‘Where She Come From’ opens with Quavo’s hypnotic flow and ad-libs over a percussive groove that pulls on the tech house and Afro house end of HUGEL’s range rather than the Latin house he’s known for. Quavo saves his verse for the second half, with the second drop hitting harder, carried by a low rolling bassline. The production reads American more than Latin, with Murda Beatz featured on the credits.

The track is the second single for Twenty One Part 2, the next installment of HUGEL’s debut album he put out in June. After releasing ‘Temptation’ with Bryson Tiller on July 10, this marks the second rapper HUGEL is collaborating with this month.

Twenty One landed June 26 across 21 tracks, with Snoop Dogg, Big Sean, French Montana, NBA YoungBoy and Ty Dolla $ign on it. He marked the album with a listening party at Wynn Las Vegas on June 20, telling local press that Vegas has started to feel like home to him and that Make The Girls Dance was a concept he built there. He holds a Wynn Nightlife residency split between XS Nightclub and Encore Beach Club, and the Make The Girls Dance residency runs Thursdays at Hï Ibiza.

Two weeks before the album he was at Stade de France, opening for David Guetta on June 12 alongside FISHER. The label has been running its own events alongside all of it, taking the Club Space terrace for Miami Music Week on March 25 and putting on Make The Girls Dance shows in New York, Toronto and Los Angeles. He is in Boom this weekend for his Tomorrowland Weekend 2 set.

A follow-up to her massive AETERNA debut ‘Nomacita’ featuring GENESI and Carl Bee, ‘Hot Sauce’ is, certainly, a good follow-up. The track builds on a run that has seen all three artists claim seats as reference names in both digital platforms and live circuits all around the world.

The story behind the track serves as context for those who love to go behind the scenes. After connecting at Ultra Music Festival, the ideas and creative juices began flowing. ‘Hot Sauce’ quickly moved from concept to dance floor test. This translated into early versions of the track being played during sets at some of the vest venues and festivals in the world, helping refine the track thanks to the input gained from real club conditions.

Miss Monique shared:
“Nick (Afrojack) and I met at Ultra Miami last year. Later on, Nick and GLZ sent me a demo of ‘Hot Sauce’ and invited me to jump in. I instantly felt a connection with the track. We first tested it at the closing party of my Hi Ibiza residency last summer, where Nick joined me as Kapuchon. From there, everything flowed naturally all the way to the final version. It all came together in a really organic way – blending our styles into something playful, high-energy, and made for the dance floor.”

Kapuchon continues to shine as one of the fastest-growing side projects in the industry. Appearances at Coachella and back-to-backs with Shimza and Green Velvet. Support from names like Anyma, Dom Dolla, and Peggy Gou. Not a bad job at all.

‘Hot Sauce’: Spicy, strong, and tasty

On the production side, ‘Hot Sauce’ hits fast, leaves a mark, and definitely lives up to its name. Arpeggiated vocals cut through a driving groove, while sharp synth stabs and layered textures keep the energy locked in. Safely storing it, only to allow it to be released at the right time. I wrote it specifically for Lost Paradise festival as I knew I was playing sunset and wanted to strike a certain chord with the crowd.
