Born and raised in India, Kautuk holds a degree and Masters in architecture and construction. He first went to Australia to pursue a path in construction; however, he was still looking into what he could do for his music. He shares his incredible journey with us.

About Kautuk’s life

Kautuk always loved music, more specifically EDM. He is a huge fan of the Swedish House Mafia. According to Kautuk, SHM is part of what inspired him to start his music writing and recording journey. He came across the group’s song ‘Don’t You Worry Child‘ as a teenager, and he was constantly listening to the track and their other music, which led him to start looking into EDM and even writing his own music.

“Just like SHM was always there for me through their music, I wanted to be there for someone else, and I thought music was the best way to do this. I wanted to create music that influences people to feel and reflect on their emotions“, Kautuk says.

His beginnings

Kautuk started experimenting with music production software to create music as a bedroom music producer before moving to Australia to pursue his Master’s. He also enrolled in a music school. But getting his big break in the industry wasn’t easy.

Kautuk says one of the biggest challenges was selling his music and brand without a proper music background. He performed several free gigs for ‘exposure’ because he hadn’t made a name for himself.

Even so, Kautuk didn’t give up on his passion. Undeterred, he continued investing in his brand and growing his network, which is how he got his first paid gig.

When Kautuk first came to Australia, like many students, he took on a part-time job. He was working in the hospitality sector, which led him to meet one of his close friends, a fellow student who was working as an Uber driver. They became good friends, and Kautuk introduced him to his music which he would play on his rides.

The spark

On one such occasion, the passenger, who happened to be a well-known music producer in the Gold Coast, heard Kautuk’s single, ‘What’s Wrong‘, and wanted to see more of Kautuk’s work. He was mesmerized with Kautuk’s sound and style and even offered him an opportunity to curtain raise in one of his shows, which was to be Kautuk’s first gig in Australia. Unfortunately, COVID started and everything came to a pause.

Kautuk began to produce music, growing his brand, and as the world opened up, he was now getting paid gigs. Kautuk has performed at multiple clubs and events in Australia and beyond. He has played at several renowned college festivals in India and opened for some big artists. His music has also garnered thousands of streams on Spotify.

“Following your passion is not easy. There are different obstacles, some of which make it seem like it is impossible. But you should never give up“, Kautuk says. Through his story, he reminds us that you can achieve your goals with hard work and determination. It is also okay to have more than one passion.

MY BAD also sees the successful EP as an inspiration to the many young artists struggling to pave their way into music. He acknowledges the many struggles that artists face but also remains steadfast that everyone has the potential to realize their success. He shares a real-life experience during his musical career, especially when he took a step back last year and dove into his roots on why he decided to do this in the first place, which is how this name and EP came to be. “I realized that I hold so much music back trying to perfect it, and it’s better off being out and into the world. I grew up listening to primary dubstep and bass music and wanted to showcase my spin on the OG sound that I loved with a touch of 2023 style“, he explains.

Duece’s music is characterized by his exceptional lyricism and hard-hitting beats. His ability to convey powerful messages through his music has helped him gain a significant following. His latest release, a collaboration with Stunna 4 Vegas, has been creating buzz and making waves in the industry. Duece has also teased a forthcoming release with The Game, adding more excitement to his fans.

While Duece is not yet producing his own music, he has worked with several talented producers who cater to his unique sound. He plans to learn the art of producing in the near future to take his music to the next level.

On Duece’s history

Duece’s journey in music began when he watched his sister and her team record in middle school. Their passion for music inspired him to give it a try himself. By high school, he had started making music and quickly gained a following. He has been consistently grinding since then, working on his music every day, whether it is writing a hook or a verse.

One of the most challenging things Duece has faced in his life is the loss of his mother and sister in the same year. However, he has been able to channel his emotions into his music, creating some of his most powerful work.

Duece’s greatest achievement as a musician was hitting a million streams independently, which is no small feat. He has also been co-signed by industry legends such as Kevin Gates, Rocko, Stitches, DJ Paul from 3-6 Mafia, and many more.

When asked about his inspiration, Duece stated that making it out of the hood, doing better for his community, and showing those who look up to him that we all have a dream and a gift that we can pursue are what inspire him the most. He dreams of working with Drake one day, but he’s not leaving it to chance; he’s putting in the work to make it happen.

Duece has a message for his fans: he wants them to forget their troubles when they listen to his music and know that anyone can get through anything. With a forthcoming album in the works and some big names on it, Duece Uno is coming strong in 2023, and we can’t wait to see what he has in store. Early Years

His journey in the music industry began at a young age when he was introduced to music through his family. His mother would make him and his sisters sing in front of the church every Sunday, and his older brothers were full-time rappers who inspired him to pursue music as a career.

In the third grade, J Aktive learned how to play the saxophone, which taught him how to read and write music. By the time he was a preteen, he recorded his first song and continued to make music throughout his teenage years. At the age of 22, he moved to Downtown Los Angeles and created Aktivate Productions, where he directed and edited music videos for other artists to make a living.

