Josh Wink and Simon Vuarambon have linked up for ‘Metro,’ out now as part of a two-track package on John Digweed’s Bedrock Records. The release pairs the Vuarambon rework of Wink’s ‘Metro’ with Vuarambon’s own solo cut, ‘Grey Area,’ rounding out a release that’s been building momentum on dance floors since the summer.

On the A-side, Vuarambon takes Wink’s original and pulls it toward the deeper, slow-burning progressive sound that’s defined his output over the past couple of years. It’s been in heavy rotation in sets well before the official release, picking up traction the old-fashioned way — through DJ play rather than a hype cycle.

The B-side, ‘Grey Area,’ is a Vuarambon solo production that’s also found its footing on the floor. Both tracks take their time, unfolding gradually rather than rushing toward a peak, which makes the pairing a natural fit for a label built on exactly that kind of patient, journey-oriented sound.

The release is available digitally now and was also pressed as a limited 12-inch run of 325 copies, which sold out through Bedrock’s store shortly after going up. The vinyl carries ‘Metro’ on the A-side and ‘Grey Area’ on the flip.

For Wink, ‘Metro’ is the latest in a steady run of output. It follows his remix of Chris Liebing’s ‘Eye C’ for CLR and his Ovum Recordings single ‘Futurama,’ a track that grew out of a rediscovered recording of his first-ever Los Angeles performance back in 1994. The three records sit in different corners of house and techno, but all trace back to the same restless, genre-agnostic approach that’s defined his career for more than three decades.

That refusal to stay in one lane is more or less Wink’s calling card. His catalog runs from ‘Higher State of Consciousness’ and ‘Don’t Laugh’ to ‘I’m Ready’ and ‘Stay Out All Night,’ and his remix credits include Radiohead, Moby, Depeche Mode, Radio Slave and Dave Clarke. Ovum Recordings, the label he’s run for decades, remains his main outlet for new music and for artists he wants to put a spotlight on.

Vuarambon, meanwhile, is a Swiss producer now based in Buenos Aires whose recent work has landed on Bedrock, Global Underground, and Guy J’s Early Morning imprint. His track ‘Stamina’ hit No. 1 on Beatport’s Progressive House chart, and ‘Metro’ continues a run that’s steadily built his name within the deeper end of the progressive house scene.

Charlotte de Witte‘s 2024 techno anthem ‘How You Move‘ is getting a psytrance overhaul courtesy of Avalon & GMS, who are unveiling a new collaborative project called Age of Acid. The remix marks the duo’s first release under the moniker and is out now via RPM, the techno-leaning offshoot of de Witte’s label KNTXT.

This isn’t the first time de Witte has handed her music over to the pair. Avalon and GMS previously released a collaborative EP, The Underground, on KNTXT, and their remix of her track ‘A Prayer for the Dancefloor’ landed on the deluxe edition of her debut album. The working relationship goes back far enough that de Witte namechecks them directly in her own statement on the release.

“The boys are back! I’m very honoured to have Avalon & GMS once again on remix duties for one of my tracks, and this time with their brand new project Age of Acid,” de Witte said. “‘How You Move,’ originally released in 2024, gets taken to a whole other level and quite literally reaches new dimensions. It’s just another confirmation of the love between these two genres in the realm of electronic music. And more is coming.“

The original track built its reputation on a hypnotic, acid-laced groove and a fast, clipped rap vocal running through the arrangement. The Age of Acid rework chops that structure into a series of trancey breakdowns and builds, layering in skittery melodic synth lines while the rap vocal gets pulled apart, processed, and pushed to the front of the mix. The fizzing acid lines that defined the original also get their own vocal drop treatment.

“We both loved the original by Charlotte and feel this is one of our favourite remixes we’ve made so far,” Age of Acid said of the release. “Keeping the essence of the original, but also bringing our own sound and stamp on this acidic bomb. Also we are very honored to have it as our debut release for our new Avalon & GMS project together called Age of Acid.“

Who Are Avalon & GMS

Both producers carry serious weight in the psytrance world individually. Avalon, a London-based DJ and producer, has notched more than 30 number ones on Beatport’s psytrance charts along with five top-selling albums, and has played sets at Tomorrowland, Boom, EDC Las Vegas, Glastonbury, Exit, Burning Man, Ultra, A State of Trance and Ministry of Sound.

GMS, short for Growling Mad Scientists, is the alias of Dutch, Ibiza-based producer Riktam. He’s credited with more psytrance record releases than almost anyone in the genre, has sold over 300,000 albums, founded the influential label Spun Records, and has had his music featured in three Tony Scott films.

Black Coffee is heading back to the jungle. The Grammy-winning South African producer has been confirmed as the final headliner for Zamna Tulum’s 10th anniversary celebration, rounding out a lineup that’s been building for months.

