Armin van Buuren and Andrew Bayer team up on ‘Serendipity’, a melodic, vocal-driven track released as part of A State of Trance 2026. The compilation celebrates 25 years of the ASOT brand, with ‘Serendipity’ arriving a day early to set the tone ahead of the full release. Listen here.

The track keeps things simple and effective. It’s built around a warm, uplifting sound that blends both artists’ styles—Bayer’s melodic detail with van Buuren’s more direct, mainstage structure. The result is polished and easy to connect with, without trying to do too much.

Written by Toby Gad and featuring vocals from Delilah Montagu, ‘Serendipity’ leans heavily on its vocal storytelling. The songwriting gives it an emotional core, while the production builds it into something that works just as well on a festival stage as it does on streaming playlists.

This collaboration has been a long time coming. The two have crossed paths for years within the trance and melodic scene, even if they haven’t released much together until now. Bayer, known for his work with Anjunabeats and alongside Above & Beyond, has played a big role in shaping the modern melodic sound. Van Buuren, through ASOT and Armada Music, has remained one of the genre’s central figures.

‘Serendipity’ reflects that shared space. It doesn’t push either artist too far in a new direction—instead, it focuses on what they already do well: melody, emotion, and clarity.

Within the A State of Trance 2026 compilation, the track works as an early highlight. It sets a consistent tone for the project—melodic, accessible, and built for both radio and the dancefloor.

‘Without You’ brings GRYFFIN, AVELLO, and Sasha Alex Sloan together in a track that sits between melodic songwriting and large-scale electronic production. Listen here.

It starts simply. Guitar-led verses and Sasha Alex Sloan’s vocal carry the opening, a combination that nods to GRYFFIN’s roots as a guitarist while setting a more intimate tone. From there, the track gradually expands. GRYFFIN and AVELLO build it upward with layered percussion and widening synths, moving from stripped-back moments into fuller, more anthemic sections. The structure is familiar but effective—quiet verses, rising tension, and a clear emotional payoff. Themes of hope and connection run throughout, with each shift in the production reinforcing that progression rather than overpowering it.

The collaboration also reflects an ongoing pattern in GRYFFIN’s recent work. AVELLO previously appeared through a remix of ‘Higher Power’ and as support during a show at The Concourse Project earlier in the year. ‘Without You’ builds on that relationship, moving from early exposure into a more direct studio collaboration.

That same approach carries into his work with vocalists. Artists like Sasha Alex Sloan are brought into projects with a clear purpose—songs that translate cleanly from streaming to live performance. It’s a practical balance between songwriting and set design, keeping tracks functional in both contexts.

The Rising Star remix of ‘Sun Shines On Me’ lands after months of quiet buildup in sets by Armin van Buuren. What started as a live favorite has gradually turned into one of the more anticipated trance releases of the year, shaped as much by crowd reaction as by studio intent. Listen here.

At its core, the remix does exactly what you’d expect from the Rising Star alias. It takes the original’s vocal-led structure and reframes it for the dancefloor—cleaner builds, brighter melodies, and a stronger sense of forward motion. The emotional tone remains intact, but the energy is dialed up, making it a natural fit for peak-time moments.

The original ‘Sun Shines On Me’, a collaboration between Armin van Buuren and Glockenbach, was released in early 2026 via Armada Music. It leaned toward a more crossover electronic sound, blending trance elements with a polished, radio-friendly approach. Built around warm synths and an introspective vocal, the track struck a balance between accessibility and emotional depth.

That broader appeal is part of why the track worked so well—but it also left room for a more club-focused reinterpretation. The Rising Star remix fills that gap. By increasing the tempo and leaning into classic uplifting trance elements, it brings the track closer to the sound longtime fans associate with van Buuren’s roots.

In that sense, this remix feels less like an add-on and more like a second form of the same idea. The original version introduced the track to a wide audience; the Rising Star version brings it back to the dancefloor.

The children’s music-industrial complex just got a glow-up—or maybe a glow stick. DJ and producer Lenny Pearce, best known for turning nursery rhymes into surprisingly legit club tracks. He has signed a development deal with Disney that essentially answers the question no one asked but everyone will now have to live with: what if your toddler’s playlist slapped harder than yours? The partnership includes a forthcoming album, Disney Jr. Music: Lenny Pearce Toddler Techno. It features remixes of familiar Disney Jr. songs—because apparently “The Wheels on the Bus” just needed a bass drop.

