Galantis – Rich Boy (Zack Martino Remix)

After releasing a solid official remix of ‘Paris‘ by The Chainsmokers that has been getting some major radio play, Zack Martino serves up another one of his personal renditions for us. This time, Zack takes on the light-hearted progressive house track ‘Rich Boy‘ by Galantis, which was released earlier this year.

Galantis would be impressed with the number Zack Martino did on their track. No disrespect, but Martino may have actually improved the track. Zack’s remix incorporates an awesome drop along with chop and screwed vocals that were done to perfection.

The festival is the second step Gorillaz have taken to getting the iconic group back together. Earlier this year the British group released the first single from their upcoming album. “Hallejuah Money” is an electronic track featuring a subtle, soul filled instrumental. Benjamin Clementine is the vocalist and his voice brings a deep, old-fashioned blues sound to the song. Check out the video below.

Demon Dayz Festival will take place June 10th at Dreamland Amusement Park in Margate, England. All rides will be open to festival goers to add to the excitement that has begun building up for the festival. Tickets go on sale March 10th at 9AM local time.

ZHU added his own element to the scorching hot track by adding in a funky deep bassline filled with precisely placed percussion hits and trap-like sounding breaks. ZHU kept the well-known and catchy chorus, but turned down the frequencies giving the vocals a more ominous feel. As festival season approaches, keep your eye out for more remixes of chart topping tracks to come.

It’s not too often that an iconic artist of any industry hosts a contest that can take an undiscovered talent from the cluttered dungeons of SoundCloud and put them right in the middle of the dance music industry. deadmau5 is giving artists this chance. It’s been a while since Joel hosted a contest of this fashion. The last remix contest was for his single “Some Chords” and producer Andrei Stephen took home the grand prize.

The latest contest is for Joel’s single “Let Go” featuring Grabbitz, which is possibly the most popular track from his last album W:/2016ALBUM. The stems for “Let Go” can be found on Splice, a subscription-based sound library.

Kaytranada Remixes Chance The Rapper’s “All Night” & Solange’s “Cranes In The Sky”

A few months after Kaytranada’s release of his award winning album, 99.9%, the artist has shared what he has been working on in his spare time: two dope remixes, one of R&B singer Solange’s “Cranes In The Sky” and another a song off Chance The Rapper’s mixtape, Coloring Book. He reworked both “Cranes In The Sky” and “All Night” into full on dance music tracks, while managing to feature parts from the original tracks as well.

The remix of Solange‘s chart topping single “Cranes In The Sky” is a masterpiece. The reworked drums are more upbeat in the remix and the track gives the R&B single more of a dance style feel to it. But this doesn’t mean that the emotion of the original version was lost – Kaytranada retained the original soul of the track by including a number of the original layers like the piano during the chorus and the heavy ambiance in the background.

The remix of “Cranes In The Sky” was followed up shortly after with an “extended joint” of a song he produced for Chance The Rapper’s mixtape, Coloring Book. Kaytranada’s remix is one of the more successful tracks on Chance’s mixtape, titled “All Night”. “All Night” features vocalist Fort Knox on the chorus. Kaytranda was able to keep a lot of the sounds from the original version. Like his “Cranes In The Sky” remix, they appear during the chorus. The rest of the track has the same bouncy, dance music groove to it.

The 2016 edition of EDC Orlando is set to take place on Friday, November 4th and Saturday, November 5th, at its usual location, Tinker Field. The event lineup has been out for quite some time now and features names familiar from the other concerts in the Electric Daisy Carnival festival series like Above and Beyond, Axwell, Bassnectar, Chocolate Puma, Hardwell, Jauz, Porter Robinson, RL Grime and more. On top of the big-name artists, Insomniac is also featuring local artists each day of the event – a great way for these smaller artists to gain a large amount of exposure in one area.

Earlier this week Insomniac released the daily lineups for the events. Friday will feature performances by Above and Beyond, The Chainsmokers, Borgeous, Cosmic Gate, Ephwurd, W&W, Yellow Claw, and more. The local acts for Friday are Edgar V and Sean Drake. Saturday features DJs including Allison Wonderland, Axwell, Bassnectar, Dash Berlin, Don Diablo, Hardwell, Jauz, Mark Knight B2B Chus & Ceballos, Porter Robinson and RL Grime with local acts Carlos Mendoza and Jose Estrada performing as well.

It’s safe to say that both days of EDC Orlando are stacked to the gills with talent. Both feature older artists and artists that just recently have blown up in the dance music scene. Comment below and let us know which day you think is better!

No Mana – Game Over EP

No Mana has become a ruler of the underground. After signing to deadmau5’s record label Mau5trap, No Mana has been consistently releasing tracks that are filled with long chords, heavy subs and grinding synths. Each track is its own journey, taking you through ups and downs, through suspenseful breaks and energy releasing drops. September 2nd, No Mana released a new EP titled, Game Over. This is his first official studio EP.

The Game Over EP consists of 6 tracks and they include features from Jessica Ess, Cafcat and Fader Lima. The EP only includes one collaboration with Zashanell.

My top three tracks on this EP were extremely hard to pick, but if I had to pick three, I would put them in this order (favorite being number 1):

3. Tell Me More (Ft. Jessica Ess)

Lunatic Tour: Malaa & REZZ

Listen up! The unidentified artist, Malaa, is going to join forces with the bass queen, REZZ, to embark on a tour in October. The Lunatic Tour kicks off October 13th at the UC Center in Berkley, CA. Then, the tour will proceed to make 9 other stops, including major cities like Los Angeles, Washington D.C., Chicago, and New York. Malaa and REZZ are two of the hottest producers in the game. Expect the floor to shaking (I’m not exaggerating) as soon as you step into the venue because these two bring the bass. Although Beiebr’s limitless popularity and phenomenal vocal ability to help make every song he’s on a worldwide hit, DJ Snake has also built a good career for himself. Snake’s latest album, Encore, is currently number 8 on Billboard’s Top 200 chart. Snake’s single with Justin Beiber, “Let Me Love You”, sold 113,000 copies in its first week, allowing DJ Snake to finally capture the elusive number 1 spot on the Digital Song sales chart. This is Beiber’s sixth time reaching this spot.

The impressive ranking for “Let Me Love You” don’t stop at the top of the Digital Song sales chart. The single has also reached the number 12 spot on Billboard’s Hot 100.

Congratulations to DJ Snake on achieving a career milestone; hopefully there are more to come.

GRiZ – Before I Go ft. Leo Napier

One of the many reasons I love Griz’s  music is because of how unique it is. Every track he releases sounds like nothing else out there, and he just keeps doing it consistently. A huge part of what makes him unique is the live aspect in which he produces his tracks, including himself on the saxophone and the guitar work of his pal Muzzy Bearr who you’ll see in most of Griz’s live performances. There’s a different flow, a different feeling to them.

His latest track “Before I Go” features vocals from Leo Napier and carries the same funky vibes that we are used to from this prolific artist. Leo adds an extra element to this already smooth track. His voice brings an intense soul feeling that fits the jazzy instrumental so well. “Before I Go” is out now on All Good Records and can be purchased here and streamed on Spotify.