Black Coffee will play Zamna Tulum on January 6, bringing his blend of Afro-house, Afro-techno, and deep house to a festival that’s built its identity on genre-spanning bills in the middle of the Quintana Roo jungle. His booking locks in the final piece of a lineup that already includes Renaissance, Anyma, Adriatique, and Adam Port, giving the anniversary edition a spread that touches everything from melodic techno to deep, soulful house.

This isn’t Black Coffee’s first trip to Tulum — he closed out an earlier Zamna season in the same market, and his return continues a relationship between the producer and the festival that’s become something of a fixture on its calendar. Over a career that’s spanned two decades, he’s built a sound around hypnotic percussion, layered melodies, and a knack for making a jungle dancefloor feel like a slow sunrise, which is more or less the exact mood Zamna has leaned on since it started.

The 10th anniversary run kicks off December 31 with Renaissance, followed by Anyma on January 4, Black Coffee on January 6, Adriatique on January 8, and Adam Port closing things out on January 10. The full run stretches from December 31, 2026 through January 10, 2027 — ten days of programming meant to mark a full decade since Zamna first set up in Tulum.

Where Zamna Started — and Where It’s Gone

Zamna launched in Tulum back in 2017 and has since expanded into a global brand, with editions now running in Barcelona, Madrid, Ibiza, Miami, New York, Sao Paulo, Dubai, and Malta, plus a beach-focused series hitting spots like Cesme, Mykonos, Porto Cervo, and the French Riviera. The company behind it, Universal Xperience, now counts more than 500,000 registered users and over 1.6 million social followers across its various markets.

Even with that international footprint, Tulum remains the anchor. This anniversary edition is framed as a return to where the whole project began, with the lineup built to reflect the range of sounds Zamna has championed since its first year.

Tickets for Black Coffee’s January 6 set, along with Multipass Exchange access, are available now through Zamna’s official ticketing page. Hotel packages, VIP tables, and additional lineup updates can be found at ZamnaFestival.com.

Above & Beyond have released a new single. “Nights Like This” is out now on Anjunabeats. The track brings together a darker, techno-influenced sound and the melodic trance the trio are known for.

It opens with a robotic voice over a heavy bassline. The atmosphere feels dark and tense, before gritty synths push the track into harder territory. Those familiar Above & Beyond melodies gradually emerge as the energy builds.

Then comes the payoff. The intensity gives way to a softer, more spacious passage, with the melodies taking centre stage. Rather than keeping the pressure on, the track lets the emotion breathe. It’s a contrast that gives ‘Nights Like This’ its character, balancing a harder edge with the melodic sound that has long defined the trio.

At just six years old, Illumi Maeda, better known as DJ ILLU, is already making waves in the electronic music scene. The young DJ from Japan has officially earned the Guinness World Records title for the youngest female club DJ, achieving the milestone at just 6 years and 99 days old.

According to Guinness World Records, Illumi secured the record on March 28, 2026, after performing a set lasting more than an hour at a club in Yokohama, Japan. Despite encountering technical difficulties during the performance, she managed to complete her record-breaking set.

It was a very hectic day, and we had some problems with the equipment. I felt nervous, but I’m really glad I managed to do it!

, she shared with Guinness World Records.

Inspired by Avicii and the Power of Music

Illumi’s passion for music began at an early age. Growing up in a household filled with different genres, she developed an appreciation for music through family gatherings, dancing, and eventually learning to DJ at just three years old.

One of her biggest inspirations is the late electronic music icon Avicii, whose music helped her understand the emotional impact music can have on people.

“When I felt low or didn’t have much energy, listening to Avicii would lift my spirits,” she explained.

Her interest in DJing grew when friends of her mother, who were DJs themselves, began teaching her the basics.

For Illumi, being behind the decks is about more than mixing tracks. She enjoys watching people connect through music, dance, and express themselves freely. She also loves experimenting with sounds and following her instincts when creating a mix.

Big Dreams for a Young DJ

Although she’s only six, Illumi already has ambitious plans for her future. She hopes to perform at festivals around the world, continue improving her skills, and potentially earn another Guinness World Records title.

“I’d love to DJ at different festivals around the world,” she told Guinness World Records.

She even dreams of opening her own ice cream shop where she can DJ while serving customers.

Outside of music, Illumi attends school, completes her homework, and enjoys dancing, snowboarding, snorkeling, and traveling.

Despite her remarkable achievement, she remains focused on learning and growing as an artist. More importantly, she hopes her music can bring happiness and comfort to others.

“I want to become a DJ who makes music that lifts people’s spirits, brings them comfort, and helps them through difficult times, wherever they are in the world.”

