Today, Vancouver based pop duo, RYYZN drop their latest single titled ‘IIHYS (If It Helps You Sleep)’. The song is a high energy & emotional smash, written for the hopeless romantic in all of us. The lyrics address mental health issues that come with break ups. They touch on how it can be very hard to move on when there is a lack of closure. ‘IIHYS’ conveys the mental strain surrounding the self-sacrifice one makes in a one-sided relationship.
During the pandemic, RYYZN came together for their first virtual session ever with the Nashville based song-writers duo Katie Cecil + Chris Ganoudis. Combined, their talents brought forth incredibly authentic pop/punk guitar vibes. The chemistry was instantaneous. It was clear they created a special song when the demo version of the track remained relatively unchanged from the final version.
