Karma Fields – Sweat (Remixes)

It’s the weekend. It’s Halloween. It’s time to get weird and now you have just the right playlist for it. Up and coming producer Karma Fields just dropped off a very interesting track titled, “Sweat”. And it’s highly likely that’s what this tune will make you do, because not only do we have the original, but we were gifted with two additional remixes for it as well.

The bonus remixes are provided by none other than the Bixel Boys and Soulji and if you thought the original is crazy, just hit play and see what these two bring! If you’re not familiar with Karma Fields, it is highly suggested that you fix that. Not only a good producer, his live stage setup known as, “The Hex” is something out of this world and unparalleled. If you get the opportunity to see him live, don’t miss out and definitely don’t skip over this latest track, that’ll make you sweat.

Yes! We don’t have to wait until spring for an OWSLA compilation. The last one was released in March and it was the result of some of the biggest hits of 2015, namely Valentino Khan’s “Deep Down Low,” Torro Torro’s “Make A Move,” and the Skrillex remix for Ragga Twins’ “Bad Man.” In less than 9 days, OWSLA will drop Worldwide Broadcast. The 16-track compilation LP will feature the creator of the label, Skrillex and his long-awaited collaboration with MUST DIE!, as well as his remix to GTA’s “Red Lips” and a new tune titled “Pretty Bye Bye”. Other collaborations include Getter & Ghastly, San Holo & Yellow Claw and Bixel Boys & Poupon. Sonny’s best buds and/or label mates Wiwek, Mija and Alvin Risk will also make the cut.

Bixel Boys & Poupon will front the release of Worldwide Broadcast with a fashion-forward music video for their latest single “Ain’t Your Girl.” The video glorifies street dance and violence; and teams up #FREELIFE clothing with Dimepiece LA for some badass threads.

Worldwide Broadcast will be released on January 29th and for more information, you can head over to the OWSLA website. Check out the video for “Ain’t Your Girl” below!

The release of Bixel Boys‘ new song “Ain’t Your Girl” feat. Poupon doubles as the duo’s debut on Skrillex’s record label OWSLA as well as the anthem of LA-based clothing company Dimepiece. In addition to a new clothing line between the three entities, OWSLA has just announced that it will release a new compilation, Worldwide Broadcast. The 16 track album will be out January 29th and will include songs from the label owner himself as well as various artists under his wing.

Though it has been a while since Bixel Boys released new music, the wait was well worth it. “Ain’t Your Girl” is jam-packed with entrancing vocals and a hard-hitting sub-bass that goes deep down low. Accompanying the song is a dark music video that has more to prove than just bone twisting and sick dance moves. Lia Kim stars as the main heroine of a story that seems to represent the struggle of freedom in North Korea.

Tickets

It’s no secret that the guys put on one of the best shows on the planet, but the Dada Land Compound is not your average Dada Life performance. With shenanigans such as record-breaking pillow fights, champagne showers and giant inflatable bananas, Olle and Stefan tend to pull out all the stops for these special occasions. Thankfully, Dada Life has been taking their Compound concept across North America and with Miami Music Week less than a week away, it comes as no surprise that they will be bringing it to South Beach.

For those of you looking to get ugly on Saturday, March 28th, the Swedish duo will be hosting a Dada Land Compound event at Mana Wynwood and they are bringing some talented friends along with them. Morgan Page, Andybody, LOUDPVCK, Bixel Boys, Tritonal, Henry Fong and some special surprise guests will help keep the party going until 6am, making this the perfect affair for Ultra attendees that are seeking a little late night fun. It’s also worth noting that the show is one of the many events included with the Brabble ‘F*ck You All Access Band’, so you would be foolish not to score yours today.

If you’re feeling lucky, enter the contest below for your chance to attend the Dada Land Compound during Miami Music Week.

Elliphant – Never Been In Love (Bixel Edition)

The #FREELIFE boys are back from a three month long stint in their studio-cacoon, and their emergence has revealed quite the metamorphosis. Ian and Rob, better known to you and I as the Bixel Boys, have been building a brand with their black n’ white-centeric aesthetics for some time now. With sports driven themes and collaborative projects in the fashion world (i.e. Youth Machine), the duo have grown a passionate and loyal fan-base; they’ve essentially drafted an all-star team of both fellow producers and fans, and its a force to reckoned with. They must’ve recognized this force, because they’ve turned their attention to the themes of civil unrest and revolt, and it’s bled into their music in an impressively profound way.

The Bixel Boys have cooked up quite the little dirty bomb in their studio, with a sonorous remix of Elliphant’s ‘Never Been In Love’. The rebellious Swedish singer made the original with plenty of triumphant vibes and raw emotion, but it’s come out of #FREELIFE operating room with some serious bite. Gone are the folksy guitar strums and organic percussion base, as they’ve been replaced with a sawtoothed synths, power chord electric guitar, and a bassline that pulsates with the fervor of a riotous crowd. The vocal filtering and isolation add to the gritty atmosphere as well; this track is a true rager, through and through.