At just six years old, DJ ILLU is already showing that a passion for music can start at any age. With a world record under her belt and big dreams ahead, her journey behind the decks is only beginning.

Fresh off the back of topping the charts with this summer’s biggest dance track, ANOTR share brand new music.

Following one of the year’s defining dance records and a summer of sold-out shows across the world, in-demand Amsterdam duo ANOTR return with brand new music, unveiling their latest single, ‘Out of My Head’. Built around a shimmering disco-funk guitar lick, ‘Out of My Head’ (which drops 15th October on their own label No Art) pairs hands-in-the-air vocal layers with an infectious, soulful house groove. Drawing on the spirit of early 2000s house, the track is made for the dancefloor, with live strings recorded by a nine-piece ensemble of violinists and cellists providing a final organic flourish to the production.

Written during the first official songwriting retreat at their new studio house in the Dutch countryside, ‘Out of My Head’ marks a new chapter in ANOTR’s creative process. Having hosted retreats in rented houses across the Netherlands and further afield, including NYC and Ibiza, Jesse and Oz finally purchased their own bespoke studio house and moved swiftly to start creating in their make-shift studio, whilst renovations were taking place around them.

A milestone for the duo, the house was designed as a permanent hub for collaboration and artistic exploration, grounded in the core values of creativity, connection, nature and psychedelic inquiry. True to their ethos, ANOTR call these stays ‘retreats’, rather than ‘sessions’, with a relaxed, open environment considered just as important as the music itself.

‘Out of My Head’ represents a return to club-focused singles following the release of their hugely acclaimed third studio album ‘Withness’ earlier this summer.

Demand for ANOTR has reached new heights following the extraordinary global success of ‘Talk To You Ft. 54 Ultra’. The track has surpassed 250 million streams, reached No. 3 on the UK Singles Chart, No. 1 on the UK Dance Chart, peaked at No. 7 on Shazam’s Global Chart and hit No. 1 on Beatport’s Top 100, while generating more than 600 million UGC views. Selected by Spotify for its global ‘Sound of the Summer 2026’ list, the record has become the biggest dance track of the summer.

On the road this year, Jesse and Oz sold out two nights at London’s legendary Alexandra Palace in September, plus sold-out shows at UNVRS Ibiza. They’ve also been busy bringing their own No Art live shows to hundreds of thousands of fans across multiple cities including Miami, Manchester and Lisbon, as well as curating their first No Art Festival in their home town Amsterdam.

With ‘Out of My Head’, ANOTR channel that momentum into a renewed focus on club-driven energy, delivering a track built for expectant dancefloors around the world.

A place where both new up and coming artists and established legends can come together and do what they do best.
-Dom Dolla

He also announced the labels first release, ‘Dance’ from Torren Foot & Rhys will drop Friday. “The first release comes out this week and is by the incredible Torren Foot & rhys from the sticks.
The label announcement comes at a time where his career is at an all time high right on the heels of Dom Dolla’s record-breaking hometown stadium show at Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium, where he performed to 60,000 fans alongside supporting sets from Green Velvet, Torren Foot, and RONA b2b DJ JNETT. He recently headlined Head Trip in Indio California with Kettama warming up for Skrillex and Swedish House Mafia in front of 95,000 people. His anthems include easily recognizable hits from ‘Rhyme Dust’, ‘San Frandisco’, ‘Miracle Maker’, and his recent single ‘DANGER DANGER’ (with Solomun & Skepta).

Next Dom Dolla has his eyes set on New Zealand in February, it will be New Zealand’s largest electronic music event in its history that is expected to draw a crowd of up to 40,000 people. However he will be continuing his North America tour during October and November, his tour schedule is available here.

Michaël Brun is bringing BAYO back to where it all started. The Grammy-winning producer and Haitian cultural ambassador announced that his annual celebration of Haitian and Afro-Caribbean culture will return to Miami’s Little Haiti neighborhood on November 22, marking the block party’s 10th anniversary with a free event capping out at 7,500 attendees — the biggest Little Haiti edition yet.

BAYO started a decade ago as a modest, spur-of-the-moment free party in Little Haiti with fewer than 50 people showing up. It’s since turned into a touring celebration that’s made stops across 12 cities, sold more than 50,000 tickets, and pulled in surprise guests like J Balvin, Saint Levant, Maxwell, Kah-Lo, Oxlade, Machel Montano, and Wyclef Jean. The name itself — BAYO, meaning “to give” in Haitian Creole — gets at what Brun has built the event around: using his platform to spotlight Haitian excellence and give back to the communities that shaped his career.

This year’s anniversary run already included a show at Boston’s Agganis Arena and a sold-out three-night residency at Brooklyn Paramount. Closing it out in Little Haiti brings the celebration full circle, back to the neighborhood where the whole thing began.