Pearce’s rise to this moment is about as 2020s as it gets. What started as at-home edits for his kid turned into viral clips, then into full-blown “baby rave” events where parents and toddlers coexist in a shared, mildly surreal dancefloor experience. Think less Berghain, more stroller parking. He structures his shows like full DJ sets, adapted for shorter attention spans and safer sound levels. Basically Coachella, but with juice boxes instead of $18 cocktails. The Disney deal builds on that momentum, expanding his “toddler techno” concept into not just music releases but also animated content and potentially Disney+ programming.

From a business standpoint, it’s a logical move. Disney owns a deep catalog of songs kids recognize, and Pearce actively engages both children and the adults who—lovingly—listen along. It’s synergy, but with more glitter and fewer quarterly earnings calls. It’s still unclear whether this marks the start of a broader wave of kid‑focused EDM or simply reflects one very committed dad armed with a controller. Either way, if you hear a drop coming from a minivan at a red light, don’t be alarmed—it’s probably just the next generation discovering techno before they can tie their shoes.

Max Styler returns to his role as curator with Nexus 002, the latest compilation released via his Nu Moda label. Framed as an exploration of the evolving edges of house music, the series continues to bridge styles across tech house, indie dance, and adjacent club sounds. This second installment arrives as a concise, seven-track package built for peak-time play, featuring contributions from a range of emerging and fast-rising producers including Nico Rac, Knorst, Andrew Meller, Rem Siman, Jonathan, and PETEL & MADI. Listen here.

At the forefront of the release is Brazil-born, London-based producer Greggio, whose rapid ascent over the past two years has positioned him as a name to watch among global tastemakers. His contribution, ‘Attack,’ sets the tone for the compilation with a direct, no-frills approach to tech house. The track leans into a persistent forward drive, pairing aggressive rap vocal loops with a darker rhythmic framework. A contrasting breakdown introduces more melodic, female-led vocal elements before dropping back into a tightly engineered groove built on rolling basslines, sharp percussion, and kinetic triplet patterns.

Greggio’s inclusion reflects both his current momentum and his growing influence within the scene. His productions have already found support from a wide spectrum of high-profile DJs, and his performance schedule spans major international venues and festivals. Alongside his touring, he has also been developing his own event brand, ORGANIC, in London—further signaling a broader creative vision beyond the studio.

With Nexus 002, Styler continues to position Nu Moda as a platform that prioritizes both functionality and forward-thinking curation. The compilation doesn’t aim to reinvent the genre, but rather to highlight where it’s moving—spotlighting artists who are shaping club music in real time.

The release of ‘Like A Child’ marks the first collaboration between Armin van Buuren and ARGY, bringing together two distinct styles within electronic music. The track had already generated notable anticipation prior to its official release, having been tested live at major events including Ultra Music Festival, Electric Daisy Carnival, and A State of Trance, as well as club performances at Ushuaïa Dubai and Resistance Miami. These early plays helped establish familiarity with audiences before the track reached streaming platforms. Listen here.

Musically, ‘Like A Child’ blends Armin van Buuren’s melodic, mainstage-oriented approach with ARGY’s darker, more driving production style. The result is a track that balances atmosphere and intensity, shifting between emotive breakdowns and high-energy drops suited for large festival settings. This combination reflects a broader trend in electronic music, where melodic and techno-influenced elements increasingly overlap in mainstream releases.

Vocals from Marlo Rex provide an additional layer of depth, introducing a nostalgic and introspective tone that contrasts with the track’s peak-time energy. The vocal performance anchors the composition, giving it a recognizable emotional core while maintaining its functionality as a dancefloor record. As a first collaboration between the artists, ‘Like A Child’ highlights a convergence of styles that may inform future crossover releases within the genre.

One of the most influential characters in the world of technology, Tim Cook, announced the end of a chapter, as he will step down as CEO of Apple. This news marks the end of a significant era for one of the world’s most influential companies. Cook, who has led Apple since 2011 following Steve Jobs, is set to transition into the role of executive chairman on September 1, 2026. His successor, John Ternus, currently the company’s head of hardware engineering, will assume the CEO position as part of a long-planned leadership transition.

Cook’s tenure is defined by operational excellence and massive financial growth rather than the product mystique associated with his predecessor. Under his leadership, Apple expanded from a company valued at roughly $350 billion into a business worth over $4 trillion, while significantly growing its services segment and launching products such as the Apple Watch and AirPods. At the same time, his era included notable challenges, including criticism over slower innovation cycles and the company’s perceived lag in emerging areas like artificial intelligence.

Ternus steps into the role with deep institutional knowledge, having spent more than two decades at Apple working on core hardware products like the iPhone, Mac, and iPad. His appointment signals continuity in leadership style, but also raises questions about how Apple will navigate its next phase, particularly as competition intensifies in AI and new computing platforms. While Cook remains involved as chairman, the transition underscores a broader shift: Apple is moving from a period of scale and optimization into one where future growth may depend on its ability to redefine innovation once again.

