The latest example of this comes via a tweet from hip-hop artist Rae Sremmurd (which is “drummer’s ear” backwards by the way).

As with most of these Jack U collab teaser tweets, that’s literally all we know at this point. For those of you who think all of this is just aimless teasing, don’t forget that “Where Are U Now” began in much the same way way back in February of 2015.

Skrillex and Valentino Khan are two major names in the dance music industry, so it should be expected that a collaboration from these two would be full of groundbreaking bass and exotic sounds. Just recently on Apple Music’s Beats 1 OWSLA Radio, “Slam Dunk” made its premiere.

The track features Kstylis and brings a blend of Valentino’s unique flair with Skrillex’s endless assortment of sounds. The song has made appearances in the DJ sets of both artists and we’re sure it will stay there well after its official release.  In fact, we’re willing to bet that “Slam Dunk” will be a festival hit once summer rolls around. Details surrounding the tune are limited, but for now, you can listen to the OWSLA Radio audio below.

Despite his many appearances on BBC Radio 1, Amp Live and Diplo & Friends, this will be Skrillex’s first radio residency. He will join a strong family of artists on Apple Music which includes Eric Prydz, Major Lazer, Drake, Dr. Dre and many more. The legendary producer will make his Beats 1 debut this Saturday, January 30th, at 12PM PT/3PM ET/8PM UK. Until then, listen to his 2013 Essential Mix to get you in the mood.

Jack Ü – To Ü Remix EP

It’s been quite a busy year for Skrillex and Diplo, as they continue to dominate the music industry as Jack Ü. Their collaboration album topped out #1 on iTunes shortly after its release in February and till this day, is praised as gold. One of their tracks, “To Ü”, featuring AlunaGeorge was one of the most popular tracks ofo the album and was remixed by various artists like Meaux Green, Magnifico, T-Mass and Ramzoid. Apparently, those weren’t the only remixes though, as Jack Ü just exclusively released a “To Ü” remix EP.

In this brand new set of reworks, we see productions by George, Armin Van Helden, Oliver, and Clean Bandit. All these tracks take “To Ü” to another level of genres; with George and Oliver’s downtempo remixes as well as AVH and Clean Bandit’s new pumping deep-house remixes. Check out the sweet new line of reworks below and let us know what you think.

While Jack Ü has played numerous live shows, to date only “Take U There” has seen official release, and it will be included on the album as well. Next up is “To U” featuring vocals from AlunaGeorge, which Skrillex has been playing out in multiple variations at his shows. “Beat Steady Knocking” is probably the most well known new track from the album, as it was the only unreleased one to be played during the entire evening at Madison Square Garden. It is widely suspected that one of the tracks will be the insane “ID” track with OWSLA’s SNAILS. Other tracks include “Jungle Bae”, “I Need You the Most”, “Some of Them”, and “Febreze” featuring 2Chainz. Get ready to hear a lot more from Jack Ü in 2015.

UPDATE:

The 24-hour livestream was cut off around 8:00am (EST) when the police showed up to shut the party down. However, the moment we’ve all been waiting for is finally here! You can listen to Jack Ü’s album, which features collaborations with Justin Bieber, Missy Elliott, 2 Chainz and more, below and even score your own copy right here on iTunes.

During the blazing hot JACK U New Year’s Eve set Diplo got on the mic and said to crowd, “everybody wishes they were in New York City with you right now!”. After listening to the sets, now available for streaming, that would seem to be a pretty accurate statement. For those of you living under a rock, JACK U is probably the hottest act in the EDM world at the moment and they followed in the footsteps of artists such as Swedish House Mafia, Bassnectar, Hardwell, Eric Prydz, and Above & Beyond by taking over Madison Square Garden for a New Years Eve blowout.

Starting off the night were sets from A$AP Ferg, Rudimental, and Yellowclaw. Then, Diplo jumped on the decks for an energetic set that blended future house, trap, hip-hop, and big room tracks in a whirlwind 45 minutes. Next up was Skrillex to take over and he dropped many of the biggest bangers from himself, OWSLA artists, and hip-hop. Not too surprisingly, both Diplo and Skrillex refrained from dropping JACK U tracks in their individual sets.

As 11:55pm approached, an awe-inspiring intro montage was played as the timer counted down. The montage included the biggest happenings of the year for JACK U, including  fun scenes from Burning Man and the Mad Decent Boat Party. The montage then shifted to emotional looks at the Ebola crisis, Ferguson, and included  tributes to Robin Williams and Derek Jeter’s retirment. As the montage played, the livestream occasionally shifted to Skrillex and Diplo huddled together behind the decks taking in it all in. It was undoubtedly a poignant moment for all in attendance.

Finally, when the clock struck midnight Skrillex and Diplo took the decks as JACK U to usher in 2015 in the craziest way possible. Their set featured numerous cameos and the hottest JACK U records including their electric remix of Beyonce’s 7/11, Beat Steady Knocking, and of course Take U There. Unfortunately, the set did not include any of the exciting JACK U “ID” tracks from their Diplo & Friends Mix, but the crowd was going wild nonetheless. It’s a true testament to Skrillex & Diplo that they can hold back so many amazing tracks and still throw down a killer set. If you want to see what you missed at Madison Square Garden on New Year’s Eve, the full sets are available to stream below.

“She’s due in the next couple of weeks. Her friends recently had a baby shower for her. She and Wes aren’t together, but he’s actively involved in [Lockett’s] life.”

Still, the Mad Decent maverick has a heavy 2015 lined up aside from a baby on its way. Fresh off a powerful brigade with Skrillex unleashing new JACK Ü material on BBC Radio 1, Diplo will also be headlining Madison Square Garden with Sonny this New Year’s Eve – not to mention a new Major Lazer cartoon show coming to FXX, paired with the new Major Lazer album also due out next year. But if anyone could handle all this at once it would definitely be Diplo. Congratulations to Wes on the new baby!

Drawing on JACK Ü staples (Mr. Postman, anyone?), the show progresses into new and unreleased material from the duo – ‘Jungle Bae’, ‘Cumbia Maluca’, an upcoming release with bass producer, SNAILS, and JACK Ü’s latest production with 2 Chainz: ‘Febreeze’. The mix also teases Diplo’s new collaboration with DJ Snake, a fresh ‘Recess’ VIP and Yogi, ‘Burial’ remix from Skrillex, and multiple other ID’s from Sonny and Diplo – both together and separately. In its climatic end, fans are given an unbelievable mash-up of ‘Cinema’ and ‘Get Free’. Headlining Madison Square Garden this New Year’s, 2015 is slated to be a huge year for the unstoppable super group. Set aside two hours to sit back and listen to the JACK Ü takeover in its full glory.

Snails & Antiserum – Wild
Label: OWSLA | Release Date: May 20th, 2014
Beatport

Without a doubt, Jack U threw down one of the best sets at Ultra Music Festival. Although many of the highlights came from Skrillex and Diplo playing their own hits, some of the ID’s they dropped ended up being talked about just as much. One of those came from Snails and Antiserum and we now know that the highly sought after track is appropriately titled “Wild”. With Snails hailing from Montreal and Antiserum calling San Francisco home, this coast-to-coast collab proves that the east and west not only know how to get along, but know how to create a mind-boggling tune. Since the track being released on Skrillex’s imprint OWSLA, we can only hope “Wild” finds its way into the label boss’ “Mothership Tour” set, which kicks off in Oklahoma City on Friday.