The #FREELIFE movement has been all about feeling comfortable with yourself, and owning who you are as an individual, since the beginning. Now that the individuals of the movement have been massed together, things can be taken to the next level. If you’ve kept up with their Facebook, and other social networks, you’ll have noticed this shift slowly occurring. Something big is gonna happen with these guys this year.

“We’ve been waiting a while to share this with you. Over the last year we’ve learned a lot, a lot about music, about touring, about clothing etc . . . but most importantly we learned about ourselves. It took that grinding and sharpening to realize who we are as creatives. This is the beginning. Thank you to Elliphant for the opportunity and helping us find ourselves. 2015 Change Everything. ‪#‎FREELIFE‬“

2015 is seeing massive shifts occur in industry, from the movement away from “EDM” to future and deep house, to the way festivals are run, waves are being made. The Bixel Boys have been operating in the background for some time now, and it looks like they’re here to turn to scene on its head this year. We dunno about you guys, but this is damned exciting. Check out the track above, and stay tuned for the availability of the free download.

Last year, DreamVille became the home of 40,000 festival attendees per night, over the course of the massive three day fest in Chattahoochee Hills, Georgia. The massive campground is spread across hundreds of acres of land flanked by lakes and nestled in the rolling hills of Georgia to create a mystical aura surrounding the grounds. Over the duration of the festival, DreamVille is also home to dozens of shops and food vendors for the festival attendees, in addition to being home to The Marketplace, where campers can access a bakery, salon, and many other amenities. Morning activities in DreamVille include yoga and workout classes in the campgrounds – perfect to help loosen up after a long day at TomorrowWorld. Campers have the option to bring their own tents, or choose from a plethora of other camping options, including Easy Tents – which are already sold out for 2015 – and Dream Lodging. Campers who make it down a day early to DreamVille participate in the annual “Gathering”, a welcoming party which featured the likes of Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, DVBBS, and Bixel Boys.

This year, TomorrowWorld will be taking place September 25-27, and DreamVille has sold out in 2013 and 2014, so don’t sleep on securing your spot. Tier 1 prices are already 85% sold out – reserve your DreamVille camping spot now. Potential festival-goers can even check out the campgrounds beforehand with the 360-degree virtual tour.

Le Youth – Real (Bixel Boys Remix)

Bixel Boys, the duo from LA, had quite the year in 2014. They successfully drilled the music side of the business; releasing a slew of originals and remixes along with a few quality mixtapes while launching their #FREELIFE clothing line in which amongst other powerhouses, Martin Garrix, Diplo and Skrillex were caught wearing the flashy jerseys.

The original ‘REAL’, an indie dance thriller with some truly addictive lyrics is given the heavy remix treatment. Unaltering the samples used from Brandy’s “I Wanna Be Down”, a club track has been born. Entering with an extreme presence is the kick drum and engaging inaudible vowel hooks followed up with an on the cusp deep house/electro melodic breakdown. With this being their first offering of 2015 and their track record dating back to 2013 being any indication on their future success, their tour schedule starting off the 2015 calendar will smash any doubters. You can catch them at Coachella, CRSSD, WMC or on tour with Dada Life for starters.

There is no denying that mixes are becoming one of the most popular ways to listen to songs in the dance music community. Whether your poison is live sets, podcasts or radio shows, knowing that your favorite DJs have handpicked the tracks that you’re listening to is one satisfying feeling. Thanks to The Future FM, all of these fantastic mixes can be found in one place, allowing listeners to choose from a variety of artists, genres and lengths to best suit their current mood.

Pierce Fulton

To kick things off, we have a mix coming from one of the hottest young guns in electronic music. Pierce Fulton shows us that his productions, like his latest work ‘Kuaga‘, are not the only thing that deserve attention, as this mix featuring the likes of Arty, DJ Snake and Dyro will leave you begging for more.

SNAILS

It was only 4 short months ago that we included him on our list of ‘13 Canadian Producers You Need to Familiarize Yourself With‘ and ever since then, the sky has been the limit for SNAILS. To celebrate his first time touring America, SNAILS presented us with this mix that features a bunch of exclusives as well as a few remixes of his hit song ‘Wild‘.

Bixel Boys

Now that we have reached the halfway point of the list, we figured there was no better time to present you with a chill mix from none other than Bixel Boys. The Los Angeles duo’s fresh sound (and clothing) is currently taking the industry by storm and this mix will show you why the underground is back and better than ever.

Milo & Otis

Next is a genre-defying mix that will keep listeners on the edge of their seats courtesy of Milo & Otis. Their ‘Artists of Tomorrow’ mix features electro, trap, big room and hip-hop songs from some of the biggest names in the game and they guys intertwine them in a way that makes you feel like you are right there at one of their shows. No wonder Skrillex and Kill The Noise chose to bring them on tour with them.

Wax Motif

Last, but certainly not least, we have a mix from Tommy Trash’s current tour buddy Wax Motif. The two have collaborated on their upcoming track ‘Hex‘, but with a little help from fellow ‘Trashed Tour‘ artist Henry Fong, the trio created a mix that will give listeners a little taste of what their show is like. With tracks from the likes of Knife Party, Tchami and Alex Metric, this mix features a little something for everyone.
