Jon Hopkins is releasing a transcendent new collaboration with Brazilian techno producer ANNA. ‘Deep In The Glowing Heart (Night Version)‘ took over a month long, across the Atlantic. Now, their hard work pays off. You’ll find it an explosive release of energy, inspired by Hopkins’ return to regular DJing. Early versions of this track premiered to huge crowds by ANNA at Coachella and Hopkins at Fabric.
About The Track
The original version is found on Hopkins’ latest studio album Music For Psychedelic Therapy. It is quite eerie with an air of mystery, calm, and meditation. The Night Version is a very different journey, full of drumming beats and basslines. Hopkins attributes music as being able to cleanse and guide you. For further words on the song:
“I first came across ANNA’s music through her track ‘Hidden Beauties’. [I] found myself playing [that] in DJ sets all the time and always goes down so well. [She remixed ‘Singularity’] and the results were so amazing. I was super keen to work with her again but in a more collaborative way, rather than just handing over stems. We went back and forth a lot and it flowed really well. I love how this one turned out, it’s such a meeting of our two styles.”

Music For Psychedelic Therapy is Hopkins’ first full-length since Singularity and Immunity. He’s departed from those sounds since and gearing more towards something closer to a classical symphony. Now, he’s touring with his latest album in London, Austin, and Los Angeles. Upcoming shows include Wilderness Festival and Ireland’s Body & Soul Festival.
