Manhattan’s Lower East Side Gets New Virgo Nightclub

Virgo, a new 3,000-square-foot club is coming to Manhattan’s Lower East Side. MixMag reported the news yesterday. This new venue is located on the docks of the Lower East Side, in hopes to bring more electronic music to the area. So far, there is no opening date yet. Though, it promises to be a new revolution in New York City Nightlife.

Co-founder Thatcher Shultz named the venue after his own star sign. Early concept art of the club shows “wild” interior, LED walls, purple concrete bar, infinity mirrors, and a carpeted room for DJs to play in. Plus, there is an independent audio system hooked up to the back of the club.

“Unlike Brooklyn, Lower Manhattan hasn’t had a great lounge in electronic, house and disco in recent years. Now that the city’s consumers have developed a taste for these genres, Virgo offers them a premium music and nightlife experience around them.”

Co-Founder Duncan Abdelnour stated they invested heavily in their sound and lighting equipment because they know how important it is to the house and electronic scene. It will add extra sensory elements that build up excitement and emotion. Additionally, their world-class speakers and equipment ensure DJs don’t compromise their sound in Manhattan. What’s more, Virgo’s location not only aims to bring more electronic music, but techno especially, without having to go to Brooklyn.