Making a name for himself

After years of being behind the scenes in the music industry, J Aktive wanted to take his music career into his own hands. He saved up money and dedicated everything he had to become a full-time artist. In 2022, he dropped his first debut album Bad Luv with the leading single ‘Pist Off‘ going viral on social media getting reposted from celebrities such as Janet Jackson, Deion Sanders, Mario Lopez, Dougie Fresh, and many others alike.

Despite not having a record label backing him up, J Aktive’s debut album reached over 3 million streams across all streaming platforms. He executively produced all of his own music, came up with the topics, selected the beats, and worked closely with his engineer to fine-tune and enhance every aspect of the song to execute his original vision.

J Aktive’s independence in the music industry has allowed him to experiment with different styles of music and sounds without being confined to a label’s expectations. He has also been able to connect more intimately with his fans and build a loyal following through his transparency and authenticity.

Final Words

J Aktive has many new singles coming out in 2023, and he plans to release 20 uniquely different new singles throughout the year. He wants to take the “Russ” approach and release a song once a week until he runs out of unreleased songs. He also has a major single coming out with a Platinum-selling artist this spring that he’s super excited about.

In conclusion, J Aktive’s road to independence in the music industry has been a long and challenging journey. He has faced many obstacles, but he has persevered and carved out a unique space for himself in the industry. His dedication and passion for music are evident in his work, and he continues to inspire others to be the best versions of themselves. Dreamscape is a digital record label built around a YouTube channel that launches in October 2020. In music, many ideas are not executed due to a lack of funds, and only those who are ready to go against all the norms and build a name from scratch can succeed. Initially, Dreamscape was just an idea. What got the brand off the ground was the team’s decision to use the power of Youtube and social media to do organic promotions for music. Within a short time, Dreamscape grew to become one of the best record labels. It was built to support upcoming artists and artists who view themselves as small and give them a stage where they can pour their hearts out in music. The now renowned record label is focused on fostering many artists and releasing their music to be listened to all over.

This proficient label has continued to promote artists through other social media platforms like TikTok and Spotify. øneheart, a music artist signed onto the label, is an excellent example of someone who has benefited from Dreamscape. He launched his career by being featured on Dreamscape and now has over 5 million monthly listeners on Spotify and a dedicated fanbase at the tender age of 16.

In less than two years, Dreamscape gained over 170 million views on YouTube, and its management sent them a 100,000 subscriber plaque. Their biggest release, øneheart & Reidnshi’s Snowfall, has surpassed over 100M streams on Spotify alone, with over 500K videos on TikTok and 40000 Instagram Reels, becoming a great hit. As a prominent electronic label, their releases have charted on Spotify and Shazam, and even the legendary Snoop Dog used their music in a comedic Instagram post.

Despite its stellar track record, Dreamscape’s road to success has had its share of challenges. The biggest hurdle was the lack of funds and navigating the complexities of the business. But they continued to utilize YouTube to promote more music, allowing the label to get exposure for its artists through organic sharing while working within a small budget. Inspired by their title, “Dreamscape,” the label’s team focused on the dreamy visual aesthetic and sound that differentiated them from other brands. Still, they have acquired a loyal fanbase inspired by the imaginary world, garnering a vast audience across all social media platforms.

For the team at Dreamscape, succeeding in music is about working towards something you are passionate about. The record label also started as a passion project for its founders, and now it has become much more. The Dreamscape team emphasizes that they are happy to make people feel good and are thrilled when they receive countless messages from supporters mentioning how their label helped them overcome personal issues and gave them a platform to discover new artists.

The label hopes to continue developing a community of artists and help their music reach a large number of people through their platforms. Their ultimate goal is to get over 1,000,000 subscribers on Youtube and be featured in a movie or TV show, preferably in the sci-fi genre, but most of all, they want to be able to adapt to the ever-changing music industry.

It all began when Marcus432 was a freshman in college at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. He downloaded Logic Pro X and started producing beats, and before long, he was recording and engineering songs for other artists at his school. After moving out of the dorms and into a house, he built a recording studio in his bedroom, which led to an influx of artists coming in and out of his studio to record songs that he would produce and engineer for them.

As he got more proficient at producing and engineering, Marcus432 started creating his own tracks from start to finish. He began by making comedic music while he was getting the hang of everything, and as the years went on, he gradually began taking it more and more seriously. He improved continuously and promised himself that he would never stop making music as long as he continued to see and feel like he was improving as an artist.

Despite facing mental health issues such as anxiety and depression, Marcus432 was able to overcome them by focusing on music, meditation, and self-hypnosis. He found that music was the answer to finding a replacement for basketball, which was the only thing he truly cared about growing up, but was not good enough to play at a professional level.

Currently independent and signed to no record label, Marcus432 is inspired by a wide range of artists including Mac Miller, Logic, Drake, The Kid Laroi, 24kGoldn, Russ, and Wiz Khalifa, among many others. He wants people to take away from his music that they can carve their own path and do anything they want in this world once they take control of their mind. He wants people to feel empowered and inspired to be the best versions of themselves.

With a 3-part EP currently in the midst of a rollout, Marcus432 is definitely an artist to keep an eye on in the future. His journey serves as an inspiration to anyone who has a dream and is willing to work hard to make it a reality. He has proven that with determination, perseverance, and a strong focus on one’s passion, anything is possible.
