The Weeknd Hints At Collab With French House Legends Justice

The Weeknd appears to be the latest pop star who’s fallen under the spell of house music. The artist behind some of the records that have resonated the most with our sounds and likes appears to be ready for another dance with house music. Last week, the man behind ‘Blinding Lights’ posted a couple of stories on Instagram featuring Justice’s logo. Now, the whole internet is buzzing with theories of a collaboration between The Weeknd and Justice.

The Weeknd is no stranger to collaborating with dance music artists. He’s previously worked with Gessafelstein, Daft Punk, and a couple other artists. Last year, we saw the Justice x The Weeknd trio team up for the first time. The French duo attended a celebration of the Weeknd’s new HBO TV show ‘The Idol’ and performed at a subsequent after-party.

Justice, on the other side, is currently gearing up for their first release in almost a decade. Widely known around the industry as one of the most influential acts in house music, the duo is confirmed to release their newest album this year. Could this new collab, if real, be part of this new album?

House Music Takeover?

Along with the Weeknd, more and more artists seem to have caught an interest in house music. We had Drake and Beyoncé last year. Lady Gaga did it before them. Now, Dua Lipa has also announced her latest album will be “a tribute to UK rave culture”. We seem to be one Taylor Swift album away from becoming the trendiest sound in pop culture.

What are your thoughts regarding the Justice x The Weeknd rumors? Are they true? Is it all just wishful thinking? And in the case it isn’t, will these new tracks be a hit or miss? Let us know what you think below!
