[Event Review] Blanke Brings the Party to Webster Hall

This past weekend Blanke made for an epic night – playing his headlining show at the iconic Webster Hall venue. To make the night even more special, he played his normal dj set but also a special  ÆON:MODE drum & bass set. To top it all off, this all happened on JP’s birthday. This was the party to be at in New York last weekend!

Starting off the night, Amidy opened as support before Blanke took the stage for his D&B set which got everyone in the room hyped as he took the decks. The venue was very packed even for the first set which just shows the loyal fanbase and hype that Blanke brings. D&B isn’t that popular in the U.S. with not many shows even booked for such a bustling city New York is. Right off the bat, he got fans jumping and dancing around with his infectious basslines and fluid transitions. Sounds like ‘Death Rattle’ and ‘Need & Pleasure’ perfectly described the mood of the night as everyone was taking in all of the rattling hooks and slings. After Blanke got off, Au5 took the decks and was the big shift of the night, as he played out some big dubstep drops and changed up the bpm.

After Au5 got off, everyone was ready for round two. The venue was fully packed at this point in the night with a buzz of excitement throughout the room. Blanke went on to perform an impressive set – packed with oldies from his earlier years to his 2022 goodies from Land Of The Wayfarer. He put his full arsenal of genres on display going from his melodic tracks released on Ophelia, to his bass rattling releases on Deadbeats and Dim Mak.

Additionally, check out his latest collaboration with Kompany, ‘Power‘.
