The site, famous for its various polls, has unveiled the most-voted festivals worldwide, according to their users.
DJ Mag has become one of the crucial actors in the EDM world. Every year, DJs ask listeners for a vote, and fans gather to see if their favourite DJ ranked high enough in the Top 100 DJs poll. This time, the website has come with yet another announcement: the results of the Top 100 Festivals 2022 are here.
2022’s Top 100 Festivals is the first poll of its kind hosted by DJ Mag since 2019, and also their first to include 100 names, rather than the previous 50. In the span of three weeks, over 100,000 valid votes were received. These votes make up the poll, and if you’ve been on social media or attended any of the following events, the results are, well, to be expected. Read on to find out which acts took topped the list.
DJ Mag’s Top 100 Festivals in short
The renowned poll revealed the following: the mythical Tomorrowland Belgium takes the crown, with Miami’s Ultra Music Festival ranking second, and Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas in third place. Other names you can think of when imagining large, successful festivals are also here, we’re talking UK’s Creamfields North, Italy’s Kappa FuturFestival, and Burning Man in the US. Some rather interesting names that make the cut this year could be Lollapalooza Brazil, and Anjunadeep Explorations, the latter of which makes it to the poll with just two editions so far.
Aside from the Top 100 Festivals, DJ Mag also ranks the Top 100 DJs and the Top 100 Clubs every year. The brand, which was born as a proper print magazine in the UK in 1991, has grown to become the site that is today, with a heavy influence on the Dance scene, reaching out to more than 90 million people each month.
