Pioneer DJ Launches New DJ Controller for Beginners

Pioneer DJ announced the release of a new 2-channel DJ controller that targets complete beginners. As a matter of fact, the DDJ-FLX4 is a simpler version of the four-channel DDJ-FLX6, which landed in November 2020. This easy-to-use DJ controller features a simple, user-friendly design whilst offering a professional feel. It can be used with multiple DJ applications making it the perfect fit for starting DJs.

The DDJ-FLX4 allows you to connect to a PC, Mac, iPhone, iPad, or Android phone or tablet. Moreover, starting in 2023, rekordbox users are going to be able to connect to their device via Bluetooth® or USB cable. Obviously, Pioneer DJ really wants to make DJing accessible to the mass.

A new feature also debuts with the Pioneer DDJ-FLX4: Smart Mixing. It is designed for those new to the craft, and is split into Smart Fader—which automatically adjusts the volume, bass volume, and BPM of the music to enable smooth transitions—and Smart CFX, which applies a combination of effects at the twist of a knob.

The USB audio output on the Pioneer DDJ-FLX4 of the sound from the microphone allows users to be free from the need for external equipment such as a mixer or soundcard to add their voice to their mix. Instead, the sound from the microphone is output from the controller along with the music, so it is easy to share a set via a stream from a single computer.

The new Pioneer DDJ-FLX4 2-channel controller is officially on the market at the retail price of $299. For more information about the new controller, visit Pioneer DJ’s website, and check out the promotional clip below.
