Young Los Angeles-based producer Chassi is bringing ‘The Fight‘ straight to ravers everywhere. However, many bass heads were already familiar with his latest tune and were dying for its release.

From start to finish, ‘The Fight’ gives you chills and fills your stomach with those pre-festival butterflies. Throughout, the EP borrows the talents of Elliot Chapman on ‘Fire & Thunder‘, Justo the MC on ‘My Own‘, and SUN for ‘I Follow Rivers’. Kicking off, Soul Curation takes a rumbling, deep, and catchy tone upon entry, taking time to build up toward a rewarding bright melodic bass chorus. Within, the intricate sonic design formulates an ardent uplifting experience. Furthermore, the energy kicks up on the driving ‘Ghost Modwheel’, packing a bass punch while retaining melodies. Taking a moment to change the pace, Justo gets control over the momentum, forming a cohesive stylistic mash between his rapping and Yawdel’s production. Finally, ‘I Follow Rivers’ alongside SUN brings all the nostalgia, being a cover of the hit by Lykke Li. Nonetheless, it retains a personalized sound through and through. Overall, what Yawdel presents on Soul Curation is an excellent introduction to the producer and their world.

For those who don’t know, this alias is the second by the artist Noah Neiman, who has many iconic tracks under his name. Eye doctor by day, yet electronic producer by night, he brings a lot of flavor by living a multi-faceted life which influences his musical directions.

Kicking off, ‘Nothing Without You‘ featuring Micah Martin takes notes from rock with the energy during the introduction. Moreover, the vocal delivery exudes a power alongside the music, acting as a great welcome to Neiman’s direction. Beyond, the bass-heavy synths and grooves bring a futuristic and driving sensation straight out of sci-fi. Wasteland then takes on the catchy pop flare on the vocals until the gritty dubstep drop. Following, Micah makes another vocal return on ‘What About Love‘, this time honing in on bass and sonic design. Finally, ‘Hermes‘ featuring Malcolm Anthony continues to showcase the producer’s diversity through rap with a trap groove and heaviness. With that in mind, whenever Neiman takes the stage under this project, he’s sure to deliver a gratifying set full of boundless energy, yet filled with ear-worm melodies and vocal performances.

Up to 3,000 people will be able to attend each night. Further details will be announced, but Circus founder Yousef suggested that the venue will be a “beautiful warehouse” with an “enormous square footage” to comply with specific requirements. A “whole team of scientists” will also be present to collect data. Venue layouts, mask-wearing, ventilation and levels of social distancing under controlled conditions are examples of variables under study.

As will almost all events, all attendees will need to provide a negative COVID-19 test prior to entry. A follow-up test will also be required after the event to track infections.

The ERP program will test other pilot events as well, including the World Snooker Championships in Sheffield and the FA Cup final at Wembley. The goal is to examine how reopening venues can be done safely as the city aims to lift social contact restrictions in June.

First off, Doctor Neiman kicks off ‘Wasteland’ with silky vocals working in tandem with the tactile synth-work and deep kick. However, even though the melodies take prominence, the drop takes a side-turn with an incendiary crunching production. Overall, the rich heaviness which cuts up the cleanliness of the verse and bridges is emphasized due to the grabbing dichotomy.

If you’re wondering where the name Doctor Neiman came from, it stems from the producer’s multi-faceted life. In this instance, he’s a real-life eye doctor, who’s dedicated much of his life since childhood to music. Beyond, this project’s debut was the track ‘Let Go‘ with Strocksu and Jenny Chapin which released on Excision‘s Subsidia label.

Franky Nuts x Chime x The Arcturians – Ambition

Franky Nuts, Chime, and The Arcturians come together for the release of ‘Ambition‘. The track is now hosted on Circus Records, an independent record label founded by Flux Pavilion and Doctor P.

The track shows prowess from the start with the snares rolling into a deep and vibrant bass. In tandem, the kicks and snappy snare amplify the weight of the track alongside the vocal hums. Flowing into the verse, an arpeggio equal with white noise break the rhythm bringing in the vocals. The vocals have a low tonality and smooth texture melding with the energy of ‘Ambition’ very well. Heading into the bridge, pads drive the vocals into the riser falling into a pulled back drop. In an interesting manner, it takes the power built and gives it a melodic value. This only allows it to build up again into a more hard-hitting and dubstep-centric theme. From there, the song stays loyal to its start making sure to add nuances as it progresses.

Flux Pavilion returns to his own label, Circus Records, with ‘Saviour’ featuring CRaymack and Tasha Baxter. The song traces last year’s ‘Symphony’ with Layna which was a highlight on the ‘Earwax Compilation.’ ‘Saviour’ is produced in tandem with CRaymack, another Circus up and comer, and winner of last year’s best electronic single at the East Coast Music Awards. In addition, Tasha Baxter lends her talents on vocals. Previously, Baxter collaborated with the likes of Au5 and Icicle.

The track is an elegant combination of groovy bass, poppy vocals, arpeggios, and infectious rhythm. It manages to achieve sonic balance between club and radio play. The song finds itself on Circus which was founded by Flux alongside Doctor P, Simon Swan, and Earl Falconer. The label houses a plethora of talented producers such as Cookie Monsta, FuntCase, Growlz, DMVU, DISKORD, and many more.

Rusko – Hot

Is it hot in here or is it just Rusko? The dubstep legend is back in full force with his new single entitled ‘Hot’.

The down-tempo track will fulfill your need for wobbles and dirty melodies with that throwback UK vibe that helped crown Rusko as the king of dubstep. Accentuating with some flickering electro synth work, this is one song you will definitely be bobbing your head to.

Rusko returns with ‘Hot’ and his comeback tour after sadly announcing last year that he had gastric lymphoma. After being diagnosed with the form of stomach cancer, he canceled all upcoming shows to undergo treatment. Thankfully for both him and his fans, his treatment and recovery were swift.

He has wasted no time for his comeback. Returning to the stage at Wobbleland recently, he’s also now consistently pushing out new music. ‘Hot’ is just one of the offerings off his forthcoming EP to be released on Flux Pavilion’s label Circus Records. Rusko will releasing the 5-track EP in the near future so definitely keep your eyes and ears peeled for that.

Pierce has been on the rise for the past two years. Starting with some floor-smashing free releases which lead to releases off of some bigger labels, 2018 is already looking up for this young guy from Scottsdale. His latest release comes from Doctor P.’s label Circus, and it features the vocals of Snowy.

‘Solar Eclipse’ is a bass-driven monster with all the low-end rumble you’re craving. This track has all of the energy and momentum of a heavy dubstep track, and Snowy’s vocals over the top give it the swagger of an old school UK grime record. The uptempo rap keeps the energy rolling through the breakdown and verse sections, all leading up to the drop. Pierce’s keen edge on sound design really shines through on during these sections, as the bass sequences whirl and stab over thundering halftime percussions. Check out the track below!

Dutch duo Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano have teamed up with Canadian producer Ariyan to create a new club-rocking song titled, “Circus.” Following their hit, “Sound of the Underground,” the Dutchmen continue to produce excellent rhythmic beats in “Circus,” with their signature percussive sound. While Ariyan may be just be getting his name out there, working with artists like SJ & RM is surely a testament to his producing capabilities. “Circus” is now out on Beatport under Tiesto’s label Musical Freedom.
