locked into one static setup. Fridays are earmarked for live top-tier and indie electronic bookings, while Saturdays will swing between daytime outdoor parties and late-night house and techno programming.

ORIGIN is backed by Roni Mehrabian and Cyril Bitar, the pair behind LA nightlife brands SBCLTR and Minimal Effort, along with dance events like LABRYINTO, Brunch Electronik, The Maze, FLOAT, and Resolutions. Between them, they’ve got more than two decades building out LA’s nightlife landscape, and ORIGIN marks their move into owning a fixed venue rather than producing events that pass through other spaces.

Beyond the weekly programming, ORIGIN will anchor quarterly Arts District parties, starting with the 2026 edition of THE MAZE. After two sold-out runs at Union Station, the Halloween block party moves into its biggest edition yet at ORIGIN’s new location, with a lineup featuring The Blaze performing live, an Arcade Fire DJ set from Win Butler and Paul Beaubrun, Claude VonStroke, and an installation honoring the late Kavinsky. Built for Sound First

Design-wise, ORIGIN was shaped by Marc Dizon, the architect behind Brooklyn Mirage, Output in New York, Hakkasan in Las Vegas, and Sound in Los Angeles. The venue runs on a custom analog KV2 Audio system tuned specifically for the room, aiming for even sound distribution between the dance floor and mezzanine. The outdoor rig gets its own dedicated setup, engineered to hold up in open-air conditions without spilling too far into the surrounding neighborhood.

Brand identity work comes courtesy of Super Evil Genius Group, the LA-based agency responsible for John Summit’s Experts Only Records branding, Framework’s Spotlight Hollywood, Wynn Nightlife’s 2024 residency launch, Art Of The Wild Festival, and the Tao Beach opening in Las Vegas.

‘Heartless’ (Fideles Remix)

The Fideles remix of ‘Heartless’ takes a track that blends the styles of WhoMadeWho and Kölsch into an effortlessly beautiful work that creates a calming atmosphere, and livens it up while staying true to its roots. WhoMadeWho fans can look forward to more, with an upcoming remix by Alex Wann and an official remix EP on the horizon. WhoMadeWho’s recent success extends beyond the studio. The trio clinched the “Best Organic House” award at the 2024 DJ Awards in Ibiza earlier this month, adding to their “Best Live Performer” accolade from the 2024 Beatport Awards in May. We had the incredible opportunity to sit down with the one and only Kölsch to discuss his latest album I Talk To Water, a masterful collection of tracks that seamlessly blend raw energy with soul-stirring melodies. EDMTunes: Kölsch, you’ve been honoring the US with your live performances. How has the journey been so far, especially with your shows in the States?

Kölsch: It’s been great. Always such a pleasure to perform in the states. the Audience has such an open mind, and I Usually play longer sets. All in all it’s great opportunity to dig out some more obscure tracks. 

EDMTunes: You just performed in Los Angeles on November 25th. How was this particular performance?

Kölsch: It was incredible. I Love Sound as a club. It has an amazing sound system, but it’s the people that make that club. Drinks curfew is at 02, but we always go till at least 03.30. So much fun

EDMTunes: Speaking of ‘I Talk To Water,’ could you share a bit more about the inspiration behind this album and its significance in your musical journey?

Kölsch: The album is about the passing of my father in 2003 and how you can use grief as a driving force. My father was a musician and the album features 3 tracks with him. 

I dug them up during COVID and produced everything around them. It was a healing process to release this music finally. A thing he never achieved when he was alive. 

EDMTunes: In your live shows, how do you integrate the emotional depth of ‘I Talk To Water’ into your performances while ensuring an engaging audience experience?

Kölsch: I have been testing the material for the last 3 years, so my core audience knew the tracks before they even came out. It’s been such a blessing to feel people’s emotional connection to the album. We all have different stories of loss, and everyone can relate.