“10 years ago, BAYO made its US debut as a free block party in Little Haiti celebrating Haitian and Caribbean culture,” Brun said. “That show was the beginning of a beautiful journey across 12 cities, over 50,000 tickets sold, multiple arena and park shows and over 140 artist guests from around the world. I’m so proud to be bringing BAYO back to Little Haiti for our biggest show ever on November 22nd. New venue, huge surprises, our most iconic lineup of all time and FREE tickets courtesy of Rockstar Games.“

The Miami edition will feature a surprise lineup, along with a vendor village highlighting Haitian and Caribbean food and art. Brun is also using the event to continue supporting local cultural organizations, keeping the giving-back element central to the night rather than just a footnote. Thanks to the Rockstar Games partnership, admission is free, with tickets distributed through a raffle — more than half of which are reserved specifically for Florida residents and Haitian communities. Fans can sign up now at bayotour.com.

Born and raised in Port-au-Prince, Brun has spent his career working with artists ranging from J Balvin and Becky G to Buju Banton and King Promise, picking up a Latin Grammy along the way for his work with Balvin. BAYO’s growth — from a sub-50-person gathering to arena takeovers like this year’s Barclays Center show — tracks with his rise as one of the most visible Haitian voices in music right now. The Little Haiti block party puts that trajectory back in its original context, with Caribbean artistry and community support as the actual point of the night rather than just the backdrop.

Creamfields has landed one of the biggest B2B pairings in dance music for its 2027 edition. Josh Baker, KETTAMA and Prospa will headline the festival’s ARC stage on Friday, August 27, marking the trio’s first UK festival exclusive together following a run of sold-out London shows.

The announcement comes on the back of serious momentum. The three artists sold out three consecutive shows at Finsbury Park, with roughly 200,000 fans registering interest in tickets. That kind of demand for a three-way b2b set is rare, and it’s clearly enough to convince Creamfields organizers to bring the format north to Daresbury, Cheshire for the festival’s August Bank Holiday weekend.

Each artist arrives with their own distinct footprint on the UK scene. Josh Baker has become one of underground house music’s most in-demand names, building a reputation on relentless touring and a sound that leans heavily into rolling, groove-driven production. KETTAMA, the Irish producer who’s spent the last few years turning heads with his high-energy, bass-forward sets, has amassed a global following that extends well beyond his original tech house roots. Prospa, the duo known for blending old-school rave nostalgia with more polished, euphoric club sounds, round out the trio with a style that bridges generations of UK dance music fans.

All three have already had standout moments on the Creamfields grounds in years past, performing individually across different stages. Bringing them together as a headline act is being billed as a statement booking for the festival’s ARC stage, which has become known over the years for hosting some of the more forward-thinking house and techno lineups on site.

The timing lines up with Creamfields’ 30th anniversary celebrations, adding extra weight to what’s expected to be one of the most talked-about sets of the weekend. Creamfields runs Thursday, August 26 through Sunday, August 29, 2027 at its longtime home in Daresbury, Cheshire.

Tickets for Creamfields 2027 are on sale now via creamfields.com.

Seth Troxler has stepped back in front of the camera for another round of Flirting With Friendship, the video podcast he hosts alongside longtime friend Bill Patrick. Season 2 kicked off October 13, with a guest list that includes Armin van Buuren, Chloé Caillet, Fatboy Slim, TOKiMONSTA, A-Trak, Doc Martin and Matthew Dear.

For those who caught season one, the format should feel familiar. Troxler and Patrick have known each other for two decades, and that history shows — the show leans less on polished press-run answers and more on the kind of ribbing and tangents you’d expect from two people who’ve genuinely been in the trenches together. It’s less interview, more hangout with cameras rolling.

The podcast has built a real audience doing things this way. It’s sitting at over 90,000 YouTube subscribers and has racked up close to 2.9 million views across full episodes and clips. For an electronic music podcast operating outside the usual festival-recap or gear-review formula, that’s a notable footprint.

Season one was filmed in Troxler’s parents’ living room in Ibiza, a detail that set the tone for the whole project — low-key, personal, unmistakably off the clock. Guests that first season included Róisín Murphy, Damian Lazarus and DJ Tennis, and the conversations leaned into the kind of honesty you don’t usually get from artists mid-press-cycle.

Season 2 runs 14 episodes and is produced and presented by StrataSonic. It opens with Troxler and Patrick turning the mic on themselves before Armin van Buuren joins as the first guest on October 20. The rest of the season rolls out through 2027 across YouTube, Spotify and Apple Podcasts.

Troxler’s been a fixture of house and techno for close to 20 years now, known as much for his outspoken takes on the industry as his output on labels like Visionquest and Tuskegee. Flirting With Friendship gives him a different lane — one where the conversation matters as much as the music.
