Kicking off Memorial Day Weekend, LIV Las Vegas at Fontainebleau is heating up for the summer. If you’re still in Vegas following EDC, you won’t want to miss this stacked weekend at Vegas’s premier nightclub. Located conveniently on the Las Vegas Strip, across from Circus Circus, LIV features a nightclub as well as the LIV Beach poolside day club experience.

After opening its doors in December 2023, the club welcomed John Summit as the first resident DJ. He is still currently, as well as Tiësto, Metro Boomin’, Party Favor, James Kennedy, Dom Dolla, and most recently Calvin Harris.

The star-studded Memorial Day Weekend lineup begins Friday, May 24th with Dom Dolla (day) and Metro Boomin’ (night). Saturday the 25th features Tiësto (day) and John Summit (night). Closing out the weekend on Sunday, May 26th will be John Summit (day) and Calvin Harris (night).

As EDC weekend takes off, the party isn’t stopping at the festival. LIV LV will welcome Said the Sky, William Black, Swae Lee and Trivecta throughout the weekend. James Kennedy and Busta Rhymes will also be up to the decks this coming weekend on Saturday, May 18th.

If there’s anything that you can look forward to in Vegas during EDC weekend other than the festival itself, the beach club parties and nightclub lineups are an excellent highlight, especially at LIV Las Vegas.

Funky R&B electric tracks are ‘Obsessed‘, ‘Ready Or Not‘, ‘Somebody Else‘, ‘New To You‘ featuring Tinashe, Normani, and Offset, and ‘Nothing More To Say‘. Plus, Snoop Dogg and Latto even make an appearance with ‘Live My Best Life‘. Swae Lee gets down on ‘Lean On Me‘ and Pusha T collabs with Pharrell on ‘Day One‘. And if that wasn’t enough, Timberlake jumps in on the Halsey/Pharrell action with ‘Stay With Me‘. Some tracks carry the groove and others have a slowed-down tempo. You kind of get an 88rising vibe to the mix, where the low-pitched vocals keep things big chilling and smooth.

This marks the sixth studio album for Calvin since his return to music. His discography dates all the way back to 2007 with ‘I Created Disco’. Not to mention his all-time iconic electronic albums Ready For The Weekend, 18 Months, and Motion. Thinking back to those times when music really captured your energy and made you move. As funk evolved from the soul, jazz, and R&B scenes in the mid-1960s, we’re getting an homage to it today. Those steady, syncopated bass lines, infectious drum grooves, and soulful vocals just hit the spot.

Destructo and Troyboi – Fucking Shit Up Remixes

The infamous Gary Richards, also known as Destructo, has a reputation for leaping across genres in with his creative talents. This reputation recently led to ‘Fucking Shit Up,’ his collaboration with mainstream hip-hop sensation Busta Rhymes. Eight months after the original track, Destructo’s label All My Friends is releasing a set of remixes. Featuring a trap remix by Troyboi and Destructo’s “4 On The Floor Rework,” you definitely don’t want to sleep on these tracks.

Troyboi’s take on ‘Fucking Shit Up’ hits all the right notes, avoiding the angry, negative energy that comes with some trap music. Chopped samples and vocal stabs, broken beats and the steady rap laid down by Busta Rhymes all lend to the authentic sound of the track. Perfect for a hip-hop or EDM club, Troyboi really displays his talent with this remix.

Destructo, on the other hand, gives his original track a “4 on the Floor Rework” the brings ‘Fucking Shit Up’ a few steps deeper. The AMF label boss gives the track a vibe reminiscent of the London Underground. With garage and progressive elements similar to producers like Low Steppa, Destructo’s ability to create great music in any genre is apparent.

Make sure you give the tracks a listen. Both remixes are available to stream below, or you can purchase them on Beatport. Leave us a comment and let us know which new take on ‘Fucking Shit Up’ is your favorite. And if you’re on the maiden voyage of Friendship, you can expect to hear both these tracks on board!

Destructo feat Busta Rhymes – Fucking Shit Up

Gary Richards has been a very busy man ever since his departure from Live Nation and his festivals HOLY SHIP and Hard Summer last summer. A short while later he accepted an offer from EDM firm LiveStyle as president of LiveStyle North America. In addition to working on a brand new festival titled All My Friends Music Festival which is set to take place in Los Angeles on August 18th and 19th this year, he has also maintained a heavy touring schedule as Destructo and even found time for the studio to create new tracks.

Today, we bring you his brand new song with Busta Rhymes who he linked up for a summer anthem titled “Fucking Shit Up.” This record is something that we completely expect from Destructo’s usual G-House and bass heavy house music. It’s more of a straight up hip-hop banger, check it out below and make sure to check out his brand new festival!

The new lineup, which was curated by fans, left The Festive Owl with a salty taste in their mouth.

The Festive Owl has every right to this reaction since the amount of electronic music is lacking. That being said, Firefly is showing off the talent in other genres a bit more this year. It’s not necessarily a bad move. Past lineups have showcased incredible electronic acts. The festival likes to stay diversified and that’s a value we can all appreciate.

Cash Cash – Devil feat. Busta Rhymes, B.o.B & Neon Hitch

Internationally-acclaimed New York based trio Cash Cash has been making some noise all over the airwaves and garnered some serious attention after the success of their hit singles ‘Surrender’ and ‘Take Me Home’. They are set to go on a huge fall tour with good friends Tritonal throughout North America with support from Party Favor, Gladiator and Yogi. Before heading out for the tour, the Cash Cash boys are debuting their brand new single, ‘Devil‘, featuring superstar hip-hop artists Busta Rhymes and B.o.B as well as vocalist Neon Hitch.

‘Devil’ goes away from the usual norm you expect from Cash Cash, as they create a grimey hip-hop tune. The irresistible hook by Neon Hitch gives the perfect complement to the hard hitting rap verses. This will surely be a fan favorite over the course of their tour.

Cash Cash’s ‘Devil’ is available now for purchase on iTunes and be sure to score tickets for their fall tour, as it will be a show you won’t want to miss.
