Apple Music Launches Apple Music Sing For Karaoke

Apple Music is launching a built-in karaoke feature called Apple Music Sing later this month. It will be available to all Apple music users worldwide. It seems there is no stopping the multitude of features Apple Music brings. You can access the feature on any iPhone, iPad, and newest Apple TV 4K. Get ready for tens of millions of songs at launch and 50 companion playlists grouped by genre, decade, and more.

Typically, karaoke players display lyrics on the screen and highlight vocals you should sing on the beat. Even YouTube has playlists for it. However, Apple will additionally have options to adjust vocal levels. That means singing as backup, taking the lead, or being a duet. Check out its features below. Navigation is easier with this and should be an enhanced experience. Home parties just got a whole lot more to offer.

  • Adjustable vocals: Users now have control over a song’s vocal levels. They can sing with the original artist vocals, take the lead, or mix it up on millions of songs in the Apple Music catalog.
  • Real-time lyrics: Users can sing along to their favorite songs with animated lyrics that dance to the rhythm of the vocals.
  • Background vocals: Vocal lines sung simultaneously can animate independently from the main vocals to make it easier for users to follow.
  • Duet view: Multiple vocalists show on opposite sides of the screen to make duets or multi-singer tracks easy to sing along to.

“Apple Music’s lyrics experience is consistently one of the most popular features on our service. We already know our users all over the world love to follow along to their favorite songs, so we wanted to evolve this offering even further to enable even more engagement around music through singing. It’s really a lot of fun, our customers are going to love it.”

Oliver Schusser, VP of Apple Music and Beats

This unparalleled lyrics experience coupled with an ever-expanding catalog of singable songs could put karaoke bars out. Try Apple Music Sing for yourselves and let us know how it is! Here’s me personally requesting that Apple now bring Dance Dance Revolution back for at-home fun too.