Electronic music producer Subtronics has released his latest single, ‘Eyes Cut Deeper,’ a collaboration with German contemporary vocalist Inéz. The track arrives following weeks of online anticipation and a high-profile live debut at Coachella.

‘Eyes Cut Deeper’ represents a noticeable shift in Subtronics’ sound. Known for his aggressive, bass-forward production style, he leans into a more melodic and cinematic approach here, pairing layered sound design with Inéz’s emotive vocal performance. The result blends introspective storytelling with the scale and energy expected from major festival releases. Listen here.

The single builds on the momentum of Subtronics’ sold-out FIBONACCI Tour, which ran from January through March in support of his most recent album. Early fan reactions to the track have highlighted its depth and tonal contrast compared to his previous work, helping drive conversation across social platforms ahead of its official release.

That momentum carried into Coachella 2026, where Subtronics made his debut on the Sahara Stage during the festival’s first weekend. Performing to an overflow crowd, the set marked a significant step in his trajectory, expanding his reach beyond core electronic audiences. The performance featured a revamped visual identity centered around his Cyclops Recordings brand, along with multiple guest appearances.

During the set, Subtronics debuted ‘Eyes Cut Deeper’ live alongside Inéz. Additional surprise appearances included collaborators performing unreleased material, further amplifying the moment’s impact and signaling a broader creative direction.

Subtronics is scheduled to return to the Sahara Stage this Sunday, April 19 at 9:05 PM for Coachella’s second weekend, where the track is expected to remain a focal point of his set.

Released in the immediate aftermath of his Coachella debut, ‘Eyes Cut Deeper’ arrives at a pivotal moment, positioned to reach a significantly expanded global audience as festival season continues.

Solomun +1 is set to return to Pacha Ibiza this summer for its 12th consecutive season, with organizers confirming a full lineup that spans established names and first-time collaborators. The long-running Sunday night residency will open on May 31 and continue through October 4, marking 14 years since its inception.

Over more than a decade, Solomun +1 has established itself as one of Ibiza’s most consistent and in-demand weekly events. Built around a simple format—one headliner and one guest per night—the residency has become a fixture for both returning visitors and first-time attendees planning trips around its schedule. Tickets here.

This year’s lineup reflects a wide range of electronic music talent. Returning artists include Skrillex, Jamie xx, and Anyma, while Idris Elba is slated for a special guest appearance. The season also introduces several debut acts to the +1 format, including KETTAMA, DESIREE, and Max Styler. They join a group of returning contributors such as Âme, Dixon, Denis Sulta, Chloé Caillet, and DJ Gigola, all of whom have played a role in shaping the residency’s identity over the years.

As in previous seasons, Solomun will open and close the residency, in addition to performing multiple all-night-long sets throughout the summer. These extended performances remain some of the most sought-after dates on the calendar, offering a more immersive experience built around his programming and pacing.

Since launching in 2013, Solomun +1 has developed a distinct presence within Pacha Ibiza, one of the island’s most iconic venues. The residency has grown alongside the club itself, maintaining a consistent format while evolving musically with each season.

Earlier this year, Solomun hosted two sold-out shows at Alexandra Palace in February, setting the tone for the months ahead. With those performances concluded, attention now shifts fully to Ibiza, where the residency will once again anchor Sunday nights throughout the summer season.

Florian Picasso has released his latest single, ‘Dior,’ marking a new milestone in his evolving sound and artistic direction. The track arrives as a high-tempo, speed house production that blends trance-driven intensity with playful vocal elements and the unmistakable bassline of the Korg M1. Designed to resonate across both radio and festival environments, ‘Dior’ reflects a focus on high-impact energy and modern club sensibilities. Listen here.

Born as the great-grandson of Pablo Picasso and adopted from Vietnam, Florian Picasso has consistently explored themes of identity, gratitude, and self-discovery through his work. Music has remained central to that exploration, acting as both a creative outlet and a sense of belonging. The release comes at a pivotal moment for Picasso, who is currently undergoing a broader creative rebrand. It also serves as the lead single from his forthcoming Pretty Lies EP, scheduled for release at the end of next month. Early support from leading DJs has already positioned ‘Dior’ as a track gaining traction within global dance circuits.

This momentum extends into Picasso’s live schedule, with an Asia tour planned for May where he is expected to showcase the new material. The tour follows a series of notable performances that have reinforced his presence in the electronic music scene, including appearances at HÖR Berlin, Rex Club in Paris, OXI, and Pacha Ibiza as part of Solomun +1, as well as a well-attended ADE showcase with his Dekadance collective.
